100万軽キャンで車中生活。夏のスキー場は車中泊天国??安さの裏にあった落とし穴

Hello! My name is Kupio. I’m currently near the border between Niigata and Nagano prefectures. I ‘m in a spot where you can see the Fossa Magna, a fault line that divides Japan in two. As expected, it’s cooler in the mountains. Today, I plan to continue toward Nagano Prefecture and sleep in the cooler Hakuba. I installed a new 12V air conditioner, so I’ll use it if it gets too hot. I also brought a circulator today. It will efficiently cool the entire car by blowing cool air from the air conditioner throughout the interior. A new car camping spot has opened in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture. It seems to be in a great location. I’ve reserved one for today. I’ll drive safely. Hakuba Village is an exciting ski town. Sleeping in a car in a tourist spot also reduces travel costs. I want to explore new places. I’m in front of JR Hakuba Station. It has a lovely retro atmosphere. There’s a souvenir shop. I’ll stop by for a bit before heading to the car camping spot. The car camping spot is 3 minutes from here. We’ve arrived. The fare is 1,500 yen. It’s located in the center of Hakuba, so it’s easily accessible. I was looking forward to this new car camping spot. However, it turned out to be quite different from what I expected. This is the base of the parking lot. My feet are buried in the grass. This is the reserved car stay area. There are two spaces. This area was overgrown with grass, so I backed up a few times to push the grass down. I backed up on the other side and crushed the grass with my tires until I was able to walk. I received a message from the manager apologizing for not having finished mowing in time. It looked like this. There was one other unexpected thing. I thought this building was a restroom, but it was a rental car waiting room. So it wasn’t a restroom. Here’s the car stay information. This is the car stay area. This side is the car share area. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is at noon. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. Regarding fires in the parking lot: Open fires and other open flames are prohibited. Please use barbecue grills and other cooking equipment. Interestingly, there is an irrigation channel behind the parking lot, so you can get water there. However, please do not dump garbage or water into the canal. This is the canal. However, the grass is overgrown and the current is fast, so it seems dangerous. I think it would be possible to bring a fishing bucket and scoop it up with a string. Since it’s groundwater from the Northern Alps, I think the water is quite clean. You can also see the ski resort. There are fields surrounding the parking lot. It’s a great location with a nice road that makes it a great place to take a walk. However, the grass is overgrown. There are no toilets on the premises, so I can see why it’s so cheap. However, there is a Lawson right in front of me. I do have a toilet in the car just in case. I prefer to use the convenience store once in the middle of the night and then go to bed early. I’d like to do some shopping together then. There are quite a few shops in the area, including a hot spring and Snow Peak. I’d like to enjoy various things while walking. A camper van with a toilet is recommended because it’s easily accessible and inexpensive. We take a coffee break in the car and plan our trip. The outside temperature is 25.8°C(78.44000℉). The inside temperature is 29.5°C(85.10000℉). The engine heat makes the interior of the car hot, so I use the 12V cooler to check it. It’s cool and comfortable. The biggest advantage of a 12V cooler is that it’s ready to use without any setup. The 12L refrigerator means I can always have iced coffee. It’s blissful. I enjoy my coffee with tiramisu dorayaki. There’s a hot spring within walking distance, and it seems there’s also a roadside station about a five-minute drive away. The space next to it isn’t booked today, so I have plenty of space to use. The view is also great, so it’s perfect. I did a little DIY on this micro vacanches. First, this mat. The 12V cooler’s piping runs here, and the mat hit it and didn’t fit properly. Here it is. The mat originally extended all the way to the back . I cut it here because the pipe wouldn’t fit. Previously, the mat extended a little forward. But now it fits all the way to the back. This extension mat fits in. I think I’ll be able to sleep comfortably at night. While it’s fine to have the extension mat in place, the correct way to use it is as a backrest. The 12V cooler piping runs here, so it’s hitting something. I definitely don’t think this is a good idea. I’ve put it down for now and am using it. I also need to think about something else. Also, with the 12V cooler installed, the spare tire that was under the vehicle is gone. I had the 12V cooler’s outdoor unit installed there. So, in the event of a flat tire, the spare tire won’t work. Look at the space in the back. It’s attached with Velcro. I loaded a puncture repair kit like this. This is the type that allows you to inject this repair agent into the tire in the event of a flat tire, so the vehicle can continue to run temporarily. I’ve never used this type. I kept it just in case something happens, so I’m carrying it. I hope I never have to use it. I also loaded a warning triangle and a jump starter. This is it. This is a foldable stop triangle. I put my work gloves and jump starter inside it. With this, I think I’ll be able to respond in case something happens. When I open the rear hatch, I can hear the soothing sounds of crickets and the irrigation canal. And I can see the Northern Alps. It’s a little cloudy today, but I’m looking forward to the view tomorrow morning. I’ll do some shopping at the roadside station and then take a dip in the hot spring. Surrounded by high mountains , it’s very bright and safe in the city, so I can sleep in my car safely. Hakuba has seen a huge increase in foreign tourists. I think that’s because it’s such an attractive city. Has it become more convenient for us domestic tourists? Or have prices gone up? I’m curious. It’s still open. As expected, it gets quite cool as the sun sets. Now, I’ll go and buy some groceries. I bought some local ingredients . I’ll keep them chilled in the refrigerator. There seems to be a supermarket nearby, so I’ll stop by there to buy the rest of my ingredients. This roadside station has a warning about sleeping in your car: “Please refrain from parking for long periods of time (sleeping in your car).” The parking space is small, so it will probably fill up quickly if you sleep in your car. Hakuba Village has many large supermarkets. There are about three within close proximity. I’ll do some shopping at Delicia Hakuba. It’s getting dark. I’m heading to a hot spring near my sleeping spot. Shiraha Village is convenient because it’s compactly packed with hot springs, supermarkets, and everything you need for car life. We arrived. Since it’s a minicar, we were able to park right in front of the store, as you’d expect. There’s a Lawson next door. It’s so close you can see the car camping spot. Looking towards the mountain, you can see the faint lights of the ski resort. The slopes are lit up. Even in the summer, off-season, you can really feel that this is Hakuba, a ski resort town. Now, I’m ready for the bath and ready to go. I feel refreshed. There’s an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. Each one is large, so I was able to relax in them. The water is straight from the source, so it pours directly into the bathtub. That’s why it’s so beautiful. The alkaline water leaves my skin feeling so smooth. Now, I head back to my car camping spot. It would have been fine to leave my car and walk here. It’s pitch black. It’s pretty scary. There are no streetlights, so the parking lot is pitch black. I’m glad I came here once while it was still light. It might be pretty scary if you come here for the first time at night. Now, I’m setting up my car camping spot. I did some DIY work on my curtains. Previously, I had a curtain rail attached to this front window. I moved it back a little and put it here. I wanted to close them in one go, but the previous way of attaching it resulted in a sharply curved curtain rail. It didn’t install properly. So I set it up so it closes from here like this. I think having a curtain rail all the way to the edge of this front window would provide better heat insulation. However, I changed it considering the hassle of setting it up. It’s pretty cool at night, but I think it’ll get hot when the sun rises in the morning, so I’ll put up this front shade. After doing it a few times, I’ve gotten used to it and can now get it to fit tightly. Next, I’ll install the side windows. I attached a remake sheet to a folding silver mat I made myself. Then I’ll fasten it with Velcro to prevent it from falling off. The shade is complete. I’ll put curtains over it. It’s pitch black. There’s a road next to it, so there’s a lot of traffic. I feel safe in that area. The property is really dark, so it’s scary to come here at night. When I need to use the restroom, I get out of the car and walk a little around the property. There’s a convenience store right next to it, so I want to keep them out. Now, I’ll relax in the car. A few small bugs got in when I opened the door. I’ll spray some insecticide. I found one that was almost dead right away. It’s very effective. The interior of the car is now set up. There are curtains in the rear, but since the shade is already in place, I’ll leave it as it is. This button on the curtain has a small magnet inside so it can be attached with one touch. I also use these magnetic curtain fasteners I found at 100-yen stores. I’m using them here. They attach to both sides of the double-door opening. The magnets are quite weak, so they come off easily. I think they’re a great 100-yen store item for campers. Right now, it’s quite cool outside at 20.5°C(68.90000℉), but it’s quite hot inside at 28.8°C(83.84000℉). I’d like to open the window, but this is a grassy area, so there are a lot of bugs, and I’m worried they’ll get inside. So I’m using a 12V air conditioner to lower the temperature inside. I’ll be drinking non-alcoholic beer for now. My battery is currently at 94%. This is a 200Ah lithium battery. I have another one, which is at 95%. This one is a 400Ah lithium battery. It’s a total of 600Ah, and it’s almost full. I installed a 600Ah lithium battery to extend the life of this 12V air conditioner. However, since it’s cool in Nagano Prefecture, I probably won’t need to use it that much. Hakuba Village is at an altitude of 750m. I’m changing the water. I used this one the last time I slept in my car, and it’s now empty. I bought a new 2L plastic bottle. I’ll put it here. I’ll put the old one here. I’ll attach a funnel to this bottle. I’ll use it as a drainage tank for toothpaste, etc. It tastes good after a bath. I drank three bottles of non-alcoholic beer. The refrigerator was also well-chilled, so it’s cold. Actually, I’ve been abstaining from alcohol for a long time. I broke my right hand about a year ago and had to stop drinking for surgery. I’ve been able to maintain that abstinence. Surprisingly, I’ve been able to quit. I haven’t had a drink in a year. However, the other day, an old friend came over to my house, and I had just one drink for the first time in a while. I thought I might want to drink again, but I didn’t. So I’m continuing my abstinence. In a week, I’ll have the plate that was put in when I broke my right hand removed. I have a plate in my wrist, and I’m having surgery to remove it. So I can’t drink alcohol again, so I’d like to continue abstaining for a while. Will I be able to continue this abstinence? Maybe I’ll start drinking again. I want to continue this for as long as possible. I love beer and used to drink about 10 bottles a day. Even on my slowest days, I’d drink six. Since quitting alcohol, I’ve noticed a huge amount of free time. I used to drink as soon as I finished work at night. Now that I don’t have to do that, I have a lot more free time. I was confused at first, but now I edit YouTube videos and review video analytics. My sleep quality has also improved. I no longer wake up in the middle of a video. Most importantly, I used to drink too much beer, so I thought I’d get sick someday. I’m going to continue abstaining from alcohol for a little longer so I can live a long life. Now, let’s eat dinner. Nagano Prefecture is famous for soba noodles. I also bought some Nagano nameko mushrooms. They looked delicious, so I bought some fresh soba noodles. These are before they’re boiled. Boiling soba noodles is quite a hassle when sleeping in a car. Disposing of the cooking water is especially difficult. You can also use a coagulant to solidify the noodles. You have to wait for the cooking water to cool down. It’s time-consuming and costly. I’ll ask chat GPT about it. Boiling soba noodles in the car is difficult, so please tell me some easy soba dishes you can make in a frying pan. I got the answer. Pan-fried soba noodles. Stir-fried soba noodles with toppings. Soba fried rice. Soba peperoncino. Soba pizza. All of these recipes look delicious. The easiest one is pan-fried soba noodles. I bought this duck loin for dinner tonight. I’m going to make duck soba noodles. I set up the range hood. My frying pan is small, so I’ll start by frying the ingredients. Since I’ll be grilling the meat, I’ll take extra precautions with an aluminum foil lid and the range hood. I’ll also add a giant mushroom. Remove the ingredients and boil the soba noodles. I’ll add one serving of soba noodles to 150cc of water. The chat GPT recipe uses too little water, so the noodles will harden, so I’ll add more water to prevent them from hardening. Finally, I’ll mix the ingredients and season them with noodle soup. It didn’t turn out how I had imagined, more like stewed soba noodles. It’s finished. It’s Shinshu soba fried noodles with duck and nameko mushrooms. Let’s eat. Thank you for the meal. It didn’t look good, but it tasted delicious. Next time I’ll try it with boiled soba noodles. This Shinshu soba was very delicious. It had a slightly rough texture. The soba had a strong aroma. I’m going to boil the rest and make Zaru Soba noodles to enjoy the soba’s natural flavor. As expected, boiling soba noodles in the car produces a lot of water. It’s hard to dispose of it. I’m going to try various things so I can enjoy delicious soba noodles in my car. I prepared a paperclip for just such an occasion. I also bought these seasonings. They seem to contain Hakuba garlic. They’re garlic oil and garlic salt and pepper. I’ll use these for cooking from tomorrow onwards. I ‘ll leave the trash in this trash can. I’ll brush my teeth first and then relax. The temperature outside has dropped quite a bit, to 17°C(62.60000℉). But it’s not that cool inside the car. I’ve been keeping the 12V air conditioner off for a while, but I noticed something interesting. The outside temperature is currently 17.1°C(62.78000℉). And the inside of the car is a whopping 27.6°C(81.68000℉). At first, I placed a thermometer here. I thought the heat from this light might be causing the heat, so I turned it down. But the temperature didn’t drop that much. There’s a difference of more than 10°C(50.00000℉) from the outside temperature. One possible factor is having a lot of LED lights on. They generate some heat, so when that heat gathers, the temperature rises. Another factor is your own calories. You exhale, and you generate a lot of heat. However, because light vans are made of steel, they’re thin. So, if it’s cold outside, the outside temperature should penetrate the interior and quickly drop the temperature. But it’s not dropping at all. I stuffed insulation in various places, like the roof and under the floor. And it’s working. In fact, it’s actually having the opposite effect. In summer, insulation keeps heat in, so the interior stays warm. It also blocks the outside air, so the inside stays warm even when it’s cold outside. So, opening the windows and letting in fresh air should lower the temperature considerably. However, if the windows are kept closed, the interior temperature rises significantly. Even when the outside temperature drops, the interior temperature doesn’t drop at all. That’s fine in winter, but in summer, the interior is hot. I’d like to open the windows, but even with the screen door, bugs get in. This is in a grassy area, so there are lots of small insects. So I also use a 12V air conditioner to lower the interior temperature. After that, I spend a blissful moment checking my smartphone. I unfold the bed and get ready for sleep. I love the spaciousness of the Micro Vacanches bed. Sleeping like this allows me to turn over easily. And this sofa mat feels so soft. It’s like a Showa-era lounge or a snack bar. Just lying here makes me sleepy. I change into my pajamas and sleep. The temperature inside the car is 24°C(75.20000℉), which is just right. It might get cold in the morning. Nagano Prefecture’s high-altitude towns are truly wonderful. Many people go to Hokkaido in the summer, but Nagano Prefecture is cooler, too. Hokkaido’s temperatures are definitely cooler on the plains. However, Nagano Prefecture has many high-altitude towns, so the temperature is lower and more comfortable. However, there have been many Asiatic black bear sightings this year, and they’ve caused harm to people, so I need to be careful. I ‘ve made this Micro Vacanches easy to use through some DIY projects. It’s my ideal minicar. I want to travel a lot more in the future. I want to see all kinds of scenery with this car. My other light camper, the INDY727, doesn’t have air conditioning, so I can’t sleep in it in the summer. I’ll have to wait until winter. If the INDY727 had air conditioning and a turbo engine, it would be the ultimate. In that case, the HAPPY1 city Turbo, scheduled for release this year by JP STAR, might be the closest thing to the ideal. A light, fun-to-drive camper that’s also powerful on slopes is likely to be popular. Advances in builders and lithium batteries have made campervans that were previously unrealizable possible. A self-driving campervan would be perfect. I never get bored of campervans. Sleeping in my car also helps with disaster preparedness, and I’ve found a truly wonderful hobby. I’m looking forward to traveling freely again tomorrow in this car. Good night. It’s hot. It’s 30.9°C(87.62000℉) inside the car. The outside temperature has risen to 34.8°C(94.64000℉). I woke up sweating. I immediately turned on the air conditioner. It ‘s cool and comfortable, so I’ll go back to sleep for a bit. It felt so good that I fell back asleep and it was already 10:30. The other side was the road. There wasn’t much traffic at night. This side was a field, so it was quiet and I slept well. I wore my Apple Watch to sleep last night. This is an app that shows the quality of your sleep. A red line protrudes from the top. The red lines protrude at the beginning and in the morning. This represents “wakefulness.” This is the state of being awake unconsciously. The bottom is the state of being in deep sleep. It was hot in the morning, so I woke up a lot. I was deep asleep for a while after I started sleeping. As expected, sleeping in a car in the summer is difficult once the sun rises. If you don’t wake up before sunrise, it gets very muggy and you wake up sweaty. Alternatively, turn on the air conditioner and sleep. I have the air conditioner on right now, and it’s actually charging more. It’s at 84% capacity. It’s about 30W charged. I’m currently running the refrigerator, lights, and air conditioner in the car. I have a 445W solar panel on the roof, and it seems to be generating more power. We’re enjoying free electricity. Large-capacity solar panels are extremely useful in a campervan designed for long stays. Something interesting happened. This area of the front roof is warm. Despite the insulation, heat still gets through. Meanwhile, this area is receiving cool air from the air conditioner, but it’s not hot at all. The rear isn’t hot at all, either. That’s because the solar panels end here. There are no panels here, so direct sunlight hits the roof. This shows how effective solar panels are in the summer. Installing them on the roof is effective not only for generating electricity but also for keeping out the heat. It might be a good idea to move the solar panels a little further forward to shade this area as well. Placing a board or some other luggage in the rear should solve the problem. Getting ready for the morning. The Micro Vacanches’ semi-permanent bed mode is truly outstanding. I was ready in no time. I started with an iced coffee to wake myself up. Drinking coffee with some light inside the vehicle helped me wake up. I was a little worried at first because it’s surrounded by grass. But it’s quite nice since there’s no one around. However, there were a lot of bugs. Make sure to use a screen door to protect yourself. Always turn off the lights before opening or closing the door. If you don’t protect yourself from bugs, a lot of them will get in. Yesterday, I closed the door tightly, but for some reason, a small moth was inside the car. There’s a hole somewhere in the car, and the light leaking in lets the bugs in. The 12V cooler is great. It cools this small, lightweight campervan well. It’s a little noisy, but if you turn down the airflow, it’s usable. You can operate it with just one button, no settings required. As someone who’s used portable coolers for a long time, I think this is the biggest advantage. And the Micro Vacanches’ permanent bed mode is fantastic. It’s half a bed. You can sleep in it as is, but it expands to become much larger. This layout is definitely the most user-friendly for a minivan. The bed can be easily folded up even in a small space. It’s easy to sleep and do daytime activities. Hakuba Village has tourist attractions even in the summer. It seems like you can enjoy cafes and mountain carts. There’s a very large Snow Peak a couple of minutes away by car. I’ll have a quick breakfast and then explore Hakuba Village. I have some bread. I’ll toast it in this toaster oven. I’ll use the appliances to have breakfast. I’ll also have some Hakuba ham and sausages I bought at the roadside station. They looked delicious, so I bought some. I’ll fry them in a frying pan, too. Finished. This is the Hakuba sausage breakfast set. This is ideal. It looks delicious. Let’s eat. Thank you for the meal. The sausage was delicious. Just like in the commercial, the skin popped when I bit into it and it was juicy inside. I packed up and set off. I was ready to go. Just opening the curtains let in the heat. You can see how intense the heat is from the front. I could clearly see that the curtains provided some insulation. It’s very bright. The Northern Alps are amazing. So beautiful. They stretch out before my eyes. There are a few clouds at the top, but they look beautiful. It’s great to be able to see this right after waking up in the morning. The mountain beyond the fields on the other side is low, so there’s no snow. Even in the hottest season, there’s still snow in the Northern Alps. It’s about 2,900 meters above sea level, so I think the temperature is different from the lowlands. It’s interesting. Look at that mountain over there. The leaves are turning red. The trees are red. Is it starting to feel like autumn? The temperature is currently around 30°C(86.00000℉). It’s cool in the shade. You’ll need long sleeves when you go up the mountain. I’ll try that later. Now, let’s remove the shade and head out. It’s very difficult to fold. I spent all of yesterday watching YouTube and learning. First, fold it in half. Then, hold the top with your right hand. Hold the middle with your left hand. Flip your left hand. Place your right and left hands together. Then, fold them into a small ball. It looks simple, but it’s actually quite difficult. It takes some getting used to, so it’s quite hard to do well . But once you get the hang of it, you can fold it up in an instant. I highly recommend this shade for people who plan to sleep in their cars . Today’s hotel bill was 1,500 yen. It ‘s cheap. There was a nice park nearby. It even has a restroom. It seems like a good spot for sleeping in your car. I’ll keep it in mind for the future. Today is a perfect day for a drive. It’s hot, but the sun isn’t too harsh. This area is different from flat ground. We arrived at the park in about three minutes. This is the Hakuba Olympic Bridge parking lot. There’s a public restroom. However, it’s a bit old-fashioned. I wonder if the lights will be on at night. It would be quite scary if they weren’t. The parking lot can accommodate about 30 cars. “Please refrain from fireworks camping at this location, Hakuba Village.” Sleeping in your car here is at your own risk. There is one streetlight, but it probably goes out around 9 p.m. This might not be for the easily scared. If you’re not prone to wandering around at night, it might be perfect for those who aren’t easily scared, as there are toilets available. However, you do so at your own risk. Hakuba Village offers amazing views of the Northern Alps and ski resorts from anywhere. I’m sure many people are drawn to this view and move here. Snow Peak is nearby, so we’ll stop by there before continuing up the mountain. It’s quite large. There’s also a Starbucks. There’s even a hot spring right next door. Now, off to enjoy ourselves. It’s always fun to see camping gear in person. Many of the camping gear items seem like they could be used for car camping. The ski resort is about a seven-minute drive from here. It seems you can take a gondola to the top of the mountain. It seems you can also ride mountain carts, so I’ll give it a go. We arrived. Even though it’s summer, there are quite a few cars parked in the ski resort parking lot. There’s also an athletic facility within sight. It looks interesting. That’s the gondola. Let’s head up. Near the top, there’s a horse riding corner, a cafe, and dining options. There are also mountain bikes and mountain carts. I’d like to try one. We’re up. There are a lot of couples and families around. I’m used to taking photos alone, so I enjoyed it without any problems. This is it. The leaves were turning red from below. Even in midsummer, the leaves are turning red. It’s cool. The temperature difference is about 5 degrees Celsius. There are lots of interesting activities. Some people go down the mountain on mountain bikes. This is a place to rest in the shade. There are lots of tarps. It’s called the “Yaho Deck.” Is it okay to shout? There are so many people, so I’ll refrain from doing so today. The high temperature here today is 24 degrees Celsius. By the way, the high temperature in Osaka today is 35 degrees Celsius. It’s a 10 degree difference. There was a mountain cart. I don’t think I could take photos there. It descends surprisingly slowly like this. I’ll ride it later to the bottom. The mountain cart was a lot of fun. I had to check all my luggage, so I couldn’t take photos. The vibrations were transmitted directly to the handlebars, which was interesting. I wondered if I could go back to the bottom of this gondola. However, I only made it halfway down. I was told it would take about two hours to walk from there. I was able to go back up by lift from there. We went up on the lift and came down on the gondola. I’d like to eat lunch in the car, but there’s one more place I want to go. Afterwards, we’ll use the cooler in the car to eat lunch. This is it. We arrived soon. This is the ski jump. The Nagano Olympics were held here a long time ago. This is Harada’s big jump. Funaki’s flight is the most beautiful in the world. He won the gold medal with this jump. I wish I could have seen it up close. I wonder what’s now happening to that ski jumping resort that once had the whole of Japan going wild? This is the normal hill. This is the large hill. The highest point is 140m. Okabe is amazing. This is the large hill. That’s where Harada made his big jump and embraced Funaki. The image is completely different without the snow. It’s an incredibly steep slope. It’s level now. I didn’t realize it was so steep. It’s amazing how people can build such a wonderful facility for human sports. It looks like highway technology was used here. Did he ride this lift to the jump and win the gold medal? It’s quite moving. Apparently , you can reach the starting gate for the large hill from here, so I head there. These stairs allow you to see through to the bottom. It’s scary. We’ve arrived. It’s incredibly high. The panoramic view of Hakuba is beautiful. These transparent stairs are the scariest part. This side is the normal hill. It’s extraordinary to be able to jump from this height. It really brought home to me just how incredible a sport this is. Olympic medals were on display. I’m glad I came. It’s much cooler here. Japan is hot throughout the country in midsummer. Nagano Prefecture, however, is ideal for car life. Japan used to be cool, even in the summer. It was cool in the evening. Even in Hakuba Village, where prices are soaring, there are still shops selling reasonably priced seafood bento lunches. They seem to be open. I’ll buy some. I got permission to take photos of the menu, so I did. This bowl is only 660 yen! They have a whitebait bowl and a tuna and squid bowl. So many different options for 660 yen. It’s really cheap. They also have shrimp and roast beef. That’s 660 yen. They even have high-quality sea urchin. It’s a little more expensive, but it’s 1500 yen. It’s amazing. The restaurant is called “Donmaru.” If you’re in Hakuba Village, be sure to stop by. I came to a nearby free parking lot. There’s no one there. It’s in the perfect shade, so I’ll eat my bento here. It’s pretty cool here. I think I’ll be able to get by if I just let out the heat from my car. I’ll eat with the back door open. There’s no one there, so it’s fine. If someone comes, I’ll close the door right away. It ‘s amazing. I’m glad I came to Hakuba Village. All of this was 1500 yen. It looks delicious. It came with soy sauce and soup. I saw a bento like this, with sea urchin and salmon roe, in Hokkaido. It was over 5000 yen. Prices in Hakuba Village are rising due to the increasing number of foreign visitors, but I hope they continue to do well. I definitely want to come again. I also enjoyed Shinshu soba tea. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious. That person walks around wearing a bear bell. Living in my car in Hakuba Village this time, I realized something. There are many baths. And a supermarket. Sightseeing is within a 10-minute drive. Because it’s cool, sleeping in your car in the summer is easier than in Hokkaido. I was able to experience what summer used to be like in Japan. Nowadays, the heat is so intense that it’s dangerous to even play outside. In Hakuba Village, you can experience summer by walking around town and doing various activities. In winter, it’s crowded with people skiing. In summer, it was just the right amount of crowded. Since I didn’t use much electricity in my light camper, I was able to significantly reduce battery consumption. I left the refrigerator on 24/7 and the lights on most of the time. I only turned on the 12V air conditioner occasionally. So, I have more electricity left than when I first arrived. The 200Ah battery is at 99% capacity. And the 400Ah battery #1 is at 95% capacity. The battery power increased without any charging while driving, just from the solar panel. There are plenty of places to sleep in your car if you look around. There was an RV park near the newly opened car stay where I stayed this time. However, the roadside station had a sign prohibiting car camping, so it might be best to avoid sleeping in your car there. It’s always safer to have a paid parking lot in situations like this . There’s also a campground nearby. There were also many free parking lots like this. There’s a park, but it seemed more geared toward advanced car campers. It gets pitch black at night and can be quite scary. The security situation is unclear, so it’s probably best to stay away if you’re not familiar with the area. There are also bears around here. There are bears on this side too. This side is also surrounded by mountains. It’s best to think of it as being surrounded by bears. It feels like the town is nestled in a bear’s den. Be careful when walking alone at night or taking a morning stroll. It’s a good idea to bring a bear bell or bear spray just in case. However, Hakuba Village is firmly committed to coexisting with bears, and has taken sufficient precautions. However, it’s definitely better to be aware of such dangerous places. I also found a new RV park. It’s a place I hadn’t heard of. It’s called Kurashitano Yu. There’s an RV park next to it. Is this the one? It’s a five-minute drive, so if I can make a reservation, I’ll take a bath there and sleep in my car today.

  1. 三角の表示板は軽キャンには大きくて邪魔ですよね。
    エーモンなどから出てる、停止表示灯にされてはどうでしょう。
    わたしはバイク用に購入しましたが、クルマにも使えるようです。

  2. Saluti dall'Italia!!!

  10. Thanks for keeping the Japanese language option. Even though I don’t speak a word I’d rather hear you in your native tongue. If only I could pick it up 😂!

  18. Great video as always. The air conditioning should start beyond a given temperature, and stay completely off otherwise. Isn't that possible?
