【スクーターツーリング】風薫る海と神社【フォルツァ】

Good morning. Thank you for watching today. Today is July 14th. Monday. It’s currently 6:25 AM. Because it’s a weekday, there’s already heavy traffic even at this time of day. Today I’m heading to Gamagori. This shrine is located on an island called Takeshima in Gamagori. The shrine is located on a small island. You can get to the island by crossing a bridge. It’s a place I’ve always been curious about. I figured it would be crowded on Sundays, I thought I’d be able to relax a little more on a weekday, and since the weather was nice today, I came. This is what happens on weekdays. On Sundays, I can get through Nagoya city easily. Nagoya city, or rather, the downtown area. On weekdays, I get stuck in this morning commuter traffic. My destination will probably be clear, though. It takes an hour and a half. But even then, it’ll still be past 8 o’clock. Well, if I get there and relax, it’ll be 9 o’clock by then. There’s free parking for motorcycles, but it might not be able to accommodate that many. So I parked there and walked a bit. It’s too hot to stop. The sun is shining. Slowly. My body is burning. Today, I’m wearing just a long-sleeved cooling shirt underneath the full mesh. I think I’ll put on a short-sleeved T-shirt over it when I get there. I took off my jacket, and put on my active wear. This is what I wear when riding my bike in the summer. This full mesh jacket over a cooling shirt. And underneath, My new BMC air-cooled jeans. This is perfect for summer. It seems like they’ve released some kind of air-cooled gloves. I’m curious though. I don’t plan on buying new ones, though, since I can still use these mesh gloves. You have to buy gloves that fit your hands well. After riding all day, If I don’t use gloves that fit properly, my hands get sore. It feels good when it flows. It’s 30°C. The breeze coming in through the full mesh feels great. It feels great. It’s a bypass, though. The green of the fields is so pleasant. Mountains in the distance. And the wide open sky. Still in Anjo. The green of the rice fields. They’re shining. It feels so good today. Just driving through places like this. Even just a bypass feels so good today. This weather and the wind… It feels so good. It’s a little hot, but the wind is strong. It cools my body nicely, or rather, the wind is blowing on me. It feels so good. We’ll be getting off soon. I wonder if we’ll get to the newly opened section? So the newly opened section starts from here. I got off before that. Oh no! I thought we’d be on the newly opened section, but that’s not the case. This is on the left. Oh no! I thought we’d be on the newly opened section, but I was wrong. It’s still going straight. This lane looks fine. Takeshima Aquarium, huh? Welcome to Takeshima Park. Almost there. I thought we’d get there a little earlier. We’re on time. There it is. It says “Bicycles & Motorcycles.” This is it. Motorcycle parking lot. Okay, let’s park here. You can see Takeshima over there. Welcome to Gamagori. Takeshima (Natural Monument). Takeshima has long been considered a sacred place, and no new trees or other plants have been introduced for centuries, preserving its native vegetation. Yaotomi Shrine. This is the shrine we’re heading to. It’s called Yaotomi Shrine. Fujiwara no Toshinari. I can smell the ocean. This is what it looks like from here. Surrounded by trees. It feels like a protected shrine. It looks open somehow. It looks like this. Cape Ryujin. The breeze feels nice. We can go further down. Let’s go down. There are carp worms, there are carp worms. It’s a weekday, so it’s quiet. It feels good. Oh, a fish jumped. The boardwalk. Where does it lead? I wonder if I can go around in a circle and come back? Shall we go? Wow, carp worms. Carp crickets are gross. It doesn’t end here, right? I can go. That sounds good. Takeshima and Yaotomi Shrine After that, we went to Takeshima Aquarium. The breeze at the shrine was nice. Even when crossing that bridge. The sea breeze. Well, it was a weekday, so it was pretty empty. What about those goshuin stamps? That’s the place that sells amulets. It seems like those places only open at 9 AM. It seemed like you could still pray even if it wasn’t open if you came early. After that, we went to Takeshima Aquarium. There was a sea lion. When I approached, I—well, there were other people there, too— When people approached, they suddenly started moving, perhaps because they were happy. They swam in the water and came onto land. I guess they were trying to show how happy they were. They looked like they were having a great time. Also, the otters were having a bit of fun. Clacking, clacking, clacking. Asian small-clawed otters. It’s going to get hot soon, so I think I’ll head straight home. Thank you for watching today. I hope good things come to you all. Thank you very much.
