I got that for 35 yuan a day in late February – early March earlier this year (right after the Chinese New Year )
Actually from 1990s to 2010s, Yangshuo is very popular among the foreign visitors, and that's why some of the local aunties or uncles can speak English in a bit. However, we have to admit that sometimes being too touristy/commercialized means convenience – and maybe losing some fun. However, the views in Yangshuo is 100% worth visiting, and I am planning to take my parents there for the second time now.
They call the mountains ⛰️ town ❤.
