Inolvidable experiencia Warmshowers! 🇰🇷 잊지 못할 워름샤워스! (Cycling in Korea, Etapa 48) Thanks Nick K

Welcome to Daegu. We’re here today with Min. Hello. I’m staying with him. I’d love to know if you could explain a little bit about the concept of this warm shower. So, the warm shower is for bike tourists, and most of the hosts have already ridden a bike. They know what you need and what you want. [Music] The bike path today is indescribable. How beautiful, how wonderful to have connected with it. Finally meeting these altruistic people who offer their homes to travelers like me. I’ll surely want to return all that they’ve given me, which is a lot. I’m on my way to Andong. Maybe it needs a little more time to mature. It’s very good. Oh, I love it. I love it. The meat is seasoned. So it’s very tasty , and I went from being in the countryside to finding myself at the LG offices. Wonderful sunset and the mountains and the town of Gumí. Good morning on another stage here with Backpacking. Today I wake up to incredible views from my warmshower accommodation. Enjoy. Welcome to Daegu. We are here today with Min. Hello. I’m staying with him. Uh I stayed yesterday night and we are using like the showers. I would love to know if you can explain me a little bit about the concept of this warm shower. So warm shower is for the bike to be only for bike and most of the host they already told the bike they know what you need and what you want. So it’s pretty comic for the tourist and also as you as a guest after the hospitality he has a lot like such a good guy such a good guy so back to your country or when you have the chance to host another to other guests that kind of good circle You give back all of it. Not for the host for another guest. It’s amazing. And also we have amazing views in the background. It’s amazing chat. Thank you for breakfast to brother. What is this, bro? This is my guest book. Memories. I love those memories. Yeah. From France, I think. And can I write in Spanish or doesn’t matter? So this guy from Russia and he sends some stuff to me when he comes back to Russia. Nice. I just keep it for the memory. And these guys from Austria, I think. Yeah, I love wine. Actually, Castillo del [ __ ] Chile. Oh, what about New Zealand? Oh good. Uh, really? No, not really. The problem is Muga from Spain. Okay. Interesting. Yeah. Oh, I love that. So, if someone sends you a letter, you put it there and you there. Yeah. Amazing unicyclist. Oh man. And this guy coming with his dad and he has a competition in Korea. Wow. Stay at my place and I went to this competition to watch it. Oh my god. So cool. Even like oneel racing. I have never seen that competition I think. And of course the connection with Nick. Yeah, here is the memory to keep you for me. Such a good bike. Guys, this can be an epic moment. Uh, I have a rack. He just told me I could have it. So, we’re trying to put it on and install my bike because I really needed to have a lot of weight on the back. So fingers crossed, more than happy already. It’s working. Uh, we found kind of an instant option. Uh, we need to find some good screws here, but fix well. So crazy. Thank you so much, bro. Fingers crossed for the rack. We just put it on, like, kind of for maybe one or two days’ supply. I think it looks nice. Fingers crossed, so see you Friday. Next Friday I have a wedding here in Degu coming back, and of course I will love this amazing guy. See you Friday. We keep pedaling and following the route after having an incredible experience with Minumbo to my first stop, Ganion Certification Center. Here in Degu, the entire bike path runs alongside the river. How nice to have connected with him. In the end, meeting these kinds of altruistic people who offer their homes to travelers like me, well, it’s heartwarming. He was traveling a lot through America and Canada and was also using the platform. So now, as a host, he wants to give back a little of all the love and help he received when he was traveling. In the end, it’s a clear example of life, isn’t it? I think if we support each other and share, we can achieve wonderful things, and ultimately, there’s nothing like helping each other. It’s a case of one good turn deserves another. Right now, I’m traveling, but I’m sure I know myself. At some point I’ll stop. I’m not going to right now, but at some point I will stop, and I’ll probably want to give back everything I’ve received, which is a lot. Try to do the same, right? Give back all that love and help I’ve received during all these years of traveling. What a great little spot they’ve set up right here next to the bridge. Yes. Where are you going today? Oh, okay. So that way. Oh, same way. I’m on my way to maybe coming. [ Applause] [Music] [Music] And oh and [Music] I’ve been enjoying this view for about two days now: the bike path, the river, and just a bunch of skyscrapers with apartments in the background. It’s different from what I’m used to, but in a way, it’s very beautiful. I just met this father and son. It’s going to be about 40 km, they told me, and we’re going in the same direction, so maybe we’ll meet up for a drink later. Welcome back to nature. First stop of the day to get my Chilgokbo stamp . We continue along the route. It’s incredible what they’ve built on this bike path. The footbridge is super pretty. Today’s bike path is simply amazing. So beautiful. I can already see the signs indicating my next destination, the city of Hangdown. I have 167 km left. It will take me approximately two and a half stages. I just found a tree full of peaches. Let’s try them. Mm, they’re a little underripe, but they’re very good. Time to stop for lunch. [Music] It looks very good. The meat is seasoned with delicious spices. The nuggets are also very tasty. They have strips of egg, seaweed, and sesame. It’s a little spicy, but not too much. Very good. Oh, I love it. I love it. I like it. Beautiful. In the restaurant, we can find small caricatures of her. The woman is super endearing. I highly recommend stopping and eating here. This is the place. We continue on our way. Arriving at the famous Chilgokbo Bridge, the Chilgokbo Certification Center. Second stop for a stamp today. [Music] [Music] In about a week I’ll be able to eat apples. They’re almost there. In this central-southwest part of the country , these apartment blocks are really catching my eye . There’s nothing around, it’s a small town and suddenly you find, bam, a bunch of buildings. Let’s see if any of them catch anything. [Applause] And I went from being in the countryside to finding the LG offices. Gumi. With big bridges like this, we have to press the button and wait for the green light. What a great turn this is turning out to be. [Applause] What we see in the background are the mountains and the city of Gumi. A wonderful sunset and the mountains in the town of Gumi. And with that sunset, I want to end today’s adventure here with my coffee and Gumi in the background. If you want to support me and buy me a coffee, I’ll give you the link in the description. Thank you so much. [Music] And we continued the night in Gumibo. Attention passengers, fasten your seatbelts. We’re about to take off. xD. [Music]
