Yes, that’s why I came here. Hirosaki. This time, the work that took place in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture is Flying Witch. [Applause] This is a work from a few years ago, but this time I would like to take a look around this exhibition. So let’s get started. This time we visited Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival and the Sakine Festival are famous and attract many tourists. Hirosaki was a downtown area during the Edo period, and many old buildings remain today, allowing you to enjoy the townscape as you stroll around. This is roughly how many holy sites there are. There are quite a lot of them, so it’s a good idea to use this as a reference if you’re visiting on a pilgrimage. Since I’m at Hirosaki Station, I’ll start by touring the area around Hirosaki Station. Well, there were quite a few places I saw in the story so I was really excited. [Music] As I was wandering around Hirosaki Station, I immediately came across a large limestone object. The area around the station is also decorated with apple designs , as you’d expect from Aomori. The ticket gate near the object first appeared in episode 1 when Makoto got off the train. This scene also appeared in the scene where the train arrives at the station. oh. Right now, we’re in a place that’s like an observation deck. Ah, that’s it, Mr. Iwaki. I’ll be meeting Mr. Iwaki later, so please look forward to it. This is the bus stop. This is my first time in Aomori, and the atmosphere is a little different. I don’t know, what is it? The smell of Aomori is slightly different somehow. I don’t know if you could call it a smell, but the air is just a little different. You can rent bicycles at the Hirosaki Tourist Information Center, so you can rent one and tour around the city of Hirosaki. [Music] I’ve realized recently that it’s actually quite fun to cycle around unfamiliar places, so I’d encourage everyone to try it out by bicycle, rather than by car. Well, I just don’t want to drive a car. yes. Well, I’ll drive safely and enjoy the trip. The place you can see behind is called the Town Information Center, which is like a tourist information center, and apparently you can also rent bicycles there. I was wondering if there was a Flying Watch patrol map, so I’m currently looking for one, so I’ll come and see if there is one around here. It was a long time ago, so it’s a bit tricky. There was also a special Flying Watch, so although this location isn’t the official site, why not stop by? Well, the weather, I thought it would be cooler since it’s in the Tohoku region, but you could definitely go there in sleeves. Well, it depends on the time. yes. It’s quite easy to get around. By the way, this road I am walking on now is the road I first came across while cycling when I was helping out around the house, and it is the place where Makoto was visiting . If you look over there, you will see the Red Lega Warehouse. So, I think the scene was somewhere in the back like this , where Makoto was waiting for the train . One step. So let’s take a look at the economics as well. The tower at Saiseiin Temple is a designated Important Cultural Property of Japan, and the island is praised as the most beautiful in the Tohoku region. After all , it’s quite nice to go around by bicycle. I would like to encourage everyone to make the bicycle pilgrimage. OK , so we arrived at Aeon. Aeon also appeared, just for a moment, in a scene where they were going shopping, so I thought I’d quickly take a look at Aeon as well. Perhaps he has never appeared in a shot like this before ? Well, the fact that Iwaki-san can be seen anywhere is quite impressive for someone from outside the prefecture, but for the locals, it’s probably just an everyday occurrence. I was thinking that I must be feeling the same way as the people of Shizuoka Prefecture who see Mount Fuji every day and don’t feel anything , and then a thought suddenly occurred to me. [Music] So next we come to Hirosaki Apple Park. There is also a place here that appears briefly in Sakuchi, so let’s go visit it. Hirosaki City Hayashi Park has approximately 2,300 lime trees planted on an area of ​​approximately 9.7 hectares. It seems that you can experience harvesting the ripe apples from early August to early November, so if you have the opportunity, I would recommend you try it. [Music] It ‘s a nice scene. I could see a tree in the back and an apple monument in front, so I bought some apple juice. [Music] Over 300 is a bit expensive, so I’m looking forward to seeing what it tastes like. It’s modelled on the Sribatia Observatory, so let’s go up there for a bit. So, this is where we came to Bacha Observatory. Please take a look. [Music] [Music] Isn’t it nice that it’s really long? It’s one of the holy places I’ve always wanted to come to, so I’ve decided to go there. Plus, there weren’t many people there today so it was perfect timing. I did it. ah. Yes yes yes. Well, the red building over there is a good landmark, so just keep going further in. It took about 23 minutes by bicycle from the boarding point earlier to get to Shimoyukiguchi . After all, drawing snow is a little difficult to understand . This is the shrine that appeared in the story . There is a shrine behind here, so let’s take a look now. It was probably around this time that Makoto and the others started chanting some kind of spell. [Music] So, we’re heading to Iwakisan Shrine now. It’s a bit far from here, so please be careful if you’re going by bicycle. This helmet doesn’t fit at all . Is it because my hairstyle is weird? It’s kind of weird and lame. Well, I’ll be careful. Apparently, um, it looks like we have to climb this mountain. This is a common thing when visiting Anitra. Next time I should have taken the bus from Oshikuhirosaki Station. Oh, that’s amazing. Please take a look. I just climbed this. Yep, I definitely made a mistake. I’m sure it would have been better if I had taken a bus from Hirosaki. It always backfires, but there are still a few things to consider, so I ‘ll try not to let it go wrong. I could see it. I’d like to think that maybe it’s just a little while longer . It must be really hot when you go on a mountain road like that. They sell this at the shop right there. Please give it a try. 200 yen is cheap, isn’t it? It ‘s a shrine with a great atmosphere. You can see it in the back. Iwayama Shrine in Hiro City, Aomori Prefecture. This shrine, located at the foot of a beautiful rock, was founded over 1,200 years ago. The large building was very quiet, with its impressive straight three roads and magnificent gate, and it seemed like time flowed slowly throughout the space. In the story, it appears in a scene where a courier shows up. yes. So now that I’ve seen Yowakiyama Shrine, I’ll be heading back towards Hiro. yes. So, I’ve returned the bike, so I’m going to have lunch now. Well, of course, I’ll go and eat at that restaurant with the retro look. That’s the shop over there inside Fujita Memorial. [Music] I had lunch at the Taishoji Café, which was the model for the Conclave Café. The interior of the building was exactly as seen in the film, but the interior design of the terrace seating was a cut above the rest. Thanks to the era in which it was produced, I was able to spend my time leisurely. I ordered beef curry with bingo and akkal juice. The beef curry was delicious, with a mellow black pepper and sweet apple flavour . The atmosphere was so good that I ended up returning the next morning. This is a place that all Flying Witch fans should definitely visit. I went out to eat. No, it was really delicious and it was exactly like in the movie, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been there yet. It was expensive at one time. It’s a place I wanted to go to. Yes, it was great. Next, let’s take a look at Hirosaki Castle. Actually, I should come when the cherry blossoms are in bloom, but the timing is bad. But, I think you can probably see a beautiful view even if the cherry blossoms aren’t in bloom, so I’ll go and take a look. There are few things in Hirojo Tohoku that can be considered the symbol of Hirosaki City. It is also known as the place with living angels. Currently, the stone walls are under construction, so it was difficult to match the inside. [Music] [Music] We were taking pictures of the feet there, but there’s a bit of construction going on right now, so it’s difficult to match the inside. Well, the angle of view is something like this. The location, with Ki-san visible in the background, is also great. Hirosaki Castle has been passed down through the ages and is famous as one of Japan’s best cherry blossom viewing spots, boasting approximately 2,600 cherry trees in spring. The sight of this statue continues to quietly attract people’s hearts even today. So, this bridge is on the west side, and this is where I met Inumi-san. If you cross the bridge and go across to the other side, there’s a bench, so let’s sit on that bench. The view from here, well, it would probably look different if I went to Sakuragasa, but well, this view is really beautiful. This is where Chiga and the other dogs were sitting. During the Cherry Blossom Festival, there are stalls set up around here, and apparently there is even a haunted house . It hurt though. It’s the time period, so it can’t be helped . The biggest thing that surprised me about coming to Aomori was that the weather was quite hot. I didn’t think it would be this hot. It’s probably about 30° right now so it’s pretty hot. Well, after that I took that bike all the way to Iwayama Shrine, which was a bit of a mistake . That’s where I kicked some money out of there for some strange reason. That was a bit of a mistake. Somehow , it always ends up coming out in a negative way. I thought I’d save a little bit of money , so, well, everyone, I’m going to Hirosaki, so I recommend taking the bus. yes. Please don’t try to imitate me. Um, it’s really tough. So, if you go straight north, that ‘s the Ishiba house you’ll see straight ahead . The petrified house is believed to have been built in the mid-Edo period and is designated as a national important cultural property. Currently it is Sakaya, but the petrification has been going on for generations. It seems that he was dealing in goods and hardware within the Nishi-Onokami criminal establishment.
