The fastest & cheapest way to get a bird's eye view of the city is to go train hopping. But it needs to be done strategically. The trains are fine from 9:30am to 3pm. Then 8pm till closing. Stations sell the Beep cards (for multiple rides) at 1pm but they only have 10 cards available (don't know why).
I suggest you start from One Ayala MRT, travel southwards to Taft Ave. Then transfer to LRT-1, travel to Doroteo Jose station then transfer to LRT-2, and then alight at Araneta Center Cubao. Tour Gateway mall then head to the MRT Araneta/Cubao station to return to One Ayala.
This is the safe way to see Manila without needing to touch the ground – you'll be ensconced in the elevated walkway althoughout. A safe adventure for first-timers.

Metro manila is just another country it's congested and like in other countries, Bulidings and modern style. But you need to try local people, more local food than expensive restaurants in manila to feel the philipines. Some vloggers stayed in philippine Provence than metro manila.
