This area is also a building related to Kyoto University Previously if you went to the left at this intersection there was Kyoto City Sakyo Ward Office It has now moved to the Matsugasaki area which was introduced in the previous #17 Hokusen-dori video

If you go to the right at the intersection you will be in the central area of Kyoto University A famous building in the area is the Centennial Clock Tower Memorial Hall The Konpeito shop Ryokujuan Shimizu came into view It is said to be the only konpeito specialty store in Japan

It also became famous for being used as a wedding present for Princess Norinomiya This time I bought a small bag of strawberries and bananas It looks perfect as a souvenir The taste was also very delicious Turn right here and you will reach Hyakumanben intersection Ajari Mochi Honpo Mangetsu came into view

This is the main store of Ajari Mochi Honpo Mangetsu Ajari mochi has already become a standard Kyoto souvenir I really like the chewy texture of the dough The sweetness of the red bean paste is just right The tracks of the Eizan Electric Railway are now visible

In this video, we will take you through the streets of Kyoto,

I ride my bike (and walk where I can’t) at a leisurely pace.

鞠小路通（まりこうじどおり）
大正時代初期に作られた道。
南は春日北通から北は高野東開町までをつなぐ。
南は京都大学医学部附属病院から京都大学の関係施設が多い学生の街で、
北は住宅地が多い地域となっている。
道のちょうど中間にあたる百万遍交差点の近くには有名なお菓子屋さんがある。

Marikoji Dori
A road built in the early Taisho period.
It connects Kasuga Kitadori in the south to Takano Higashibiraki-cho in the north.
To the south is a student town with many facilities affiliated with Kyoto University, including the Kyoto University Hospital.
The north is an area with many residential areas.
There is a famous sweets shop near the Hyakumanben intersection, which is right in the middle of the road.
