Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. Great video, this is where I grew up, I lived on Old Dunstan Road.
The large bird you saw was likely to be a Harrrier, (circus approximans), its Maori name is a Kahu. Fairly common in both islands, frequently feeds on road kill.

Piękny, ale przygnębiający krajobraz bez jednego drzewa lub choćby krzaka. Wolno biegające stada owiec i krów na takim terenie nadają mu uroku. Woda w zalewach była bardzo zimna?
