In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don’t know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I’m raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. Wonderful video! Nearly sixty years ago, I would run with my fellow Harriers up to the Summit Road and along the Port Hills every Sunday morning for our weekly 20-mile jog. A bunch of us rode bicycles up there once, but I don't recall taking my motorbike up there… took the tunnel to Lyttleton and the ferry (yes, the Wahine) to Wellington instead. And those bays like Pigeon Bay had huge numbers of paua to be grabbed at low spring tide… I fed the entire Physics Department picnic that way once 🙂
I need to get a cub again.
