[ 京都旅行 ] 暑い日も心地よく。秋に訪れたい旧邸宅と町家カフェ|心満たされる静かで美しい場所|50代の旅

Hello ☺︎ It’s still hot out, but it’s time to start making plans for autumn. This time, I’ve combined a half-day visit before going home and a trip I took with a friend in Kyoto. I hope it will be helpful for your autumn travels. On this hot day, I went to the Mitarashi Festival, a Kyoto summer tradition. The water at Mitarai Pond was colder than I expected and refreshing. I lit a candle and prayed for good health . After wiping my feet and putting on my shoes, I drank the holy water and purified my whole body from the inside out. There were paper cups available, but I received it in a container with the chrysanthemum crest. For my son, I wrote his name and age on the back of the footprint prayer stick and floated it in the water in front of Mitarai Shrine to pray . It’s convenient to have both hands free when you’re out and about. My travel companion on this trip was the Gaston Luga Spläsh Utility Backpack 16″ Gaston Luga has a minimalist and functional design. I love that it’s environmentally friendly and doesn’t use animal-derived materials. It has pockets for a laptop and other small items, making it convenient for working on the go. The deep pockets on both sides are large enough to fit a water bottle or a folding umbrella. There’s also a pocket on the back for a laptop. It’s waterproof, so it’s perfect for sudden rain. The breathable cushion provides back support. The discreet tag is cute . It can be used by people of all ages and genders, so it’s great for sharing with the whole family. In the “Kamakura Edition” I introduced a smaller bag, but Gaston Luga has a variety of other bags, so be sure to check them out. It can also be attached to a carry-on suitcase, making it perfect for travel. There’s a 15% off coupon available exclusively on the official online store. It’s listed in the description, so please take advantage. After the Shimogamo Shrine Mitarashi Festival, I moved from Demachiyanagi Station on the Keihan Line to Gion-Shijo Station. Fragrance brand LE LABO The shop, which was renovated from a traditional townhouse, now has a cafe attached (take-out). The beautiful green maples of Eikando Temple, which are usually bustling during the autumn foliage season, are beautiful, but the crowds are sparse and it’s very quiet. You can also take your time to enjoy the Garyu-ro Corridor. The beautiful staircase was made using the traditional Japanese technique of kumiki, without using a single nail. I recommend visiting during the autumn foliage season. I had lunch at a mansion with a double dragon garden, located in front of the Sanmon Gate of Nanzenji Temple, sandwiched between the sub-temples “Jijiin” and “Mokugoan.” I ordered a relatively reasonable udon noodle dish with a rich broth. You can enjoy the garden from any seat. I moved to Marutamachi Station. There were three groups waiting, so I went to the gallery on the second and third floors before I waited. The atmosphere was simple and casual. Perhaps because there are many foreign visitors, the atmosphere is more friendly than before. The atmosphere is relaxing and you can enjoy tea without any stress. I also bought some lovely antique-style glassware at the gallery. I returned to the hotel, which I stayed at last year. It’s conveniently located, just a five-minute walk from Shijo Karasuma Station , and incredibly affordable! The rooms aren’t particularly spacious, but they do have bathtubs. The staff are calm and attentive. I always struggle with dinner alone, so this time I mustered up the courage to try a solo izakaya. This is the second branch of the popular vegetable bar that opened in the spring. It’s early, so I’m alone… but when I dropped in, it was already full. The very kind staff tried to find a seat for me, but reservations seem to be required. It’s understandable why, as the food is delicious and the staff are attentive and energetic. Editing this makes me want to go back again. Next time, I’d like to make a reservation and enjoy a relaxing meal on the second floor… On the way back to the hotel from en, I came across a townhouse cafe that is open from 9:00 to 22:00 (last order 21:30). It has a natural and calm atmosphere, perfect for a night cafe! Although it’s not visible at night, there is a garden , so you can enjoy a different atmosphere in the morning or afternoon. The pudding is also delicious! I think I’ll be able to sleep soundly, basking in the delicious afterglow of dinner and the night cafe☺︎ Day 2 Good morning. I’m going for a walk and going to get some coffee. It’s 7:30am and it’s quiet. On my work day, I’m already on the crowded commuter train💦 A coffee stand renovated from a storehouse at the back of a coin parking lot . I was happy that it opened at 7:30am , there was no one there, so I sat down and relaxed☕️ (It was my first time sitting down) It was a luxurious morning . After my morning coffee, I went to OUI. for breakfast. This bakery cafe upcycles malt lees, which are produced when craft beer is brewed. Malt lees are high in dietary fiber and protein, and are low in calories, making it a great place for breakfast. Since I had coffee earlier, I decided to have tea. It was a cute bakery renovated from a traditional Japanese townhouse. This trip was a two-person trip with a friend . I had arrived in Kyoto the day before. We met up in Kyoto and took the Eizan Railway to Yase, a quiet area rich in nature. We walked along the Yase Maple Path and headed for Rurikoin Temple. I had always wanted to see the reflections of Rurikoin Temple. No reservations are required for the spring and summer special viewings (from July 1st to August 17th) and the autumn viewings from October 1st. Reservations are based on a lottery system, so please check the website. Perhaps due to the weather and the time of day, the greenery didn’t come out as vibrant in the video, but it was burned into my memory. The sweets we enjoyed with our matcha were the refreshing “Yase Himuro.” This is probably the perfect time of year to relax and enjoy the beautiful greenery. I’d love to visit again someday during the autumn foliage season… We chatted as we walked to our next destination. The natural beauty of the area was plentiful, and we arrived at our destination . It was about a 15-minute walk from Ruriko-in Temple. The moss was beautiful and fluffy! Sitting facing the garden, I was amazed by the beautiful picture-frame garden. There were hardly any people around, and it was so quiet . It was so calming , I lost track of time, and I just stared at it for ages. This is a hidden gem of a beautiful temple. I wanted to stay at Renge-ji Temple longer, but I had another appointment, so I took the Eizan Railway back. I didn’t manage to get the stamp properly, but it was a nice souvenir. I got off at Demachiyanagi Station and just made it in time for the last order (4:00 PM). ) The former Mitsui family Shimogamo Villa, designated an Important Cultural Property, is usually closed to the public. There are also attractive plans, such as breakfast and lunch with a tour of the 3rd floor watchtower, so be sure to check them out! After enjoying the cool evening air at the “Kamogawa Triangle Delta,” where the Takano River and Kamo River meet , we returned to the hotel. This morning, we checked out of Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto Nagatei and moved to this hotel diagonally across the street. My friend stayed in the room next door, a quiet room perfect for a solo rest. The pajamas were separate top and bottom , and there was a unit bath, but the location was great, so we were happy with that. After relaxing in our rooms, we headed to our reserved dinner, a restaurant serving traditional Japanese dishes and sake down a narrow alley. It was nice to be able to share both food and drinks as a couple. It was delicious! It was a great way to enjoy a different experience than traveling alone . It was a wonderful day. Good night! Day 3: For breakfast, we went to a popular bakery near the hotel, which we’d visited last time. Free entry is available from 8:00 to 10:00, so we lined up around 7:30 and were able to get in without any problems. From 10:00 to Only those with numbered tickets can enter. Online registration starts at 9:30. Please be careful, as you won’t be able to enter the store if you just happen to pop in.For more details, please check Instagram.Mmm , it looks delicious! I wanted to eat some fruit. The Kyoto store, renovated from a traditional Japanese townhouse, has a calm, mature atmosphere and is one of my favorites. After checking out, I went to visit the nearby Yatakean. The admission fee includes a contribution to the preservation and inheritance of cultural properties. This is my fourth time visiting this Taisho-era Japanese-Western style townhouse, which also serves as the KYOTOGRAPHIE exhibition venue. This was my first time visiting during a normal event, so I was able to take my time looking at the Japanese-Western style townhouse (admission includes tea).I then went to Ryosokuin, a subtemple of Kenninji Temple, where you can make your own special amulet. You can choose your favorite amulet bag, which are all cute! I wrote one wish on the wishing paper. Don’t be greedy (lol). I wrap up the blessed wooden plaque and incense, and keep what I wrote a secret. I carefully store it in a charm bag. The more I look at it, the more important it seems to be . I pray to Bishamonten to make my wish come true. It was a special experience of about 20-30 minutes. I walked from Ryosokuin to lunch. The restaurant is a 100-year-old Japanese house on a 6,600m2 site, the former residence of Japanese painter Takeuchi Seiho. The tables are spaced far apart, and the lighting is wonderful. It’s delicious – really, really delicious! A wonderful space, delicious food, and a perfect way to end my trip. This time on my trip to Kyoto, I didn’t get too greedy, but instead focused on quiet places, beautiful places, and a little bit of delicious food… I hope this article will be of some help to you as you head into the autumn travel season.
