Nicknamed “Shikahachi,” the bicycle journey that traces the memory of the Great East Japan Earthquake began in 2014. Starting from Kashima Jingu Shrine in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture, the riders travel a total of 800 km over a period of seven days to Kabushima Shrine in Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate, and Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture.
