Shin-Akatsu Station (Higashimurayama City, Tokyo). I’m going to take a detour. There were lots of chestnuts lying under the chestnut trees (Kurikibashi Street). The reason for this detour was to visit this bakery and I bought two loaves of bread. There was a bus stop nearby. For some reason, the first bus of the day was at 12:38. I didn’t have time to eat lunch so I ate one here. It was embarrassing to sit at the bus stop so I went into a deserted alley and ate it. The simple flavor was really good and the chikuwa bread disappeared in no time. The first bus of the day has arrived. I’m a Saitama resident, but I crossed the prefectural border to return to Saitama. Tokorozawa Station (Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture). The Totoro departure melody was playing so I got on the train, but it was the one just before my scheduled train. I’ll change at Nishi -Tokorozawa . Today’s backpack is 13kg + 1.3kg of something in an IKEA bag (Seibu is yellow after all). The campsite can be accessed from several stations, but I’ll start from in front of Seibu Lions Stadium! It’s about a 30-minute walk to the Belluna Dome campsite, but I think renting a bicycle is more fun. I’ll use Hello Cycling. I thought I could get there in about 15 minutes… (I attached a camera mount to my bike to take this photo.) (Hurry!) The slope is surprisingly steep! My thighs are screaming ! Persimmons are scattered on the road, making me feel the autumn (although there are no persimmon trees). I’ve entered Tokyo (Higashiyamato City) again. I ‘ve been pushing my bike most of the way here lol. I have to take a detour due to construction work. From here, I should finally be able to enjoy cycling! I set off in the lightest gear. ( Lake Tama) I can see the buildings in the city center . No good! I can’t pedal! This is the Sayama Hills. There are uphill and downhill slopes. Cycling feels great! (But only on the downhill slopes.) Another uphill slope… The leaves are fluttering down from the trees, where the leaves are starting to turn red, making me feel the autumn. I found a campsite! I went to the nearest station to return my bike. After enjoying my autumn cycling, all I had to do was walk back a few hundred meters, but… it was full and I couldn’t return it! I went down to the city center in search of the next nearest station. It seems I’ve come to Narabashi Civic Center, so it looks like it will take more than 20 minutes to walk to the campsite… I’ve been down and down to get here, so now I have to go up the hill, which is tough… I’ll keep an eye on the buses just in case, so I’ll walk . I’ll also keep an eye on the Toei buses just in case, so I give up. As I was walking through a residential area… someone was singing “Touch” – they were doing karaoke lol. I thought I was on this road, but it was this narrow road. Is it okay? Is it okay to Google it? (Rehearsal sounds leaking from the Belluna Dome) (By the way, tomorrow’s event is Travis Scott) (Sound has been covered due to copyright issues) (Touch…I think it’s okay lol) Today I was planning to enjoy urban camping, but wait …? I’ll be careful every minute (I’m a habitual strayer) (Apparently not) I have to go down another narrow road. What is the west exit…? Today wasn’t supposed to be like this… I have a map , but the ground feels soft…! Another branching ruin, which I’m not good at… (walking quickly) I made it back to the road I rode my bike on earlier! We finally arrived… (we walked for 35 minutes) The reception is cool We are about an hour later than planned (we have already contacted them) We receive a basket containing deck pegs and garbage bags It is a campsite with all sites being wooden decks Since it is a weekday we were able to choose an available spot There seemed to be two groups staying at the higher sites (this is convenient for those with cars) I think we will choose a site at the bottom The campsite itself has differences in elevation and some sites also have steps, each with its own characteristics so the layout looks fun I will choose site A as it has cute electric lights I will camp here My back is drenched in sweat… at last my back is free I can finally quench my thirst Finally I can go to the toilet The toilet is clean! (Air conditioned) I think this is the cleanest toilet I’ve ever had I brought the larger Astagia tent They lend us deck pegs for free Let’s start assembling We have heat resistant boards so you can have a bonfire on the deck As we ‘re not making a bonfire this time, we’ll move on for now I have something I brought with me instead of a bonfire today A ring pole that makes you want to hula hoop This is the second time I’ve used this tent in a video but actually there was a camping trip that was scrapped for some reason and didn’t make it into the video… Hang the carabiner on the deck peg to the loop on the tent The tent is decagonal Insert the centre pole It’s a little crooked Adjust it so it’s even Fold the hexagonal sheet and use it Sit down for a while (I attached a camera to the pole to take the photo) (What do you think of this new camera angle?) (I like it lol) Let’s have a snack for now! The sun is setting, so I’ll go get some water (it takes 10 seconds to get to the tap). The coffee is “Autumn,” a coffee I bought at Muji. This is my third Willdo mug. It’s not a standard color, so it’s not often sold , and it’s expensive, but I bought it because it was cute. It’s a color called “Blueberry” (I let it steep for a bit). The aroma of the coffee is soothing. Today’s snack is Totoro bread. Adding some Takenoko no Sato makes it even cuter. Why Totoro bread today? The area we’re in now is called the Sayama Hills, a naturally rich area that straddles Saitama and Tokyo, and is also the setting for “My Neighbor Totoro.” This Totoro bread is n’t just made by a bakery, but by the bakery frequented by Hayao Miyazaki. The place name “Hakkokuyama,” which is the origin of the name “Seven Kingdoms,” is also located on the east side of the Sayama Hills. So… Here we go! I’m a bamboo shoot fan (but I’ll also eat mushrooms if I’m given one). It’s so cute, it would be a shame to eat it! I feel sorry for them, but I say “thank you for the meal” and have eaten about three of them so far. The stomach is made of melon bread dough and there is chocolate cream inside . I’m sorry… There are several areas in the Sayama Hills where activities to protect nature are being carried out, known as “Totoro Forests.” I was planning to stop by a nearby one on my bike ride, but when I looked into it, I found out it was just a forest, so I gave up. Apparently, there is a big Totoro at Kurosuke’s house, which is run by the foundation that is carrying out this activity. I haven’t been to Ghibli Park yet, but I have been to Satsuki and Mei’s house (2017). 。 English: (8 years ago…) Thank you for the meal! When I was in elementary school, I learned to play the electone, and my favorite song was “Wind Path.” The evening bells have started to ring, but I haven’t finished setting up in the tent yet. When I first started camping, I used a lot of beige and khaki items, but recently I’ve been captivated by colorful items. This isn’t just limited to camping, I’ve also started to like colorful clothes and belongings. Looking back, I feel like I was in a narrow world, both mentally and environmentally, as if I was bound by something . Even during the time when time sickness was prevalent, I was still able to have a fair amount of freedom and fun (or so I’d like to think). At a certain point, I started to feel like I was no longer fitting in with myself, and when I realized this (we call this “awareness” in spiritual terms), I developed new values and a new worldview (there are times like that in life). It started to get dark earlier. I’m going to assemble a lantern stand. It was about 600 yen on AliExpress . Perfect for Goal Zero! 。。。 English: What came in the IKEA bag was a ZARA stove… no, it wasn’t. It’s meant to be used with OD cans, but it sometimes catches fire, so I’m going to try it outside (passed). The cute lights lit up just as I intended. There’s a square nearby with a view of Mt. Fuji , and I wanted to go there at sunset, but I’ve walked a lot today so I’ll pass… I’ll get up early in the morning and go. I changed into a sweater . It was about 20°C during the day, and I was moving around a lot with heavy luggage, so I was sweating non-stop, but it gets cold as the sun goes down. I’m going to make dinner . This time, the theme is to take it easy nearby, so it shouldn’t be a hard camping trip, but I’m pretty tired…lol I want to eat dinner quickly and relax, but I have a lot to do… Dinner is easy to make (itchy nose) . My nose is running…maybe I’ve caught a cold? I’ll season the onions, carrots , potatoes , and chicken with salt and pepper. Today’s stew is this stew by Harumi Kurihara! I also buy Family Mart shrimp pilaf, Family Mart burdock salad, and the broccoli used in Family Mart fried sausage stew, all from Family Mart (the closest convenience store to my house). I’d like to enjoy cooking on the stove, but I’m a little scared of the stove fire (although I do ventilate the room). It’s the season when I miss the warmth of a campfire when I turn on the stove , but cleaning up afterwards is a pain… so today I decided to use the stove . Last time, we went on a hard mountain climbing camping trip, so it’s camping, but it feels more urban… I want to enjoy camping as an extension of everyday life. I think so. I’ll fry the chicken in butter. When the chicken starts to brown, add the onion. Once the onion is soft, add the carrots and potatoes, about 100ml of water, and about 100ml of milk. Quickly dissolve Harumi’s stew powder, turn off the heat, and set aside. Place the shrimp pilaf and broccoli on a plate and move it. “I’ll borrow the microwave.” I’ll roast the fried sausages in a roaster. Once they’re lightly browned, I’ll finish the stew by adding melted cheese to add richness. I’ll add the colorful broccoli. Once the broccoli is cooked through, it’s done! I’ll also serve the burdock salad. Finally, I’ll have some parsley and black bean tea (no alcohol) ! I wonder how Harumi’s stew tastes? It’s delicious! The cheese gives it a rich flavor and a strong bouillon-like taste. I’ll also try the shrimp pilaf. It’s delicious! It goes well with stew. The fried sausages didn’t even need to be fried (it’s enough for two people). Thank you for the meal! I’m full! I quickly wipe off the dirt and then go to wash the dishes – they’re completely black with soot! 楽しみです。 English: I can wash the dishes at a distance similar to being at home. I put my toiletries in the bag that the Uniflame pot came in and go to take a shower. The shower is free to use and is clean, and there is shampoo and other things provided. I feel refreshed and warm. I also picked up the hair from the drain and dried my hair with the hair dryer in the bathroom. Today I will be uploading a video of our mountain climbing camping trip to Tateyama . I always announce it on Instagram when I upload a video , and I will post it on Instagram now . I have the subtitles set up so that it can be viewed in multiple languages, but I ‘m not done yet so I will set it up by tonight (itchy nose) (itchy nose) It’s getting cold so I’ll close it (ventilation) You might think, “Why a computer on a camping trip?” but since I’m editing a camping video, it’s very relaxing. My companion while I work is amazake (sweet sake) . I bought some to drink at Tateyama but didn’t have the chance… It has ginger in it, so it warms me up (itchy nose) I’ve run out of gas . I wasn’t able to finish subtitles on this day… The bathroom is warm, which is a relief. Bangs Suneo. It got brighter as I washed my face and put on makeup . I will try to go to the plaza that I couldn’t go to yesterday. I slipped through the gap that I couldn’t get out of. This is the west exit plaza. You can also see Mt. Fuji! I think the sunset is beautiful , and it’s even more beautiful when the city lights are lit (suspicious person). The gas in the stove ran out, but I kept the other one for the morning. DEAN & DELUCA’s Tokyo Blend. It has the taste of Tokyo, in other words, a sophisticated taste (↑ Saitama resident). For breakfast, I had Neoguri Ramen. It’s my favorite Korean ramen. I have half a cup of milk left from yesterday, so I’m going to try making it creamier. I’ll make it with less water than usual. I added milk, fried sausage, and cheese. I added plenty of green onions and a little chili oil… (I added too much…) I forgot to add the sesame seeds, but it’s finished! I also had burdock salad with it! This is my first time trying this variation, but I wonder how it will turn out…? The chewy noodles in the Neoguri are a good match for the creamy flavor, but… it’s delicious! I added too much chili oil, so it’s spicy! The fried sausage topping is also perfect . They didn’t need to be fried, but the excess chili oil warms it up. The mayonnaise in the burdock salad helps to balance it out. The wakame seaweed keeps piling up. Thank you for the meal~ It was too spicy, so I couldn’t really taste the creaminess lol . I’ll take a short rest and start packing up. It was a cozy campsite! I enjoyed urban camping, and they even collected the sorted trash. On the way back, instead of stopping in front of Seibu Stadium, the Tama Monorail terminus is about a 25-minute walk from here, so I plan to take the Tama Monorail to Tachikawa and go home. I actually went along this road, turned around halfway, and took a long detour to the station, but I think going through the forest is a shortcut . I think it will probably work! Lol, I took a long detour to get there, so I want to take a shortcut on the way back! Lots of acorns! West Exit Rest Area (smirking). I came across a schnauzer on a walk. I also came across a large spider. I proceeded carefully, being careful not to destroy the nest it had worked so hard to build. Will I be able to get out onto the road? What if I end up in someone’s backyard… (There are so many bugs.) I made it out onto the road! Is it Ome-kaido? I love the end of train tracks (trains). Of course, I got right in front (trains ) . I was planning to transfer to the Chuo Line, but there was something I had left to do. I haven’t finished subtitles for the video yet (itchy nose) . The next morning, my runny nose got even worse. At the time, I thought it was just a cold, but … it’s hay fever. There was a video that was scrapped for some reason because my hay fever made camping impossible. I was completely consumed by the pollen that had stuck to my tent… When I got home and did some maintenance on my tent, I was surprised to see the towel I used to wipe it turn yellow…! (My hay fever went away in two days.)
