コロラド州ブリッケンリッジの山の魅力を探る
today I’m going to take you on a walk through the town of Breenidge Colorado if you’re not familiar Breck is home to my favorite ski resort and is loaded with really cool shops restaurants and breweries towards the end of the video I’m going to take you on a quick walkthrough of the Barney Ford Museum which is a five room house built in 1882 also I’m going to show you where the free parking lot is located so I wanted to quickly give you an overview of the size of this town on this day I walked from the Breck Connect Gondola i went up towards the Breen Ridge Brewery and Pub and then back down the other side of the street it was 2.4 miles took me about an hour and 15 minutes very very manageable and fun town to walk through for sure so if you’re planning to visit Breen Ridge and would like some affordable hotel rooms I would recommend checking out the town of Silverthornne which is just about 20 minutes to the north also if you’re planning on doing any skiing I recorded two skiing videos of Breen Ridge this year both of them turned out really good so I’ll put links to those in the description of this video for you also I wanted to quickly read a quick description of Breen Ridge that came from Chat GPT i thought it was pretty spot-on breenidge Colorado is a charming mountain town nestled in the heart of the Rockies known for its worldclass ski resort it’s a year-round playground for outdoor lovers in the winter Breck draws snow enthusiasts with its powdery slopes terrain parks and cozy oprey ski spots come summer it transforms into a hub for hiking biking and festivals the town itself has a cool mix of historic mining era buildings and modern mountain vibes main Street is lined with shops restaurants breweries and art galleries all set against stunning alpine views at around 9600 ft elevation it’s high up so visitors definitely feel that mountain air it’s also super familyfriendly with parks museums and fun events throughout the year whether you’re chasing powder or sunshine Breenidge blends adventure and laid-back charm in one scenic spot all right let’s see if I can narrate the rest of this video for you so what we have here is the welcome center and Blue River Plaza i didn’t go inside the welcome center but maybe one of these days i had a nice sunny day which always makes my videos so much better they have a lot of these retail centers that look like this they’re kind of like little mini malls and most of them have really really great stores inside i walked through a few of them and actually ended up buying some gifts for my parents back in Michigan i got to tell you a funny story so I’m a huge fan of the movie Dumb and Dumber and um it takes place in Aspen Colorado so the first time I went to Aspen oh I want to visit this smokehouse right here whiskey Star smokehouse i love barbecue and meat and all of that kind of stuff oh this is a cool spot too shirt and Ernie i just happened to stumble upon it there’s a little mall inside with uh some pretty neat stores anyway Dumb and Dumber so it takes place in Aspen Colorado so the first time I visited Aspen I was like so excited to check out the place where this movie was filmed well what I didn’t know was that it wasn’t filmed in Aspen it was filmed in different cities and I thought that I heard recently that it was actually filmed in Breenidge um so I was really cool or I was really excited to narrate and tell you that this was where Dumb and Dumber was filmed but what I found out was that the only part that was filmed here was a segment filmed at Copper Mountain Ski Resort which is nearby and it was the part where Harry gets his tongue stuck to the pole so twice I’ve been disappointed by visiting uh these towns but regardless this is an amazing place to visit i definitely highly recommend it for sure okay coming up is what’s called Main Street Station and I’m not an expert on Breen Ridge by any means but I think that this place was built about 5 years ago it seems to be shops and restaurants and maybe even some lodging there was a little food truck at the end of this walkway here and there’s even a little body of water um I’m not sure what that’s all about it didn’t appear to be any ice skating or anything like that going on but there is a really good view of the ski resort from the end of this sidewalk here so on the map this is where the main street station is located in case you were curious there’s that little body of water I was talking about yeah so I think they were serving crepes in that food truck right there and then down beyond this water is the Breen Ridge Ski Resort pretty good view so now I am on the other side of the road coming back towards the gondola pretty neat little sculpture right here i’m not quite sure what that’s all about all right and then through here are a ton of restaurants and shops i did grab dinner through here at one point trying to remember the name of the place it was a really good burger joint i’m sure you can’t go wrong typically I like to check out the Google reviews if I’m unsure of a place pizza beer yeah so there’s all these little nooks and crannies this is just uh this little retail shop has so much character and you almost need you know a long weekend to have enough time to visit all of these places and a fat lot of cash as well i always feel so awkward walking through the streets carrying my GoPro especially when there are people walking towards me uh but then when I get home and a few days later I produce the video I’m always so thankful that I’ve got memories of my visit another cool spot through here i think there was wine tasting back at the end of this sidewalk here if my parents were here with me we’d definitely be visiting the wine shop little beef jerky spot there’s a quite a few beef jerky spots um through these towns I’ve been noticing anyway upcoming here is the Barney Ford Museum one of my favorite things about traveling and exploring is stumbling upon hidden gems that most people would never tell you about the Barney Ford Museum is definitely one of those hidden gems they’re open Tuesday through Sunday 11:00 a.m until 400 p.m admission is free but they do suggest a $5 donation if I remember correctly they offer tours every hour on the hour enslaved for the first 26 years of his life Barney Ford fought through racism fires and financial hardship to become one of Colorado’s leading businessmen and civil rights pioneers this restored museum honors the remarkable life and legacy of Barney Ford this five- room house was built by Barney Ford in 1882 i really love visiting old houses like that if you’re interested I made a video of a museum in Frisco Colorado just a few weeks ago that was full of I think there were 10 restored buildings frisco Historic Museum I believe it’s called i played a little game of chicken with this lady here she was walking towards me and we weren’t sure who was going to go right and who was going to go left if you’re into making videos um I learned kind of the hard way that it’s almost not worth recording videos on cloudy days because the video tends to turn out so blah i’ve actually made some skiing videos on cloudy days and then I got home to record or to produce the video and it’s always so disappointing there’s really no way to brighten it up this is a little beef jerky cart that I wanted to get video of and I think this is the courthouse right here with a view of the ski resort down at the end this I believe is a steakhouse it says restaurant and saloon if you’re interested i’m using my GoPro 11 to record this video it does such a good job with stabilization and it’s got a pretty wide field of view so you can capture a lot in the lens see here’s another one of those little retail centers they’re so uh got so much character to them all right so here is where the free parking lot is at up at the top of the screen and it’s actually the shuttle runs every 10 or 15 minutes it brings you down to the Bre Connect Gondelola which is just uh 1.7 miles so you could actually walk it if you uh were in the mood this is the free parking lot right here there is lots of parking and the buses look a little something like this this is where they drop you off at right in town and uh right behind it there is the gondola i’ll show you a little closeup there’s the gondola that will take you up to the ski resort uh it doesn’t cost anything you can just jump on and um 5 minutes later you’re at Breen Ridge Ski Resort this is a cute little bird that wanted to chat with me for a bit anyway that’s all I’ve got for you today thanks for watching the Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show please subscribe to my YouTube channel we’ll see you next time [Applause] [Music] [Music] heat hey ABOUT ME:
► I grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and graduated with a Marketing degree from Oakland University.
► I moved to Longmont, CO in November 2016 and fell in love with all the beautiful hiking trails that Colorado has to offer. So, in April 2012, the Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show was born.
► In November 2019, I took a 4-month camping trip in my pop-up camper. This gave me an opportunity to travel, explore, unwind, and create lots of great videos.
► In December 2020, I began recording a series of downhill skiing videos in Colorado. These quickly became popular and my passion for YouTube was re-ignited!
► I actually had so many great memories of my first camping trip that I decided to do another one. So, in April 2021, I converted a 12-foot enclosed trailer into a camper and documented the whole process.
► In June 2021, I reached 1,000 subscribers and was able to monetize my channel.
► By January 2023, I was already at 2,000 subscribers and counting!
► The Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show allows me to share all of my experiences with you. Join me on my adventure as I talk about life, laughter, exploration, and creating content for YouTube…enjoy!

Here's my most recent Breckenridge skiing video…

Great video man.
I love Colorado, hey do you use a gimbal with the GoPro? if so what kind? I'm starting off with my iPhone and a gimbal… after I learn how to talk to camera I'm thinking about a GoPro. Thoughts?
Dude they definitely did film Dumb and Dumber in Breckenridge! The street scenes where they’re walking on the sidewalk is 100% Main Street Breckenridge! So no need to be disappointed 😂
Why ChatGPT though?
I love Breckenridge! Great tour!
You've sold me on going ❤
