A Day in the Life of a Resident of Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan – Vlog
In this video, I’ll be picking up lunch at two popular specialty shops in Susukino: “Nadai Nigirimeshi,” an rice ball shop, and “Sandria,” a sandwich shop.
Then, I’ll be heading to Nakajima Park, a perfect spot for autumn leaves, to enjoy my meal.
Both shops are famous in Sapporo for their delicious rice balls and sandwiches.
I highly recommend Sandria’s egg salad sandwich—the fluffy egg filling is absolutely delicious.

Nakajima Park is within walking distance from Odori Park and Susukino.
It’s a lovely, nature-rich park that’s a great place to relax.
In autumn, the vibrant fall leaves reflected in the pond are simply stunning.
There are also many wild birds, so you can enjoy a bit of birdwatching here as well.
This time, I found a cozy bench along the small river running through Nakajima Park to enjoy my rice ball and egg salad sandwich.
