My First 24 Hours in Nepal… Not What I Imagined🇳🇵

In this video I explore Kathmandu for the first time.

I started in Thamel and got straight into local life, jumping on a minibus across the city to visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. After climbing to the top, I got a full view over Kathmandu and a close look at the monkeys that live there.

On the way back down, I grabbed a fresh coconut from a street vendor, then stopped for breakfast to try sel roti, a sweet fried dough ring, with a cup of hot chiya.

From there, I took more local transport, this time a small electric three-wheeler, back into the city to explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, one of the most historic areas in Nepal. While walking around, I ended up donating blood.

After that, I went looking for a Dhaka topi, the traditional Nepali hat, then took a rickshaw across the city for lunch. I had dal bhat, the most popular dish in Nepal.

I finished the day walking back through the streets, trying local sweets and a lassi, and speaking to a guide about the living goddess in Durbar Square.

This was my first proper look at Kathmandu. Plenty more to come from Nepal! 🇳🇵

  1. We as nepalese need to start cleaning up our rivers, and nature. We can build our nation to be a paradise for hikers, and nature lovers, but we have to implement it ourselves first.

  2. wow, I cant believe the van ride was only 20 rupees. Most places they see a white dude they would try to scam him or give him the tourist price.

  3. The video is really good. As a Nepali, I must say that we are a country of art and aesthetics from long ago—woodcarving, fine arts, and so much more. Please stop using 3rd class AI thumbnails. It is really a disgrace to see. Thank you, and I hope you have a wonderful time here.

  4. I really appreciate how much research you did before visiting the country, unlike most vloggers who just wing it. You seem to know your way around better than some locals, honestly lol.

  5. Hello brother thank you for visiting my country and I want to recommend you some good place in nepal..I want to recommend you a place called Bhaktapur, which is near Kathmandu. Go there and you will get traditional Newari food

  6. The only thing to care about is the use of sterilised needle while taking the blood while donating the blood around the cities,99% of times there are professionals and MBBS for such but still you need to pay attention while donating it,they were the roundtable professionals so nothing to worry about and great job bro, enjoy your time in Nepal and explore as much as possible ❤️❤️❤️🫶🫶🇳🇵🇳🇵
