Nishi-Tokyo city sprints🌞 🚴💥💨 and some cherry blossoms! 🌸💮🌸💮🌸

This ride was a bit of an experiment. After a couple of rest days, my head wasn’t really in the game for cycling. The usual motivation just wasn’t there. I was feeling mentally sluggish and definitely not ‘ready’ to ride.
It’s tempting to go for an easy spin in those situations, but I’ve noticed a pattern: sometimes low intensity after a break actually seems to amplify that feeling of ‘not being ready’. So, today’s Nishi-Tokyo commute turned into a high-intensity sprint session.
The theory? Hit it hard, reset the system, and use the intensity as medicine. This video captures that effort – hitting it hard to shake off the mental cobwebs instead of spinning them deeper. Let me know if you find the same! and discuss in the comments!🚴💥💨.
