In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don’t know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

    You should strictly avoid traveling to El Callao in Bolívar state, Venezuela, due to severe civil instability. The Venezuelan military is carrying out massive, aggressive operations against illegal mining operations. This has triggered a volatile security environment, with high risks of arbitrary detentions and extrajudicial executions by armed forces in the region. Troops are actively deployed in the region's key mining areas—including Las Cristinas and Km 88—making the municipality heavily militarized and unsafe.

    That’s incredible—you know more places in Venezuela than I do! It motivates me even more to step out of my comfort zone and go explore on my own.     That was great. I wouldn't have bothered to park, unpack, and leave a loaded bike there. It was really nice of them to suspend the rule and let Chillie in.

    Didn't know there were so many problems with gasoline. Good thing you had the octane booster with you.
    Incredible waterfall with such a nice selfie.
