YAMATO−JI Nostalgia | Japan’s Ancient Heartland🦌Beauty once loved by travelers

Quiet longing for Yamatoji, I set out on a bicycle to wander through Nara’s summer and autumn light.. Asuka, the three pagodas of Ikaruga, the calm temples of Nishinokyō, the ancient grounds of Heijō Palace, Kasuga Taisha, and Tōdaiji Temple..with the words of the ancients as my compass, I trace the fragile threads of a “memory of Japan” that is slowly slipping away. One moment remains etched in my heart: the sunset from Mount Wakakusa, casting its gentle glow across the vast Yamato Plain—
a scene where time seems to pause, and the old soul of this land quietly breathes.【Please use the CC button for subtitles】

Did you enjoy Japan’s true, timeless essence? The Japan loved by the people I respect is still barely preserved here. I’d love to hear what you liked most about it!😊

  9. Such a beautifully nostalgic journey through Yamato-ji — Japan’s ancient heartland! 🦌✨ The landscapes, temples, and gentle atmosphere capture a timeless beauty once cherished by travelers. Every scene feels peaceful, soulful, and full of cultural depth. Truly a stunning and heart-touching video! 🙌 Channels like this truly inspire me — my full support is always with you! 🙌✨ +1 ❤❤❤

  10. @satosii Absolutely incredible cinematography, this is basically a full on produced documentary! The ethereal ambient music was perfectly produced as well and I was wondering who the voice might have been heh, very well done Kate! Every time I watch one of your videos, and it struck me again while watching this video in particular, I really just want to experience these places with no access to technology, phone zipped away in my backpack, and just experience life… ironic that I'm able to watch this through a screen, and yet it makes me reluctant that I use technology so much.

After years of telling people how much I love Winter, cold weather, snow, and even freezing winds (though this video might not have been during Winter) I've come to understand that I'm usually the odd one out, but I know very few things would make me feel so alive as to stand there watching the sunset and the grass sway, even with a freezing wind, beautiful scenery! The wooded areas filled with stone lanterns and camphor trees to the temples, pagodas, and curated gardens as well, just breathtaking. You've successfully added another travel destination to my list Satosii, thanks for the lovely video!

  11. This felt very calm and reflective. I really liked the slow pace, the cycling, and how the light and music work together. It captures a quiet side of Nara that’s easy to miss, and the sunset scenes especially stayed with me.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 🎄🥳
