Seriously, it’s Dragon Boat Festival It’s burning hot “Who is the Tri Mountain King” event It’s this one I came to collect the Nanzhuang Tianmei point Check-in complete Got it! Now I can redeem NT$100. It’s been a while since I came to Emei Lake. Look at that trail! The new trail is done! Just me My bike And the open road Let’s roll On Dragon Boat Festival Just got back to Hsinchu from the northeast coast And hopped right on my bike Time to start today’s cycling plan! Good afternoon, everyone I’m Wendy Dragon Boat Festival Instead of standing an egg at home I’m out here riding Just passed Qionglin Beipu Now I’m in Emei Heading toward Miaoli today First stop Looking for the Tri Mountain Stone In Emei I didn’t even know there was one here! Did you see it? So it’s actually right next to Green Cicada Tea Farm It’s really here at the Green Cicada Tea Farm in Emei! Right over there Let’s check it out Come on Okay But that wasn’t the end That was just Emei I’ve got to reach Miaoli! Then it counts Let’s keep going Arrived in Sanwan Would you take the road below into town Or climb the outer bypass above? Of course, I’m choosing the flat road It’s really hot today Super hot It’s Dragon Boat Festival Seriously, it’s Dragon Boat Festival It’s burning hot Like a charcoal grill At the end of May I just completed a stamp tour in Taoyuan Now it’s Miaoli’s turn! This event is called “Leisure Tour Miaoli – Ride & Run” It combines biking, Running, and hiking Record your activity with a device As long as you exercise an hour a day Within the Miaoli area You can earn points I accidentally spotted the “Who is the Tri Mountain King” So I stopped again To check in Now I’m starting the second type of activity Why am I so busy today? Now heading to the place Of the Tianmei Hairy Crab Let’s find it I think I’ve been there before Looking around Let’s find it Heading toward Nanzhuang That Provincial Route 124B Usually has a lot of cars So I decided to take the small farm road Farm path Much more relaxing There’s also a Tri Mountain Stone on 124B But the system only counts One per day So I figured I’ll skip that one today I already got the Emei one Now let’s take this little path And head to Nanzhuang While editing this video The Taoyuan stamp event results came out Didn’t win anything It’s okay The Miaoli event doesn’t need a raffle You earn it with effort Haha
I was too naïve Thought there’d be no climbing on this route And here comes this slope Nampu Bike Station Gotta stop here for water Water’s refilled Nice and cool Perfect Let’s continue Toward Nanzhuang Eh? I thought this shortcut would miss the Tri Mountain Stone But surprise! It’s right ahead Nice We made it To the Nanzhuang one Earlier I already got The Emei one Since we’re passing by Might as well take a photo with it Later I found out You don’t even need the photo! I linked it to Strava The system detects it automatically This stone actually gives you bonus points! Huh? GPS is telling me to take This magical path… I think it leads to a suspension bridge If I remember right Yup, I was right Exactly as I remembered! Yongxing Suspension Bridge It crosses the Zhonggang River To the other side—County Road 124 I just saw someone Ride a scooter across So I’m sure You can ride a bike on it too Just ran into a group of passionate cyclists Wow From here we connect to Route 124 Tianmei Old Street Quiet atmosphere Mostly single-story houses Still using traditional wooden sliding doors “Who is the Tri Mountain King” event It’s this one I came to collect the Nanzhuang Tianmei point Check-in complete Yonghe Temple An important local religious site Also a historic and artistic temple Designated in 2018 As a historical building of Miaoli By Miaoli County As soon as we enter Nanzhuang here’s another one listed as a historical building of Miaoli County— the Dongcun Dormitory. At a glance, you can tell this is from the Japanese colonial era. It was originally a camphor production and distribution office with office and dormitory spaces. Now, besides dining, part of it also offers accommodation. I’m here to collect the third point. I found the Nanzhuang Visitor Center. Let’s collect one more. All right. Now I can redeem NT$100. Got it! NT$100! I exchanged it for this box. For this event, you just need to collect three points. You get to discover new attractions, stay healthy through cycling, and even get a NT$100 voucher! I highly recommend it! It’s just that this year I didn’t see any promotions online— a little mysterious surprise! Oops, took the wrong turn. It must be this Tianmei Bridge— too beautiful, I got lured in. I should’ve gone straight. What a joke. Heading home. Thanks for riding along. Well then, I’ve got to get going. I’m Wendy. See you next time. Bye-bye! Wait a second— the video’s not over yet! I originally thought I’d just take Highway 3 back to Hsinchu. But following the GPS, I accidentally took Route Miaoli 19. Isn’t this part of the 2025 Tri Mountain Ride Carnival— the 38K advanced group route? Why did I take this road? It feels so steep! Another 3 km to Emei Lake. I need food… Thankfully, earlier I had taro paste— taro paste with red glutinous rice. Ah… Hang in there. I didn’t expect this road to have nothing at all. So I took a shortcut and arrived at Shierliao— a leisure farming area. Golden Legend Brick Oven Bakery, Angel Chapel, Shierliao Mountain Hiking Trail. Turn right! I see the Maitreya Buddha! We’re back in Emei. All right— continuing on the road home. Up ahead is Dapu Scenic Pavilion. Need a break? Need a bathroom? You can stop here. It’s been a while since I came to Emei Lake. Look at that trail! The new trail is done! I’ll come ride it next time. Emei Lake Trail— for now, you still can’t circle the whole lake! It’s expected to be completed in 2026. Looks like it’s almost finished! So excited! That 7-11 on the left—can’t believe it’s closed! It shut down last year (2024). Okay then— the video really ends now. Thanks for riding with me. I’m Wendy. See you next time!
