1週間前、安定した日曜のトレーニングセッションのために東京の皇居へ向かいました。桜の満開が待ち遠しい時期ですが、標準的な周回を重ねるには絶好の天候でした。
1周5kmのコースを計5周完走し、一定のペースを維持することに集中しながら、澄み渡る東京のスカイラインを楽しみました。このルートは、適度な登りやスプリント、そしてTT(タイムトライアル)スタイルの追い込みも可能な、都内屈指のスポットです。時折、交通渋滞がひどいこともありますが。

One week ago, I headed to the Imperial Palace in Tokyo for a steady Sunday session. While we are all still waiting for the sakura blossoms to peak, the weather was excellent for some standard laps.
I completed 5 full laps of the standard 5 km loop, focusing on consistent pacing and enjoying the clear Tokyo skyline. This route remains one of the best spots in the city for it allows for some easy climbing, sprinting and TT style efforts. Traffic can suck at times though.

上り坂先の首都高との分岐のところ、隣車線を走るのはOKなんですかね?私も皇居良く走りますが、みなさん右車線行くけど道路の真ん中走るのは気が引けてしまい、路面指示通りに歩道に一旦入ってその先でまた車道に入っています。
