One day in September last year, which was actually the Mid-Autumn Festival, Kelly had some time that day so he accompanied me to go to the Roman Highway. The Roman Highway actually has nothing to do with Rome, Italy. It actually starts from Luofu Village in Fuxing District, Taoyuan , and then you can ride all the way to the south of Shimen Reservoir . Then you can ride along the mountain road all the way to Mawudu in Guanxi Town, Hsinchu. Luofu and Mawudu are both names of aboriginal tribes, but Mawudu is not planned as a village and is now called Jinshan Village. This Roman Highway is not far from the city. It is long and not too far from the city, so it is very suitable for beginners. There is a police car in front, so no one dares to overtake. XDD If we want to go to the Roman Highway, we must first turn from Provincial Highway 7B to Provincial Highway 7. This side is the Northern Cross-Island Highway^^ Oh, as you can see, the weather was really good during the Mid-Autumn Festival last year. Fortunately, I went out for a bike ride with Kelly that day. The weather was sunny and the temperature was not very high, which was very suitable for cycling. In fact, from the moment we connect to Provincial Highway 7, we are already in the Fuxing District (slip of the tongue). However, when we are about to reach Jiaoban Mountain, we will see the big blue words on the left , “Welcome to Fuxing District” (Slip of the tongue) We have ridden all the way down from Xindian and I am almost hungry now, so let’s take our Kelly to look for delicious food~^^ Okay, let’s park the car over here, next to the elementary school. This is the Jiaobanshan business district, so let’s try their Ma Gao sausages and peach smoothie . They are so expensive?!! The sausage is so small and this one is so expensive?? But this one is almost twice the price of the sausage . Is it delicious? How does it taste ? It’s quite fresh and fruity, really? Isn’t it faster to just take the lid off and eat it directly ? No need for a lid XD Let’s go to Jiaobanshan Park and sit down to eat. Okay , walk straight along this commercial street to the end and you will find the entrance to Jiaobanshan Park on your right. Actually, this is not my first time here, but I don’t know if it was because of the clear autumn weather that day XD so the sky looked particularly clean. Then the sun shone through the woods like this. Wow, Jiaobanshan Park is really quite romantic. There are quite a lot of plum trees on the left. It is said that it is very beautiful when the plum blossoms are in full bloom in January when it is very cold every year . There is a pavilion next to it and the view is very good. This side can be said to be on the east side of Shimen Reservoir. If we look down from here, the view should be very wide, but unfortunately it is blocked by the tree in front. I think there are many observation decks in Taiwan whose views are blocked by trees… The prices here in Jiaobanshan are relatively cheap. We saw Kelly wash and bought a big bag for only NT$100. One piece of shrimp cake is NT$50 It’s quite a big piece (cut into several pieces). It’s very windy today and it’s quite cool on Mid-Autumn Festival . Now I’m going to stick my little sticker on my car. Because the helmet is facing the left, I’m going to stick it on this side. Is that okay? Is it crooked ? It should be OK, right? Good , good, good!! After completing my “sticker ceremony”, my CB300R looks more like my teacher Guoba’s mount. Hey, the red one here is the Luofu Bridge. The blue one in front is the previous bridge, which was the Fuxing Suspension Bridge. On the right side of this side is the Xiayunping Observation Tower. I won’t go up to see the scenery today. From here, I entered Luofu. I rode on the Luofu Bridge. Wow, the scenery is very good. On the right is the Fuxing Bridge. The blue paint is very beautiful. Every time I pass by this place on the Beiheng Highway, I think “I have to go and see it next time, I have to go and see it next time.” Today, Kelly and I decided to ride down this small downhill to see the Fuxing Suspension Bridge with our own eyes. Let’s take a photo (the red one is) I think Luofu Bridge is pretty good. It doesn’t have too much commercial packaging and there are no vendors. We can just enjoy the scenery . There is a sign in front saying “Luofu ” . This should be the place in Luofu that people call Luofu. We are almost at the entrance of the Roman Highway. Here we see a row of temporary parking lots on the roadside. It may not be “temporary”, it is just “parking” ^^:: But in fact, its shoulder is not wide enough. Parking like this will actually occupy the road area. Wow, you see it’s like this along the road. In fact, this is a bit of a concern for driving… Because the weather is very hot, Kelly and I rode to the Luofu store of 7-11, which is called “Luofu Little 7”. I asked Kelly to wash and buy two bottles of drinks , and I parked the car here and waited for him to come back. Because this 7-Eleven doesn’t have any special parking spaces, so we parked the car directly on the roadside… There were a lot of cars just now, so I was a little worried, so only Kelly went to wash and buy, and I stayed here to take care of the car. XD I don’t know if it was because I ate too much fried food just now or what XD I felt a little dry in the mouth and wanted to drink water that day , so we bought two bottles of drinks here. After drinking the water to replenish water, we officially embarked on the journey to the Roman Highway~^^ At an intersection, turn right on Route 118 and you will enter our Roman Highway. It’s not very long after riding. It won’t be long before you reach this place. This is the intersection of Xikou Road. Turn right here and you will reach the Xinxikou Suspension Bridge. Wow, the scenery is very beautiful. The whole road is about two or three kilometers (actually 1.1 kilometers). Its slope is a bit steep, and the road width is relatively small. So if you come here by car or on a large motorcycle, you must slow down when you come down. Okay, when we come here, let’s take a look at the Xinxikou Square. You have to go to this place. If you ride further down, you will reach the base of the suspension bridge, but you won’t be able to see the suspension bridge . If you want to see the suspension bridge or walk over, you have to come here. Parking for motorcycles is 50 yuan, huh?? Parking is 50 yuan . Parking requires payment. Yes, it’s required . Isn’t it written at the door? This is a really bad feeling^^:: When you come in, there is no sign saying that parking here costs money. When you walk over, the uncle doesn’t have any identification card on his body or wears a uniform of the city government or district office and tells you that he will charge you 50 yuan. If many scenic spots in Taiwan have such a situation, it will really make people feel shocked… But it’s okay~ It’s free to walk over here and take a photo of this suspension bridgeXD It costs 50 yuan to walk on the suspension bridge (ticket). But if you take pictures and enjoy the scenery: it’s free. Later, when I was riding back, I saw a Catholic church here. It felt quite quiet. Then I noticed on the right hand side… Eh? Isn’t this the Xinxikou Suspension Bridge? XDOkay , then we’ll go down there and take a short break. Although I didn’t feel good just now , it’s still pretty good to see the complete appearance of the Xinxikou Suspension Bridge with my own eyes . XD Then Kelly and I will continue to drink some water here to replenish our water, and then take a look at the scenery and take our commemorative photos!! Although this Roman Road is basically built along the south side of the Shimen Reservoir , it doesn’t mean that you can always look to the right and see the lake view of the Shimen Reservoir on the road. It’s often like this. There are trees on both sides. But it feels quite quiet. When we came to this place , there was a traffic quiet zone near Kuihui Elementary School. The speed is 30 km/h. It doesn’t matter because there are children. We still have to ride slower. Please ride slowly when you pass by. ^^ It would be better if this could be cut down… I think this observation deck is the place with the best scenery on the Roman Road, but it’s a pity… There are often those trees that grow very tall and block your view. Then I was thinking, what if it is not trimmed in 10 years?? Will you not be able to see anything? Okay, let’s continue to head towards Hsinchu Mawudu. Actually, most of this road is in the Fuxing District of Taoyuan. In addition to the observation deck I just mentioned, which I think is a must-visit, there is another spot I want to stop at but haven’t had the chance to do so yet. It’s in Changxing. At an intersection, you have to turn right and then ride down to the lake. Follow this yellow road and you will eventually reach the Pine Forest Pier . This side is directly next to the reservoir. XD It is said that you can camp there . I will take photos next time to show you ^^ Kelly and I drove along this road very leisurely and slowly towards Guanxi that day . You can see that our speed is really very slow ^^ We are not slow drivers~ If there are cars behind us, we will give way. But we think that this country road is a rare opportunity for me and my wife to go out together, so we just ride slowly and enjoy it slowly ^^ We rode slowly and slowly until we arrived at the intersection of Provincial Highway No. 3. Guanxi Town is in front of us~ Guanxi Town is our Kelly’s grandmother’s home. He often went back to his grandmother’s home since he was a child. She is also familiar with the shops here. Today, he brought me here to eat this shaved ice ~ This place is really crowded because the food here is quite delicious and the price is not expensive. Look, three scoops of shaved ice are only 35 yuan, it is really worth the money~ XD I rode a whole day and ate a lot of food today , so I ended with this shaved ice!! Well, the above is our video today. I wonder if you like it. If you like it, remember to
