I can’t pay for this!

I’m not going to do this now so it starts making funny noises again like now it’s a crackling noise but it’s okay still   running no problem Eve make sure you last for a little while longer that would be nice you ready oh wow okay got everything okay look that is the route from
yesterday we did I forgot to put it in the   video I think uh we climbed up quite a bit 874 now we’re at 230 went a bit fast there I think today we’re just going to go up here somehow that’s Chiang Mai that’s the ultimate goal I mean I can just I think today I’ll just record the trip I think that’s cool just recording and I like it because I can see how much I went so far altitude average kilometers cool that’s the altitude difference that we do it’s all it’s pretty cool stuff you can see here our stats are also cool okay let’s go right pretty bike yeah you worry me a bit though but as long as you run you run checked you’re checking my room too I checked my room you forgot something no did not
– you did got something that we have to do always to check your room before leave always because at least in the beginning we always forget things then you get used to that and you don’t forget anymore
– I never forgot anything you didn’t never
– never – never well a shower gel okay let’s go bye-bye that was nice here goodbye bye doggo 400 baht for a room and yeah as I said before I will ride the bike until it dies and it probably will die in Thailand and but I hope I can still make it to Malaysia because in Malaysia I can park it for a while and then just then figure out what to do with the bike because I’m not going to buy a new motor because zero motorcycles they want to have I think it’s like $4,000 plus labor to put in the motor it’s like no way I’m going to do this it’s like the bike has 73,000 km and it’s 5 years old so no way I’m going to invest this kind of money again I mean I would love to keep going on the bike but I just it’s it makes no sense absolutely abolutely not I’d rather buy a new bike and I have to ship the motorcycle anyway that will cost money so I’d rather go to my next country and buy a new motorcycle there I think that’s a good choice what do
you think but for now let’s explore Thailand just because he’s a guy he like it because there is a guy here why would I like a guy I want to look like him what’s the flavor Sesame no no no they don’t have mine no but here yeah plain tastes like nothing fruit is better yes
– we have fruits – we do have fruit but we also have a help
– yeah if you want to buy that come to 7 eleven not sponsored let’s go so yeah just you know you have to stop and buy some food every now and then but 7-eleven here in Thailand is really good like they have everything yeah I do 40 yeah I didn’t have enough Quick Tire review I’ve been driving
them now for like I think 2 or 3,000   km and I’m very happy so far they’re very grippy I’d say okay review over you need some air oh that is air that’s air that’s what I did oh just checking feels good but yeah
– yeah it’s okay just for checking we can check in when we stop all right now we’re talking guys what a beautiful road hey we’re riding right into the jungle it feels like so good man but yeah this is exactly what
I heard of roads beautiful landscape incredible that’s what everybody said this is why I wanted to come here oh boy but yeah no more charging stations so have to take it a little bit easy I reckon that also kept me alive this last over two years two and a half years almost since I started to the UK because I like going fast but sometimes I just Eve doesn’t allow me probably for the best I’d say   another checkpoint hey what are they checking for can’t read that what are they looking for Chiang Mai okay bye everybody friendly yeah right okay we’re just taking this little dirt track and trying to get to the river because on the other side of the river is myanmar you are filming me
– no I would never film you you’re just good
– I mean I could help you but I could also just film you
– yeah you have content I mean and you’re independent woman you see look look
– yeah but it’s not going to go anywhere I don’t think go to the ground
– I don’t think so it’s because your bike is not heavy look at that my bike is 235 kg that was awesome uhhuh
– it’s not going to fall where is it going to go
– to the ground no no no no on to me please look where the bike is going you need a man now to help you no no
– that will compress the air uh the sand wait wait look even here
– wait wait wait wait wait no no no no no that’s not no no no here I think is not a good idea yeah right over there is myanmar it’s very hard to get into myanmar these days yeah myanmar has a civil war going on and that’s why the initial plan was for me go from India to myanmar but uh no I wouldn’t get a visa and they wouldn’t let the bike in for sure I think you can fly in but but now we’re here and we see
the country a little bit anyway from afar I couldn’t really find anyone to ask but
I saw the power here and I just plugged   it into this like not really a temple but
I think they do like celebrations here when   somebody comes later I’ll just give them some money but that’s actually cool we’re charging yeah it’s called rooster crazy right the village that we saw it was a refugee village and they made a house house with a roof with leaves   leaves how that can be possible why everyone should have be able to have their own house
– yes I agree Fernanda for president Fernanda for president yeah let’s do it I bring food
– like I eat better than ever finally Marc will eat properly as God says to do passion fruit oh is it passion fruit
– it is I thought it’s maracujá
– maracujá is Portuguese maracujá is Portuguese and German is too maracujá oh
– yeah they know they sell that in the 7eleven yeah right no done food food ready to eat ready to eat yeah and they warm it up and warm
– it’s still warm okay it looks a bit strange but it’s very very yummy okay guys that was really cool what a
place to charge I love it okay thank you and I wanted to give some money I said where can I
give a donation but they didn’t want to have a donation so uh yeah so that charge was for free again I don’t know maybe you guys know maybe maybe these places get the power for free from the government I don’t know and now I think we only do another 150 km now 188 km
range so that’s all good it’s quite hot again bye sweet ah some air nice all right guys let’s do it guys we’re in for a treat here with the   roads look at that wow bloody good roads here super smooth wow enjoy guys yeah but also bloody bloody slippery look it’s really going great I don’t
know what they did with the last update I can’t   zoom in and out anymore so uh I hope they fix that again maybe it’s just a mistake you see there there is the river and over there is myanmar so basically almost in myanmar it’s just a little river wow what a cool area that is here but that’s why also all the police stops is that how you eat it looks a little bit
– it’s a bit but after can you wash your hands when you don’t have a table your bags is your table yes if you have them if you don’t have
– don’t so how do you like the jungle yes I like that but I prefer desert place oh and off-road
– yes but yeah I mean it’s beautiful wet hot but beautiful I feel like now reaching this kind
of Thailand that the people come   here for for riding because this is just this just incredible and it’s just a start now I think I
think it’s going to get better and better now wow what a nice evening
that is wow look at the sunset gee I don’t even know exactly the name of the town couldn’t see it banlum it’s called I think but there’s a hotel here somewhere just check it out see how good it is or if it’s any good no bookings with Fernanda no bookings just go see check it out it’s actually cool it’s actually better and today she will do the negotiation because I’m really bad at that I’m just oh look at that I like these
temples so much they look so cool okay that’s pretty cool I like it nice and
10% battery yeah so easy 250 km we did I accidentally stopped recording
the other route but yeah 250 km don’t think my cable is long enough all right guys that’s the
room it’s pretty okay smells a little bit like smoke but yeah we have a balcony so good
nice view yeah could be worse what a cool day riding through the jungle charging
worked out brilliantly didn’t have to make   an extra stop just a lunch break was perfect yeah tomorrow will go on as long as Eve runs she   runs I can go I can explore uh don’t forget to subscribe and I’ll see you in the next video

Another wild day in Thailand! Eve’s making weird noises again, but she’s still running—so we push on. We left the mountains behind and rode through lush jungle roads, slippery curves, and peaceful villages, heading closer to the Myanmar border (which, by the way, you can’t cross—trust me, I checked) Fernanda and I grabbed some snacks at 7-Eleven, got a quick tire/air check, and found the most unexpected charging spot near a village temple. The locals were amazing—they even let me charge for free again (I tried to donate, they wouldn’t take it).
We rode nearly 250 km today through some of the most beautiful roads I’ve seen in Thailand so far. It’s the kind of riding people dream about. Tomorrow? More jungle, more unknowns—just the way I like it.
Subscribe to follow Eve and me as long as she keeps rolling.

  1. I think your motor is fine, sounds like worn out bearing noise to me on that shaft, should be able to replace like a wheel bearing, more difficult though im sure.

  2. Rooting that you make it to Malaysia. Btw those checkpoint are looking for traffickers, both drugs or humans. They probably increased them because of the scam call center incidents.

  3. Am not a mechanic, but if you use a screw driver as a listening device (as I have been taught and it works), place the handle over your ear and run the tip on several points on the body, motor and the outer bearing casing of the front cog where the belt runs, see where the grating sound comes from, it will be loudest at the source of the problem. I suspect it is the front bearing on the drive belt pulley. If that´s the case just replace that bearing before anything else gets damaged, a bearing is cheap, replacing one in Thailand is also cheap. Just make sure it's a good brand. Replacing that bearing will stop you a day in your travels at worst. Greater damage can cost a lot more if you allow the problem to grow.

  4. Personally I think the fact that your using electric and it’s actually not an issue charging the bike, the achievement when you reach your end goal will mean much more. That said, I get the cost implications, could you get another lower mileage zero or maybe that Chinese company would sponsor you, they seemed very interested in what you were doing.

  5. These sounds coming from the engine can help you be noticed more easily in traffic. I look at the situation from a positive perspective. 🙂 I hope it doesn't leave you stranded on the road.

  6. hey man it's actually the motor bearing! might as well replace it it doesn't cost that much like 5 bucks there!!

  7. Yes Marc, do yourself a favour and buy a ADV bike if that one breaks. Doesnt need to be drastic change to 18"-21"wheels, you can go for adv bike with 17"-19"" wheels with street tires. You already convinced us all that its possible to travel with electric bike around the world. You will always be remembered as one of the pioneers of electric bike traveling. But i have to admit, if you finish your trip with EVE in Australia, would be epic. Keep safe and enjoying your adventures 🙌

  8. I have change the bearing in my electric car (hyundai ioniq). It is also a pm motor with an encoder. I just put back the encoder in the same place and no calibration needed.
