ISSO NÃO FOI PROGRAMADO. Terminamos o dia de forma inusitada [TÉNÉRÉ 600 – 1988] – S12/EP9
You’re going to mix two oils? One mineral and one… Burned something. Huh? Burned something… Hey guys, Thiago speaking, starting another video for the channel, live here from Taguatinga, in the state of Tocantins. We’re here, tidying up. A messy traveler’s room, Le Cappel fixing his beard. And look, breakfast right outside the door. And the hot breath already, huh? So, guys, what’s the objective of the day? Today we were going to make a long trip, to the city of Bom Jesus, in Piauí. But my motorcycle is experiencing excessive oil consumption. It’s dropping significantly. We’ve been checking the oil level daily, and in approximately 2,000 km, we’ve already added about 900 ml of oil. Le Cappel, explain. Why is my motorcycle’s oil level dropping? What we’ve noticed is that we’re experiencing oil leaks, or loss, from the balancer seal. The rocker arm seal is very close to the oil outlet, which stops it from going to the gearbox and near the engine breather. So, the engine breather is where the engine releases internal pressure, which is this point. There’s a hose connected there that carries oil vapor to the air box. When the rocker arm seal bursts, liquid oil can rise up to the air box, and then we have an oil buildup, a puddle of oil inside the air box. This has an inspection hose, which is the hose we mentioned there, which we inspect in case of oil leaking. It probably has a small puddle inside, indicating this. And so we’re losing oil for this reason. We have a burst rocker arm seal; I’d say it’s yours. So why don’t we replace this seal? Ah, the reason is simple to understand. To replace this rocker arm seal, the engine has to be completely opened, then the gearbox has to be removed, which is the last thing we remove, along with a bearing from the left crankcase. Behind this left crankcase bearing is the rocker arm seal. So, of the last things to remove, the rocker arm seal is the last thing. To make this change, to go on a trip, without replacing one of these parts, we would have to open the entire engine and overhaul it. When we open the engine, it’s never just one thing. Overhaul all the components and reassemble. And I’d say it’s not just yours, it’s mine too. So we took a risk, using some mechanisms to get around this situation and make the trip. But we have… and I’m going to use a jargon here that’s well-known to those who own a Teneré, but we have to take care of the oil. That’s it. That’s why we’re having to top up the oil; our oil loss is linked to this. And now we’re going… And now we’re going to get some oil from some store around here. Today is still a holiday, a Monday, and if we find any, we’ll take some oil and… we’ll also try another alternative, which is to put a flame arrestor from the Palio, to see if it prevents excess oil from rising into the air box. Well, we found the oil here, a Mobil 2050, and look at this wall here, beautiful thing. Yesterday, on the road, we drove for over 10 km with this wall around us. Was it very low? I think about 200 ml will go in. Oh, so it’s not enough. Not enough. 250 ml, I think. That’s fine. The cap is tighter. It’s better to put it in. Here it’s stronger. But are you going to mix two oils, one mineral and one semi-synthetic? Yeah… Then I’ll mix it, but we’ll keep it a secret, just between us. It’s Teneré’s secret formula. Keep it a secret just between us, you won’t tell anyone, okay? Start the thing here. Something burned out. Huh? Something burned out. I started the bike… even the TPMS shut off, I turned on the light, the neutral light went out, and the TPMS went out. Turn signal, no light. Did you smell anything burning? No. It could be the battery terminal, which got isolated. What did it do? It got isolated, the battery terminal. I looked, everything was fine. But if the battery is dead. Turn it off. Hey, it turned back on. I turned on the GP… I turned off the GPS and it turned on. Want to see? Headlights on. Let’s see, the time… not now, it doesn’t have to be now… I think there was a bad connection, that button there. That button? Yeah, see, it’s not… Then it turned on. Leaving Taguatinga, with 3317, motorcycle dashboard. 3317, you have to refuel, right? You have to refuel. Bye. “Wow,” it’s hot. 9:30 a.m., starting another video, another day here, in the state of Tocantins. Soon we’ll enter the state of Bahia, praying for God’s protection, so we can overcome the day’s challenges, enjoy the trip, and record some cool content for you. Today is a holiday Monday. We’ll head towards Bom Jesus, in Piauí. It’s 638 km, but I don’t know if we’ll be able to cover that distance today. But we’ll continue on our way. Thanks to the channel’s supporters, Trunks Alltracks, BNP Insurance, Vital Card Travel Insurance, Spot Brasil, satellite tracker , and Wolf Attack, tactical products that help me on my travels, such as the thermos, bags, fanny pack, pocket knife, etc. I have discount coupons for several of them, and you can find them here in the description. Good morning. A beautiful wall right here. We’ve already topped up my motorcycle’s oil. What’s the idea? The Teneré’s oil needs to be changed every 3,000 km. Arriving in Bom Jesus, we’ll reach that mileage, we’ll change the oils, and our idea—this is new information I haven’t mentioned yet— is to go into the Viana Canyons, in Teneré. That magnificent place, which I’ve been to once, and we’ll try to return. Gas, 6.54 per liter. Motorcycle fueled, we’re on our way. And another state will be left behind, Tocantins, and we’ll now enter Bahia, next to this beautiful, enormous plantation here. Of course, we’ll have to take a photo—Welcome to Bahia. Let’s see what this side looks like, if it says “border.” No, that’s a joke, why not just put the Tocantins-Bahia border, then it just says “welcome to Bahia”? Tocantins was the same. I’ll take the photos here, and then you can check them out on Instagram, @thinoronha and LeCappel. Photo taken, we move on. “Aoh” Bahia, here we are. We’re arriving here in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in the state of Bahia. Now we’ll look for a place that sells car parts. We need a Palio flame arrestor and… oil, preferably Motul, which is hard to find. We ask the guy here, and he kindly takes us to the front of the store, which probably has oil. If you want to go back, take the BR back, you’re right there on the avenue. You just have to go back to the avenue and get off on the BR again. Oh, great, thanks. Good luck, boss. Amen, thanks. Guys, we stopped at a garage here. The guy seems to watch my videos, right, Fernando? Yeah. So what are we going to do now? Look for a Palio flame arrestor. He’ll see if he can find an open auto parts store. And what’s the name of your garage here? Speed Premium Len, Speed Motopeças Em? Luiz Eduardo Magalhães. Look, the garage is all set up. The Tenerés will stay here. We’ll go see if we can find that part at an auto parts store, see if it’s open. And look at the machinist, he’s already admiring it. Practical assembly test, canvas hose on the Palio flame arrestor. Guys, look where the search for oil has brought us. I’m here with Fernando and Janaína. He was talking until just now, but he just turned on the camera, and it froze. And they prepared a sensational lunch for us here, with Pequi… from Goiás, from Goiás. Everyone, thank you for this welcome, this is something that is indescribable in our world, in motorcycling, and thanks, this visit here to… Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in Bahia, will be remembered . So, everyone, we’re leaving Luís Eduardo Magalhães. Fernando helped us get the oil. He actually has Gulf oil instead of Motul. Turn on the tap. Now, let’s head to… the idea is to get to Formosa, because Bom Jesus is already far away. Let’s go. So, in short, what did we get? We got the oils for the change in Bom Jesus, which will complete the 3,000 km. We got the flame retardant from the Palio to try to minimize the leak from the seal, and we got some more resistant hoses to replace the transparent ones on the motorcycles. The people here are very welcoming, from this city, especially from the motorcycle world. This is the gas station where we stopped, we met a channel follower, and we’re already on the road. It’s 2:00 p.m. Let’s see if we can ride at least 250 km. Fernando said, “Thank you.” Amen. We’re already approaching a town called Barreiras. Today is very busy, as it’s the return from the holiday, but we’re driving against the flow of traffic, so we have to be very careful . There’s a lot of overtaking, and sometimes we have to pull over to the shoulder. We’re coming here at 80-90 km/h. R$6.49. We arrived here in Barreiras. It’s incredibly hot. Filling up the tank here at Tina’s. So now, we’re leaving Barreiras with a full tank. The idea is to get to Formoso do Rio Preto, 150 km from here. It’s now 3:20 pm. Let’s see if we can still take a dip in the river to end the day on a high note. And another beautiful end to the day here, it’s 5:10 pm. Arriving here in Formosa do Rio Negro, still in the state of Bahia, but very close to Piauí. Now, let’s see if we can stay here, find a place to stay. “Hey” Bahia, old warhorse. Bridge over the Preto River, am I going to get into that river? Look at that. It’s beautiful, huh. Let’s see here, where the entrance to the city is… Formosa do Rio Preto. There’s even a giant portal. I need some shade. Calm down, GPS, everything coldly calculated. Pull over here. We’ve arrived in town, now let’s see the inn where it is. Will we have time to take a dip in the river? The switch is on. We found the inn here, recommended by Fernando, who said it has access to the river. Hey, which one is it, over there or over there? Lodging. Let’s see here. Come on, that’s your job. Well, folks, here it was R$160 for a room for two people, or R$80 each. The river, access is closed, but she said she’ll let us in. And right next door is the restaurant, a good recommendation from Fernando. What now? Over there… What a great place for a motorcycle, huh, to park in front of the room? Oh, great. Look… Cozy. Today was a good day, looking for oil. We met the guys, who made a good recommendation, and one day we were supposed to sleep in an unfamiliar city, we even went for a swim in the river. Well, we’ve already checked in, and I don’t know if you’ll hear the noise in the recording, but there’s a motocross race going on here. Look at the little cabins; that’s also a lodging option. Here, the cabin cost R$220, if I’m not mistaken. And right next door, 300 meters away, R$160. It’s better to save money and walk, it’s good for your health. Hey guys, big river… Old, old river. Beautiful place here, look. Good afternoon . Current? Fresh? Great. Deep? I haven’t set foot in it yet, there are a lot of leaves. So that’s it, folks, this video ends here, in Rio Preto, here in Formosa do Rio Preto, a sensational place. If you liked this video, leave a like. If you haven’t already, sign up and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, @thinoronha and LeCappel. That’s it, thanks and I’m off…

Thiago, me tira uma dúvida…
Top!!!!
👏👏👏muito bom!!
