Bikepacking Disaster: Lost Drone, Battling Thirst & Locked Gates

In this third episode along Nathan’s i727 – Tour de l’Hérault en VTT – De Sète à Sète bikepacking route, I wake up in a beautiful wildcamping spot just before sunrise and take a few drone shots of the tent and surrounding landscapes. Unfortunately, disaster strikes as my drone crashes into a tree, landing in a dense, ravine-filled forest. After spending the morning trying to retrieve it, I have to leave my expensive drone behind. As I continue, the route becomes more challenging with overgrown thorns, blocked gates, and dwindling water supplies. By 8 pm, thirsty and exhausted, I finally reach a village to refill my water. Shortly after, I find a vineyard and decide to camp there, feasting on grapes before bed. But not before scaring away a family of wild boars that keeps approaching my tent!

Shit same thing happen to my drone using master shot on side of a forest hill .. what was a pain was the battery switched off after it crashed as the arm folded and couldn’t track it but luckily i found it after 6 hours still fine lucky lesson learn dont use master shot

I am always happy to continue this suffering with you, that's THE REAL ADVENTURE, i'd like to be involved. I sincerely sympathize with your efforts. I'm not sure whether to wish you more of this "fckn hell", but personally, this is exactly what I'm looking forward to and the only complain, that the episodes gettin shorter. Respect!

Davide have you replaced your drone yet? That sucks to lose it but don't risk an injury trying to retrieve it. All your challenges felt like they doubled after your drone went kamikaze on you.

Davide, I feel your pain. My drone Dji ended up in the river. I got it back as it fell very close to few people swimming there, so they catch up before it sinked😅 But it didn't fly anymore. At least got my memory card with a few days' footage
