2025 11 16 雪国EuroCross Test ride

2025/11/16に行われた雪国EuroCrossのテストライドの模様です

ライドイベント「Sunset Street in 柏崎」を主催している自転車大好きお兄さんアンディが、今度はシクロクロスのイベントを立ち上げます。
イベント名は「雪国EUROCROSS」。雪国・柏崎市内の山間部にある高柳地区を舞台に、本場ヨーロッパ流の「CROSS」＝ランもしっかり盛り込んだシクロクロスを目指しています。
開催場所は、農村リゾート・温泉施設「じょんのび村」とその周辺。施設には道の駅じょんのびの里高柳も含まれます。イベントは施設の協力を得て行われます。
プレイベントは2026年3月29日を予定しており、この動画の日はそのテストライドが行われました。
アンディと、同じくコースを考案中のアレックスにコースを一通り案内してもらい、その後に通しで走ってみました。
残念ながらアクションカムを回しっぱなしにしていたため、通しで走っている途中でバッテリー切れになってしまいましたが、テストライドの模様を動画にまとめました。
テストライドでは走り終えてから温泉に入りました。プレイベントでも温泉に入れる予定になっています。

Andy, the cycling enthusiast who organizes the “Sunset Street in Kashiwazaki” ride event, is now launching a cyclocross event.
The event is called “Yukiguni EUROCROSS” (Yukiguni means “snow country” in Japanese). Set in the Takayanagi district, a mountainous area within Kashiwazaki City—a snowy region of Japan—this event aims to bring authentic European-style “CROSS” to the area, complete with running sections that are a key feature of traditional cyclocross racing.
The venue will be “Jonnobi Village,” a rural resort and hot spring facility, and the surrounding area. This includes the roadside station “Jonnobi no Sato Takayanagi” (a rest stop with local products and amenities). The event is being held with the cooperation of these facilities.
A pre-event is scheduled for March 29, 2026, and the day captured in this video was a test ride for the course.
Andy and Alex, who is also involved in course design, gave us a full tour of the course, and then we rode through it completely.
Unfortunately, I left my action camera running continuously and the battery died partway through the full run, but I was able to put together this video of the test ride.
After the test ride, we enjoyed a relaxing soak in the hot spring. The pre-event will also include access to the hot springs.
