Cycling Adventure in Kagoshima: Soba Breakfast, Coco Curry, and Views of Sakurajima!
Join me as I cycle through the beautiful river path and the streets of Kagoshima City, exploring its rich culture, delicious food, and stunning views!
Part 1: I kick off my cycling journey with a delicious breakfast of famous Kagoshima soba at Azumano Umegabuchi あずまの 梅ヶ渕店, highly recommended. The hearty meal sets the tone for the day, giving me the energy I need for the adventure ahead.
Part 2: After working up an appetite from cycling, it’s time for lunch at CoCo Ichibanya カレーハウス CoCo壱番屋 鹿児島天保山店! I enjoy a flavorful and filling vegetarian curry that’s the perfect mid-day refuel.
Part 3: I then cycle through the city, passing by charming shops and making a visit to a serene Zen temple Nishi-Hongwanji 浄土真宗本願寺派（西本願寺）本願寺 鹿児島別院. It’s a peaceful moment amidst the hustle and bustle, and I love soaking in the local culture. I also stroll through the shopping street, taking in the sights and sounds of Kagoshima’s lively market scene.
Part 4: To cap off the day, I hike up Shiroyama Park Observation Deck 城山公園展望台 for an epic view of Sakurajima and Kagoshima City. The panoramic vistas are breathtaking! After the hike, I treat myself to a refreshing matcha ice cream—an absolute must after a long day of cycling and exploring.
