Did I Find the Best Place on Earth? 🇿🇦 vA 178

Soon after leaving Betty’s Bay, in the Western Cape, in South Africa, I arrive in Kleinmond, and I stop to recharge my battery and for lunch. The first place, strangely refuses to let me charge my battery, but luckily, the second place accepts and the food is absolutely amazing. As I eat a lot, the people near by notice me and a Swiss man comes to talk to me, to know where did I come from with this strange tricycle and this huge appetite. In the end, he pays for my meal.
After this wonderful lunch, I resume my way towards Hermanus, meeting quite a few very friendly people on the way. Before reaching Hermanus, I go to a place where they make wine to see if I can try some. After realizing that it was foolish to want to drink wine while riding on the road, I finish my way to Hermanus where I stay in a beautiful and very well organized backpackers.

  1. The lady selling Monk seems to either be afraid of allowing you to charge your battery or under strict instructions from he employer not to allow it.

  2. Thank you for such positive video's.
Generally we are a bunch of friendly people .
Im moving to the UK with a heavy heart because of marriage but my heart will always belong in cape town.

  3. Still watching from Kenya, Yves you have fewer followers for someone whose been vlogging by cycling across Africa and a little of Europe if you could have been telling people to follow you on YouTube today you could have more than a million followers

  4. So- how’s this for a head bender fellow fans and friends-

We decided to go and invite you/Yves for sundowners at the best spot in Hermanus or actually Onrust … this evening, (day of posting) and the gent at the back packers said that you were here in December 2024!!!! So disapointed, not to mention confused. 😞

  5. Yves, I'm a South African (Living in Cape Town) that has lived in 2 other countries. Other continents. Our country is fraught with violence, crime, problems but hopefully also a general yearning for the "better. What your videos shot in SA has shown us South Africans, is that the divisions, are man made.i.e. We must GET RID of politicians sowing the seeds of division. South Africans in general, have the will to embrace everyone and be ambassadors reflecting the good of this place.

  6. Such a helpful lady making a plan for your batteries…
This is how most of us are…
    The food looks absolutely delicious…
    As our food generally is…
Watching you enjoying our country is a delight…
    Thank you for the subtitles…

  7. South Africans don't appreciate theirs country, im from France nd travelled around for 7 years nd now live in Fourways nd I can tell you that this is my best country this far 🤷

  8. We need Yves on National Television or local radio before he leaves South Africa—what a gem! Let's make it happen, Mzansi!

  9. So here we have it from Yves. It's the best place out of his 100 countries he visited. I love South Africa. I am from the Caribeen. ❤

  10. Thats my house lol !!! Yess its so incredible here, you should go for some walks in the kloofs and mountains – Harold Porter Gardens Leopards Kloof is the most beautiful thing!

  11. Yves you make incredible videos on your journey, and your channel should have at least 1Million subscribers. I have noticed you rarely tell people about it. Many people only talk about your tiktok, you can pin your youtube channel on your Tiktok page and also when you meet all those people tell them about this channel even without them asking and also specifically ask them to subscribe. I believe it is also one of big your source of income and you can grow it through telling as many people as possible about it. Thank me later and I'm your loyal fan.👏👏

  12. I have travelled South Africa North to South and East to West over the last 20 years. It is gorgeous everywhere. Mpumalanga and Kwa-Zula Natal…the Drakensberg is mindblowing. The Cape has its magic sure, but in my view not the prettiest and definitely not the best weather.

  13. Love your travel vlogs but watching you eat is not enjoyable. Do all dutchman chew with their mouths open and talk with mouths full of food?
    Disgusting and no class

  14. I've been following your trip for some months now, and I must say I am totally thrilled by every new episode! I am a wheelchair user driving around the countryside with my wheelchair bike, which basically is a front wheel I attach to my regular wheelchair. I can only dream of doing long distances like you do, as I don't have an electric motor on my bike. My trips are just about 20 kilometers at a time. Speaking of electric motors… will you get a new second battery for your trip home? Going the whole distance back with just one battery sounds very risky to me.

  15. I’m surprised Kino hasn’t bought a spare battery yet, im hoping he’ll get one before he leaves south Africa, things might get very tough with close to zero charging points in a long drive. Please mr Kino update us about the battery situation.

  16. Im curious Yves, sometimes when you meet a fan they have a regional or local handshake custom like the gentlemen at the 30 minutes mark. Do you know many handshakes after 3+ years of meeting people?
