〇2026年、遅ればせながらあけましておめでとうございます。（本本年初投稿なので）
１月４日（日）、深川師匠の誘ってもらって、伊勢神宮ライドに参加しました。
〇その日、雪の岐阜県から抜け出ていくと、三重県はまったく雪がなくハワイみたいでした。それは、私もハワイがもっと各段に暖かいことは知っております。でも、この時期、道路の凍結を心配せずにロードバイクで走れるところは、私にとってすべてハワイみたいな天国の場所に思えるのです。ハワイは一度も行ったことないけど。
〇今回、このライドを企画したのは鈴鹿の木村さんです。わかりやすい行程表とシートポストに貼る用のシールまで作っていただいて、至れり尽くせりでした。木村ご夫妻ありがおつございました。
〇ルートは津市のHOWAパークから伊勢神宮外宮まで往復約１００キロのコース。行きは途中から高速引きのウッチーさんのグループの末尾について、ひいこら走り、復路は逆風を受けながらがんばって走りました。とにかく、三重県のひとは鈴鹿があるせいか、早いひとばかりです。普段は峠ばかり走っている私は必死に追いかけました。
〇アラカンズで参加したのは、深川師匠と千田選手と私の３人。千田さんは伊勢うどんをずっと食べたかったらしくて念願がかないました。私も久々の伊勢うどん、やっぱり本場は格別にうまかった。
〇こんなふうに無事、２０２６年の初ライドも終わりました。１年は早い。気が付いたら今年の走り納めがすぐくるような気がするけど。まあ今年も自転車の投稿が多いと思いますが、よろしくお願いします。

First Ride of 2026: Ise Jingu Cycling Trip 🚴
Happy New Year 2026! (A bit late, but since this is my first post of the year.)
On Sunday, January 4th, I joined the “Ise Jingu Ride” after being invited by Master Fukagawa.
Leaving snowy Gifu Prefecture that day, I found Mie Prefecture had absolutely no snow—it felt just like Hawaii!
I know, I know—Hawaii is actually much warmer. But at this time of year, any place where I can ride my road bike without worrying about frozen roads feels like a Hawaiian paradise to me. (Even though I’ve never actually been to Hawaii!)
This ride was organized by Mr. Kimura from Suzuka. It was incredibly well-planned, complete with an easy-to-read itinerary and even stickers for our seat posts. Thank you so much to Mr. and Mrs. Kimura for your amazing hospitality!
The route was a round trip of about 100km from HOWA Park in Tsu City to Ise Jingu Geku (Outer Shrine).
On the way there, I hung on for dear life at the back of “Ucchi-san’s” high-speed group. On the way back, I fought hard against a headwind.
Maybe it’s because the Suzuka Circuit is there, but everyone from Mie is incredibly fast! As someone who usually just climbs mountain passes at my own pace, I was desperate just trying to keep up.
Three of us from the “Ara-kans” (Around 60s) team joined: Master Fukagawa, Mr. Senda, and myself.
Mr. Senda had been wanting to try Ise Udon for a long time, so his wish finally came true. I hadn’t had it in a while either, and the authentic taste was truly exceptional.
And so, my first ride of 2026 ended safely.
Time flies so fast—I feel like I’ll be writing about my “last ride of the year” before I know it.
