Join me as I take on the full La Vélomaritime – a breathtaking 1,500 km cycling route from Roscoff in Brittany to Bray-Dunes at the Belgian border.

This adventure follows France’s stunning northern coastline, offering spectacular scenery, charming towns, and unforgettable experiences.
For the first two weeks, I’m riding with my Irish partner, the next two on my own. I will be testing my brand-new Idworx oPinion eT. Will an e-bike make the journey more fun, or will I miss the raw challenge of traditional touring?

    Great video! I have health issues, but getting an e-bike was transformative for me – I've done so much touring since purchasing my lovely Dutch Gazelle 😃 Without it I definitely wouldn't have the ability to do 80km+ days on the road. You definitely still have to work hard though – I can't have it on a high assistance mode for long trips as the battery will run out! So sometimes it is even harder when you are in eco mode trying to conserve power – riding a super heavy bike up steep hills is very difficult 😆

    Hi Jessica, just for the record: you were already in Normandy when you walked to Mont Saint Michel. The river is the border with Brittany.

    I am from Germany and cycle along the Belgian and Dutch North Sea coasts every year in spring and fall. Part of my family lives in Bruges. That's where I always start from. I'm thinking about cycling the Velo Maritime. How did you get to Roscoff?
