  1. Really cool to see something a little different from the usual train trips (which I also love). The seafood you had looks great, and the rainy, cozy countryside.

  2. Still a lot of questions: even if abandoned, why leave cars behind? I do not know about Japan but in the west if a company goes bust, their assets are sold, which begs the question why this one wasnt sold? Lack of buyers? The land with the then still functioning houses must have been worth something, but maybe potential buyers foresaw the risk of inundation.
Oddly Google maps states it as "historical landmark"
It is quite a big place for the relatively few houses on it. Guess that was all reserved for the golf course

  3. Very interesting video, thank you. You are right, there is beauty in the nature reclaiming back what people had taken from it. I hope they keep this place because as you said, this is a paradise for wildlife. You are excellent at finding really unusual and beautiful places. Makes me want to go and see this particular town, visit the islands, may be eat at that friendly restaurant!

  5. I don't get that thing with the cow but I like the slow travel to unknown places. I also marked some of these places on my travel Japan map for the next visit. I just subscribed. Maybe I can some day walk the whole way through the ocean. Do they have a table when the tide is best for doing that on their city web page?

  6. I absolutely, love that small, Okonomiyaki , ramen izakaya (2hhr) It's my taste of Showa era Japan…the owner is so original and honest…in my opinion some customers want a clean environment blah blah blah…for me (I used to live in Japan) & experienced such places and they were & are my most favourite….

  7. Japan and the Japanese people are fantastic! I think they are on a higher level than any other nation in every way.

  8. 36:51 I know there's a big difference because of the exchange rate, but this set would easily cost US$35-40 in the US and there wouldn't be as much variety. It wasn't always that way in the US.
