Day 4 – Takamatsu Castle & Sanuki Udon 🇯🇵| Cycling from Japan to Australia 🚴

Day 4 – Castles, Udon, and the Shikoku Pilgrimage 🚲🏯

Woke up in Takamatsu and kicked off the day by visiting Takamatsu Castle! A day full of history, famous local food, and spiritual stops along the coast.

📍 Route: Takamatsu – Marugame – Kan’onji – Ariake-hama Beach

Highlights of the day:

🏯 Takamatsu & Marugame Castles: Visiting two historic castles, including Marugame, famous for its impressive stone walls! 🔥

🍜 Sanuki Udon: Tried Kagawa’s iconic dish at Muromachi Udon (室町うどん). Thick, chewy noodles in dashi broth—simple, local, and incredibly good! 🤍

⛩️ Temple Pilgrimage: Continued the journey by visiting Temples 78, 77, 70, 68, and 69 of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. 🙏

🌅 Zenigata Sunae: Sunset views of the massive sand sculpture, a symbol of prosperity. ✨
