11月京都ひとり旅。瑠璃光院と大原三千院で紅葉満喫Vlog※前回動画の観光シーン抜粋

Hello, this is BABALOG. This time, I’d like to introduce some recommended tourist spots in the quiet, less crowded northern area of Kyoto that I wasn’t able to cover in my previous video. I took a reckless solo trip, riding my electric assist bicycle to RURIKOIN, climbing Mount Hiei, and then continuing on to OHARA SANZENIN. I really enjoyed being in Kyoto in autumn when the leaves began to change color, so if you’d like, please watch the video until the end. EIZAN Electric Railway, YASE-HIEIZANGUCHI Station. This time I used a bicycle. But if you want to get to RURIKOIN by train, you can take the Keihan train straight from Demachiyanagi station to the Eizan train line and get off at the last stop, Yase-hieizanguchi station. In autumn, EIZAN Electric Railway lights up its autumn foliage tunnel for a limited time. It’s fun, as if the journey begins already along the way. The reason I decided to visit on this day was because RURIKOIN became reservation-only from the next day, November 8th, and I was able to visit for free until November 7th. It was a Friday, so I was thinking of giving up if there was a line. There weren’t many people there on a weekday, so I was able to get in right away. RURIKOIN TEMPLE. This garden is so beautiful that I can’t go on. RURIKOIN is a Jodo Shinshu temple famous for its reflections in the autumn leaves. The scenery reflected on the polished desk looks like a painting. In early summer it reflects deep green, and in autumn it reflects vibrant autumn leaves. The place looks completely different depending on the season. You can even place your camera on the table and take photos. Everyone who comes here is considerate and the security is good. Once it opens to the public and the scenery is at its best, many people will visit, so it is wise to make a reservation in advance. The garden seen from the SUKIYA-STYLE temple is very beautiful. This place is not just for taking photos of the autumn leaves reflected on the table, but also has other attractions such as the opportunity to try out copying sutras. The green foliage here is also beautiful from spring to summer, making it a relaxing and satisfying place no matter the season. There is a Cable Yase Station between Yase-Hieizanguchi Station and Rurikoin Station. Here you can take a cable car up Mount Hiei. I was planning to ride my bike immediately, but the cable car was about to depart at that time. I climbed Mount Hiei by taking the cable car and ropeway, which I had never ridden before. This felt like sightseeing on a cable car or ropeway, and I was excited. If you take the ropeway to Hiei Mountain Summit Station, there are buses that go to Kyoto Station and other places, so you can return to the city from the summit in one go. I bought a round-trip ticket for the cable car and ropeway for 2,000 yen, so I took the ropeway down the mountain. I had some time before my cable car transfer, so I enjoyed the panoramic view of Kyoto and Osaka. Here, there is a stand for taking selfies, so you can take satisfying photos even by yourself. There is an activity called “KAWARAKE Throwing” where you throw plates with wishes written on them into a hoop, which is like a test of luck. This was difficult and I couldn’t fit any in. I bought two sets and threw a total of six balls, but I was wiped out. I’ll try my best to increase my luck on my own. After enjoying Mount Hiei, I head to my final destination for the day, OHARA SANZENIN. It is approximately 7km from RURIKOIN to OHARA SANZENIN. If you go left on this road you will arrive at JAKKOIN. As you approach OHARA SANZENIN, there is a route that leads to JAKKOIN if you go off the road a little. Due to time constraints, I was unable to go to JAKKOIN this time. If you have time for a walk, you can walk directly from JAKKOIN to OHARA SANZENIN. So you can enjoy OHARA to the fullest. As you can see, the climb from here is steep, but thanks to the electric assist I was able to climb easily and arrive at my destination. My final destination was OHARA SANZENIN. OHARA SANZENIN is a historic temple located in the quiet mountain village of OHARA, Kyoto. OHARA SANZENIN is surrounded by a moss garden and a grove of cedar trees. OHARA SANZENIN is enveloped in a unique, soothing atmosphere where time seems to flow slowly. You can drink matcha green tea in the grounds of OHARA SANZENIN. I took a break while looking at the garden. There are also many Japanese restaurants in the area, so you won’t have any trouble finding lunch. OHARA SANZENIN is a picturesque temple dotted with moss gardens and baby Jizo statues. There are many children’s Jizo statues scattered around, making this a recommended photo spot. The fresh greenery of spring, the coolness of summer, the autumn leaves, and the snowy scenery of winter. OHARA SANZENIN changes its appearance with each season, so it is a temple that can be enjoyed at any time. Young Jizo statues can be seen peeking out from the moss. The hydrangeas are in full bloom even in the rainy season in June, so you can feel at ease here no matter when you visit. OHARA SANZENIN is not too large and is easy to get around, so it is also famous as a tourist destination. However, even though the leaves were starting to change color, there were not many people here, so I was able to take my time sightseeing. OHARA SANZENIN is located further north than RURIKOIN, and the air is clear and clean. You can walk around the spacious garden here, making it a recommended relaxing spot in Kyoto when you want to relax.
