Central African Republic: A Nation Shattered by Chaos, Rebels, and Foreign Influence

The Central African Republic (CAR) has been mired in chaos since its independence in 1960, plagued by coups, civil war, and weak governance. Fourteen rebel groups control most of the country, with public services nearly nonexistent. While locals face dire conditions, foreign powers like Russia exploit CAR’s instability, vying for influence through military and political interventions. Once involved, France’s retreat has left many citizens feeling abandoned amid ongoing violence and exploitation.

  1. Leave Africa alone and go back to your people in the West. Your people are the ones who are stealing from Africa and causing factions of war to weaken them in order for you to get in and get the resources. Then you coming around to make videos about it.

  2. I love how people from the west blame France for the problems in this area, yet here are the people praising France for all they do for them… Checks out.

  3. This is sad western media can visit a rebel held area and report are sympathetic to the rebels this is how you know they are part of the problem.

  4. Fascinating documentary..
When I see the influence China and Russia are attempting to exert in Africa, I wonder why the US isn’t doing more to gain influence in this region.
Given the African component of its society, it’s hard to understand why the US doesn’t play to its strengths and bond with CAR as well as other other African countries.

  5. THE GOVERNMENT OF THAT COUNTRY DID NOT ALLOW YOU TO MEET THE REBALS BUT ANYWAY YOU DID IT BECOUSE YOU ARE EUROPEANS AND AMERICANS SO YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT ANYWHERE YOU WANT.

  6. I like the part where they yell at the doctor for not doing enough and being understaffed and it's his fault that there aren't enough doctors.
Ahh yes, his fault. Wouldn't happen to have anything to do with the way you're treating them, maybe?
