I stayed on the island a few times. The last timr was just before the pandemic. I stayed in White Sands Beach which comes first coming for the ferry. It was quite nice. Beach restaurants on the beach and things were good. The Bang Bao at the final end of the island with the nice old wooden simple jetty is nice too. It is a good starting point for trips out in the archipelago.
I personally don’t mind people who want to chill and enjoy weed and mindlessly scroll. Or party or whatever.
They’re for sure leaving a ton of amazing experiences on the table, but it’s their life not mine.
I think that’s one of the beautiful things about Thailand, there’s something for everyone! Even mindless TikTok robots 😂

Hi Paddy. Did you take these drone flights now, during the ongoing conflict? I want to fly a drone in mid-January 2026 on Koh Chang, Koh Kood, and Koh Mak. Are there any restrictions that are only on paper, or is it impossible to take off a drone in these places now? Greetings from Gdansk. Leon.
I was in Koh Chang whole November back in 2019 in WSB area and I loved it, and today watching this and other videos from the same area, it´s not fun anymore. Drugs and way to much party. Perhaps visit the other side next time…

Hi, I've stayed mostly on the "turn-right" side around 2018 and I'm not surprised how things have changed over the last years. As you say it really depends on your group (solo, young couple, kids, …). I remember staying at Nature Beach Resort at Lonely Beach and it was great (& budget friendly) and having one the best Döner Kebabs on the night market near ERAWAN. For me staying in a place for weeks feels off, but taste is different (and sometimes feels off). You managed to transfer this in this video greatly! Thank you.
Great content as usual , I also enjoyed Koh Chang great for songkran, I was there last month and took the left turn and it was amazing staying at the Salakphet Resort , also amazing traditional food at nearby small fishing village , the other side white sand beach and lonely beach is for tourists doing the tourist thing which is great for those relaxing
Paddy have you been Koh si Chang ? Now you’ll love it there no bars , not even a 7/11 great food a few beaches an amazing wat temple 🛕 with great views a real authentic island unlike the others , if you haven’t been you’ll love it , 60 baht on the ferry from Si Racha

I am with you Paddy, regarding which side of the Island I'd prefer to spend most of my time if I ever get there. Crowds aren't my thing, whereas nature is, or quieter places at least. That golden sunset was magnificent – the best golden one I've ever seen. Thanks for another very enjoyable video & looking forward to the next one.

Those curvy roads on the scooter are epic!!!!!!!!😁 The waterfalls are great as well ! Stayed at Siam Bay Resort right at the S curve, beautiful place but after a few days I was bored to death so it was back to Pattaya early.
I work hard to take a holiday to just sit and chill.. I think it's normal 😅😅😅 on my holiday I maybe take some days to do activities and few days to do nothing just relax 🥰🥰🥰

Paddy can you do an in depth informative video on how you manage to travel for days on end wearing only 2 t-shirts? 🙂 Do most resorts have laundry facilities?
It’s fair to give honest feedback thank you Paddy. People spend not only money and dreams but time and precious holiday time away from work to be there and the disappointment of an under maintenance hotel would be a let down for many people. I hope they are alerting people they are under maintenance when booking. I love more natural less busy parts of Thailand too.

Such a shame to see that the hotel is in this state… In January 2023 it was thriving (they were just about to start with the renovations, but the ''old dated'' rooms were still fine!) Bar and restaurant was lovely to sit. I hope they earn enough money to do the hotel up nicely
