Unique Bike Hotel & Japan’s Art Island Naoshima | Cycling Across Japan

🚲 Japan Travel | Road Bike Journey — Part 3 (Final)
From a velodrome hotel to the art island of Naoshima — we continue our slow cycling trip across Japan.

We wake up to the sound of racers preparing for a real KEIRIN race, stay in Japan’s most unique hotel for cyclists, and ferry across to Naoshima, a quiet island filled with world-class art.
Then — vegan lunches, rice fields, rainy roads, and a decision: ride on through the storm, or head back home.

Sakura starts to fall. Our bikes feel like second skin.
And after 400 kilometers, we find ourselves back where it all began — but somehow completely changed.

📍 Uno Port → Naoshima → Shikoku direction → return to Hakata
📍 KEIRIN HOTEL 10 (yes, it’s inside a race track)
📍 Yayoi Kusama’s pumpkins & the Art House Project
📍 Vegan café, rice fields, and onsen reward
📍 Rain, reroutes, and a spontaneous end

We’re riding across Japan — slowly.
From Nara to Fukuoka, with no rush and no big plan.

We didn’t know how far we’d get —
but this spontaneous ride gave us more than we ever expected.

  1. I miss Hakata Station, I believe this is one of the many big eki in Japan. I also miss Fukuoka, the slow phase, the simplicity of the city, as well as the advanced technology. 🙌

  2. 岡山県北から同じ瀬戸内海の片上湾まで走った事がありますが、片鉄ロマン街道から梯子して、走れたら良いなと思います。リカンベントだから行けそうかな。?
