Today, we’re traveling across Vietnam aboard SJourney by Golden Eagle, on an eight-day journey from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.

Known as the Southbound Legacy, this all-inclusive rail experience travels from northern to southern Vietnam, combining overnight train travel with daily excursions, cultural experiences and local cuisine. Along the way, we visit Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Phu Yen and Phan Thiet before arriving in Ho Chi Minh City.

◽️ What to Expect
Our journey begins in Hanoi, where we board SJourney and discover our private cabin, the restaurant carriage and the train’s Indochine-inspired interiors.

Over the next eight days, we travel through Vietnam’s countryside, mountains and coastal landscapes. Each day includes a different off-train experience, from the waterways of Ninh Binh and the caves of Quang Binh to the imperial heritage of Hue, the ancient streets of Hoi An and the beaches of southern Vietnam.

Back onboard, the experience includes all meals, drinks, afternoon tea, evening entertainment and seven nights inside our private cabin. This video shows the complete journey, including the train, accommodation, dining and every major destination along the route.
