“Bike Ride to the Office: Commuting Through Shinjuku’s Skyscrapers” #shinjuku #shinjukuexperience

[Music] [Music] this is my workplace I’m an overseas
Filipino worker from Philippines every day is a new day new challenge and New
Hope away from family and loved ones hampered by economy depression motivated by
un prolific pain fueled by responsibilities and commitments paved by the experiences and
long sufferings aspirations and objectives targeted to be reach a pathwalk to succeed
a journey to adhere from places to places situations and strategies came out
from intangible conditions unseen by many others depicted in picture of memories we
must keep rolling up to the Final Phase of fight work back on the road we still have a long way to get to Shinjuku my workplace at this point
my physical stamina are still good my mind set is just to get going as
this part of the road are mostly [Music] flat I’m expecting another heill
climb along the way that’s what I have seen from Google Map my running speed was much
faster as I’m aware of the road already [Music] as you may notice the roads along the way are
getting busier we have to be extra careful as we pedal along with the cars I decided to use
the road side even it doesn’t have a bike l as I was running at my top level already
and I don’t want any obstructions on my way there’s no bike lane on the sidewalks either [Music] incidentally this ride has took me to a longer
route as shown on the part two of this series and on part three I have to carry my bike
using the stairs for the first time adding up the miscalculations of Google Map it was a time
consuming bike ride session until I get to this road I didn’t feel confident as I was keeping
my thought if I was on the right path or not do you feel it now together we will ride to the
highest ground do you feel it now do you feel it now I know I’m on the right path I am well motivated
to reach Shinjuku though I know that I have spent much longer time than what Google map has
said for me on this ride I took this ride on a non workking day so I won’t have any issues
about how long I will take this ride after such I can assess myself and be better prepared as
I plan to do it in one of my working days I can have a better assessment of myself
to have a better route planning and preparations you feel now you feel now feel it now do you feel it as per my physical stamina I’m still not tired
at this point from my starting point shown in part one of this series almost an hour had passed
away I’m taking electrolytes every time I stop on the red light to keep myself well hydrated
I also have with me I ready to eat protein bars but I refuse to take it until I reach my
destination I’m getting better in cycling now more confident taking the road as I become aware
to the situations that I can take for a situation when to get a power bank and refilling my water
bottle there are so many 71 Family Mart loon and other convenience store all over Japan there are
other bike packing bloggers who is doing a much longer than I’m doing now that can testify
how good Japan for sing enthusias like us even with that I know I still have more
room to improve myself on how to achieve my staggard goals every ride has its own
different different story even if you are taking the same road your endurance is speaks
different status compared to your first time taking the same road maturity wise our body
is flexible to endure such physical changes that is happening every time you do your bik PR
may this be a good reference for those who are aspiring or just started to explore by ciding
exercise I’m using t f ex5 Generation 6 which I featured in the part two of this series
I’m getting some attentions now from some of our viewers I am more than than willing to
hear suggestions that can improve my riding activity as you can hear me Cofe that only signifies that my heart is
working hard to pump out the flood out of my system that means I am also
running out of oxygen supply to regulate my blood flow by coughing it helps to get
more oxygen intake aside from the breathing style that you are are doing during your ride unexpected things happen at some
point when you get caught and repair I didn’t notice that my GoPro battery is
getting empty so my video recording has stopped but the right must go on my mind is
set to reach the target I continue pedaling to reach shuku as I can I still have my Google
Maps from my mobile working I refuse to take video using my mobile at this point to reserve
it for Google Maps I decided to push through this ride as I want to achieve my intended
[Music] goal yes unexpected things happen along the way I discovered the trees along Kanda
River I can’t stop myself but to take videos and photos my words are not enough to describe the
feeling of finding a Hidden Gem along the way [Applause] a [Applause] [Music] a [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] still with a positive thought
I continue moving forward there are long uphill I conquered along
the way and some miscalculations brought from Google Maps but I persevere I
reach my destination goal [Music] as I get off my bike I felt my
two knees are wobbling it didn’t n that much as I do some stretching to you it out I headed to the nearest restaurant to finally
take my lunch as my reward I loaded my tummy heavy as I gear up myself to take the
reverse roadside back to my home [Music] I also loaded myself a cafe
to G much more energy I needed uh I want C what size you uh size size hot take away uh take away I stay in Star box for 1 hour to take rest [Music] [Music] this is a view from the rooftop of my
workplace I believe that most of these buildings have been featured in some anime and
Architectural documentories this is Shinjuku part of Tokyo prefecture that is also same
as Tokyo City the capital of Japan Shinju was comprised of skyscrapers May clubs karaoke
clubs upscale hotel and Commercial establishments [Music] [Music] oh [Music] now I know office is so by the
[Music] way it’s a [Music] large large well maybe s STS so far [Music] it
suggestions guys I’m more than willing to hear [Music] it I I just really
want to improve my my fitness where we and then you might be ending up uh taking
medicines or something that will harm your other organs but I found the cycling activity it’s
much more helpful [Music] [Applause] organical so so you don’t have to be fast
you don’t have to be at the best level limit more and then the next
right you will have I think you you know the adjustment you need to do um
then you get much better than than your previous ride taking the same route
anyhow then see you on the next ride
