“Kurasu” is derived from the Japanese word that means “to live” or “lifestyle.” What began as an online homeware venture has evolved into an internationally recognized leader in Japanese coffee brewing equipment.

Savor our specialty coffee at locations in Kyoto, Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Hong Kong. In 2021, we relocated our roastery cafe from Fushimi Inari to Nishijin, where we roast using a Loring S35 Kestrel.

Our mission is to introduce the world to Japanese coffee culture through coffee products, partnerships with roasters, and our signature roasts. Kurasu is more than a coffee shop—it’s a global ambassador for specialty coffee culture.

  1. Hello

Kurasu Kyoto I visited your YouTube Channel. Your content is Excellent. But your Channel is not growing, Because your Content title and Description are not SEO-friendly and do not have Enough Rank tags. This is why there is no Content Coming to the top of YouTube. As a result, your video SEO Score is very low, according to VidiQ, (your channel's video's SEO score is 0 / out of 100, which should be 80+). If you want, I can make it 80+, which wifubll help your channel grow faster. If you SEO your videos Properly then the Channel Progress will be very Fast & Subscribers and Views will Increase. If you want I can solve problems and help you rank your videos Better. If you are Interested Please Let me know.

  2. will not support Blue Bottle because Nestle owns a majority stake, but thank you for the rest of the recommendations 🙂 Kurasu Ebisugawa is one of my favorite shops ever

  3. This is a GREAT 1 day coffee focused itinerary for Kyoto. I always appreciate your insights Yozo and am very proud of myself for visiting all of these places in October (thanks to your helpful words)!

Was a little nervous watching you get back on a bike my friend!

  4. This channel was where I found some of my very first pour over instructional videos, years and years ago. I got to go to Kyoto for a few days back in September and visiting your shop was genuinely the thing I was most excited about.

Loved getting to visit the city, and especially loved getting to visit one of the shops, responsible for my very earliest coffee knowledge.

  5. It’s great to see amazing coffee spots in Kyoto like Kurasu, Weekenders, and Yoshihara Coffee. However, what stands out the most in this video is the moment you unexpectedly meet your father and walk together. Thank you for the wonderful video 🙂

  6. I live in Kyoto and I've been to so many coffee shops in Kyoto and Kurasu is absolutely my favourite! I'm not a coffee drinker so I always look for matcha at coffee shops and I appreciate that it is given the same attention to quality as the coffee. When my friends visit Japan, Kurasu is the first café I recommend and they're never disappointed.

  7. Nxt trip to kyoto, these coffee shop going to be in my bucket list. I really curious about the flavour of v60 in these shops. Look simple but as u said, the quality is guaranteed.

  8. Thank you for a fantastic video, the YouTube Algorithms knows me too well!

Whenever I travel to new places one of the things I love doing is checking out the coffee scene, I am in Kyoto for the first time in April, this is a great starting point!!

    New subscriber here too!!

  9. Such a good video dude, love seeing places I’ve already visited, and discovering your cafes- I think I visited, but will have to make a second visit

  10. I tried to do this during my visit to Kyoto in 2023! I was armed with my list of shops from the cycling map 😅 Kurasu Kyoto Stand was also my first stop upon getting off the shinkansen, and I made visits to the Ebisugawa location, Inoda Coffee and Weekenders the next day. Can’t wait to go back and try all the other cafes!

  11. I just wish the Japanese learned about the horrible history of what they did to millions of Asians.. they don't even teach this in school.. a country that doesn't acknowledge it's history, has no future..

  12. Great video! All those coffee shops are indeed great.
Come to Osaka next time to do a similar walkthrough 😁
