28 – Phantom liberty is AMAZING plus a Judy date – Cyberpunk first playthrough

Couldnt believe it when i dropped in on stream and saw those two guys in the apartment were still alive! But then i saw that you reloaded the save and blasted them, thereby restoring the natural order of things…😅

The Chimera battles is one of the coolest things in this game. Absolutely loved the riveting energy in that sequence! Well done Hollie! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really love watching you playing through this game! I love Phantom Liberty and it is fun to see every thing I got to experience again. Like you This is still my favorite game ever. And started day one launch day.

There's absolutely no reason for Myers to hate you or trust you less just because you stole the relic from Arasaka. Militech (who have deep ties with the NUSA, they're practically one and the same) and Arasaka are bitter rivals, going years back. They've been at war with each other. They have a very, VERY shakey truce going right now, and even earlier in the story you can hear Yorinobu say during a press conference that Myers considers Yorinobu's aggressive takeover of Arasaka and deployment of troops in NC a violation of the Arvin Accord, which is essentially the truce between them.

If anything, she'd probably see you as more of an asset because you have stolen Arasaka tech.

Also, one more important thing to know about Myers and Night City: Night City is an independent city, not under the NUSA's rule. Kurt Hansen and his men were originally sent by Myers and the NUSA in the last corporate war in Operation Midnight Storm, to secure a foothold in Night City for the NUSA. (i think over a decade ago, there's a cool video series detailing the events on the Cyberpunk official youtube channel, definitely watch it, takes up about 10 minutes altogether and even goes into detail about the city's history too with some cool graphics and awesome narration.)

Then the war abruptly ended, and Hansen and his men were ordered to stand down and demobilize: they refused, and instead Hansen took Dogtown for himself and formed Barghest, the primary gang that Hansen controls, the goons in green you'll see all over Dogtown.

Night City is independent from the NUSA, and Dogtown is (by force and threats) more or less independent from Night City. Myers was never meant to land in Dogtown on that flight, you can see in the original cinematic trailer that they were literally flying up in the atmosphere. Whoever helped Hansen hack the flight before he got impatient and shot it down anyway probably wants Hansen to have Myers as a hostage. Hansen having Myers hostage would be insanely good leverage to use against the NUSA and gain more power.

The key takeaway though: Night City is not part of the NUSA, and Dogtown is its own special military stronghold/mini city within Night City, where NC cops and corpos are not allowed. This makes Dogtown a prime location to hide for those on the run from the law.

If the NUSA were to officially deploy forces in Dogtown, send troops in to get Myers back, for example, it would instantly spark another war and be a huge breach of the Arvin accord.

That's why this situation is so tight, why Myers needs Solomon Reed to be a secret sleeper agent within NC. NUSA spies and military are NOT allowed in NC, and are at even more risk in Dogtown.

These details can be put together from shards and conversations in the game, but I felt it was important to mention, as there are some events later that might have you thinking "wait, why don't they just ___"
