SKIP MOUNT FUJI And Come Here On Your Next Japan Trip #japan

Overtourism in Japan has resulted in many new rules and restrictions for tourist in popular destinations such as Mount Fuji, where DUAL PRICING will now cost foreigners more to visit…
But some parts of Japan can give you the same experience (if not better) without the crowds and lines! Such as Hakuba near Nagano ⛰️

How to get to Hakuba from Tokyo:
Ueno Station ➡️ Nagano Station (1h 20mins)
Nagano Stationa ➡️ Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal (1hr 5mins)

I had a relaxing stay at The Happo which had a hand held massager in each room and an onsen spa, not to mention, complimentary shuttle buses to Hakuba Hospitality Group Restaurants.

We also rented bicycles to explore Hakuba (bicycle rental was just a 5-minutes walk from the hotel) and went paddle boarding at Lake Aoki

  1. Mount Fuji is a symbol of Japan, but in terms of beauty, the mountains of the Japanese Alps in Nagano Prefecture are far more beautiful.

  2. Sorry but skipping Fuji-san is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. One reason locals skip Fuji. . . because they have been there dozens of times! For MANY people, Japan is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. DO NOT skip Fuji-san.

  3. Looks nice but I'd rather skip a swing with some mountain views for seeing the sunrise above tokyo from the highest point in japan…🗻
