【長崎観光】日本で最も韓国に近い島「対馬」の北部がすごい。
good morning I’m now at a place called Manzeki Bridge. This is the only bridge connecting the north and south of Tsushima. It is an essential place for transportation in Tsushima. Manzeki Bridge is a bridge that connects Kamijima in the north of Tsushima and Shimojima in the south. This place was originally connected to land, In 1901, on the verge of the Russo-Japanese War The former Japanese Navy opened the excavation for the passage of torpedo boats. The current Manseki Bridge is in its third generation. Last time, I went sightseeing in the southern part of Tsushima as my first day. This time, as our second day, I will be sightseeing in the northern Tsushima. Let’s start the second day of Tsushima. I came to Nishi-no-koide in Kofunakoshi. This is the ruins of a port that was once used. This place is an ancient port used during the time of the Sui and Tang envoys. Once upon a time, entering Asou Bay from the Tsushima Strait had to detour around the island. Therefore, in order to transport it faster In the isthmus where the land becomes narrower The business of transporting ships by hand developed, and villages were formed. This remains the literal name of Funakoshi even today. It’s located in a slightly hidden place along the national highway. It’s so quiet I can’t believe it It is said that Tsushima is 90% forest. It’s nature that makes you feel that way. I really like this kind of place, it’s so calm. I’m at Akashima Ohashi Bridge. I came here because I heard that the emerald blue sea is beautiful. Among the seas in Tsushima, it has a particularly clear and beautiful impression. As you can see, it is a clear emerald blue sea. It’s so beautiful. Watatsumi Shrine is known for the story of Urashima Taro. A mysterious shrine that tells the legend of Dragon Palace. It is characterized by five torii gates lined up in a straight line. Two of them are floating in Asou Bay. Previously, the first torii gate collapsed due to a typhoon. Rebuilt with money raised through crowdfunding Fans of “Ghost of Tsushima” have also donated a lot of support. The torii that collapsed is currently being erected as a substitute torii within the shrine grounds. There are two three-pillar torii gates in the precincts, which are rare even in Japan. It’s high tide right now (The torii gate) looks like it’s floating beautifully in the sea. I’m now heading to Mt. Eboshidake, which is close to Watatsumi Shrine. Normally you can reach the summit of Mt. Eboshidake through this road. Currently undergoing disaster prevention work I can’t go there because the road is completely closed. On the other hand, there is a trailhead, so I think I’ll start climbing from there. As you can see, there is the entrance to the trailhead for Mt. Eboshi. However, (the mountain trail) is extremely steep. You need to be prepared. Normally you can go by car. The slope is quite steep, Climbing shoes are better. The ground is a bit gravelly and slippery. You should be especially careful when descending. Looks like we’ll be there soon There was also a rest area. I just got here. Harder than I had imagined. Just arrived! Arrived at Eboshidake Observatory What a wonderful view! A panoramic view. Truly a great panorama. It’s a wonderful view overlooking Asou Bay. I think it’s the most famous scenic spot in Tsushima. I’m glad you came So I climbed Mt. Eboshidake. Honestly, I think the hurdles to climb are high. It’s about 1km away, so it’s not that far. The slope is steep and the ground is gravel like pebbles. It’s slippery and a bit dangerous I think it would be difficult to climb unless you wear climbing shoes. But the observatory is still the best I’m glad I went. I was hungry after exercising I would like to go have lunch Anago-tei is one of Tsushima’s most popular restaurants and has been featured in the Michelin Guide. The “Kogane Anago” served at the store is Anago-tei’s own brand. Nigiri sushi, cutlet, tempura, sashimi, shirayaki, etc. You can enjoy a wide variety of dishes using conger eel. This time I had the special bamboo steamer. Special steamed steamer I’ve never had a box that I’m so excited to open. Highest Very nice scent (The sauce) stains the rice too. The fluffy and meaty conger eel is really delicious. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the conger eel. It’s super delicious Comes with coffee and shiratama dessert The staff was very attentive and I was very satisfied. This is a store you can’t miss when you come to Tsushima. At this Mehoro Dam Horse Park They raise Tsushima horses, which are native to Tsushima. You can also tour, feed, and try horseback riding. There are currently eight types of native horses in Japan. Among them, the number of Taishu horses is particularly small. This horse is so rare that it is threatened with extinction. The Taishu horse has a gentle personality, but it was used as a war horse during the Mongol invasion. Until around 1965, it was responsible for moving and transporting people on the island. It seems that it was an essential part of life. I experienced horseback riding at the horse park. It’s fun and recommended because you can experience horseback riding at an unbeatable price. The horse was cute too Tsushima Wildlife Conservation Center is operated by the Ministry of the Environment and Nagasaki Prefecture. It is a conservation facility for wild animals and plants. Admission is free, and there are exhibits about Tsushima’s ecosystem. You can also observe the Tsushima leopard cat. The Tsushima leopard cat is along with the Iriomote leopard cat. Classified on the Ministry of the Environment’s Red List The current population is said to be around 100. Both are subspecies of the Bengal wildcat, and they look similar. I learned that there are many surprising differences. Currently the 4th generation Kanata-kun You can view it through the one-way mirror He’s sleeping comfortably with his arms crossed. No matter where you go to tourist spots in Tsushima, you’ll have to climb a mountain. I think physical strength is necessary 😂 There are also remains of a gun battery left in Sasazaki Park. arrived at the lighthouse It’s an ocean I can see a pretty big ship on the horizon. There’s a telescope in just the right place on the side of the ship’s hull It says YANG MING. There are so many ships Amazing in the sea between Japan and Korea There’s a hell of a ship It almost looks like a trading ship. Something about the strength of the wind There is a tree that looks like TV Tokyo (Nanana) And here It is said to be the westernmost point of Japan. I came to the hill observatory where you can see foreign countries. 50 kilometers away I can’t believe Busan even exists. I’m lucky and the weather is nice today Korea looks amazing. There are binoculars that can be viewed for free. If you take a look at this I can see (South Korea) quite clearly. I can see it The mountain ridgeline (in South Korea) is clearly visible. I can see a row of buildings that look like buildings. It was really sunny today I came to Korea Observatory It looks like it’s been renovated and it’s really nice. The binoculars are made by Nikon and are very easy to see. It’s clear and sunny, but I can’t see South Korea anymore. Next to the Korea Observatory is the remains of the Toyo Battery. I would like to go It says it’s a 20 minute walk, so I guess I’ll just have to try my best. Tourist spots in Tsushima It all feels like climbing a mountain. That’s part of the fun part, though. There are some very dangerous slopes like this. I arrived. It’s located somewhere like this. It took about 15 minutes to walk from the Korea Observatory. I was mistaken, The Toyo Battery ruins are located right next to the Korea Observatory. The view was from above the facility rather than inside the facility. Because you enter the facility from a different location Walked for about 20 minutes on a slightly dangerous mountain path. There’s not much to see, so be careful. I came to the Toyota Battery ruins again. I’m going to go inside the atmosphere that looks like it’s going to be crazy. Press the switch next to it Lights up for 30 minutes My heart rises just by entering. Battery powerhouse My voice reverberates. There’s something that looks like a hook on the ceiling. I think that’s how they hung the machine. It definitely has a dungeon feel to it. I like here. If you go here, you’ll come out next to the entrance. There are traces of camouflage paint left on the exterior walls. You can clearly see that this facility was built in preparation for war. Toyota Battery was built over a period of five years starting in 1927. These are the remains that tell us that Tsushima was the front line of national defense. The concrete in this turret is designed to withstand bombing. It is 3 meters thick. The main guns that were decommissioned by the Disarmament Conference were transferred to the ship. At the time, it was said to be the largest artillery battery in the world. In practice, I never fired it. It is said to be a “battery that never fires” A city on the Sea of Japan during World War II There was no damage caused by naval gunfire. It is said that this is due to the deterrent power of Tsushima as a fortress. The tree growing out of the broken wall is also very atmospheric. Today I came to the guest house Nishidomari where I was staying. Masaru Hita has a different atmosphere than Izuhara. The shared washroom is also very clean. This is what the room we will be staying in today looks like Tsushima’s famous “Tonchan” It is Miso flavored pork. Awesome! When you think of Yakiniku, you think of cold noodles. good morning I’m currently at a place called Norito Shrine. This is a shrine in Hitakatsu Port. It is a shrine with a beautiful view overlooking Hitakatsu Port. The car is parked at the foot of the stairs. This is the guesthouse Nishidomari where I stayed yesterday. The accommodation was so comfortable that I felt like I was staying at my parents’ home. Today, my last day, I will take the afternoon ferry home. Until then, I want to enjoy it until the end. Let’s start the third day of Tsushima. There was a snake Arrived at Nishidomari Beach It’s within walking distance from Minshuku Nishidomari. There’s no one there, so it’s like a private beach. It’s extremely comfortable The sea is highly transparent this gentle wave It’s really nice I came to Miuda Beach, which was selected as one of Japan’s top 100 beaches. This is a famous beach in the northern part of Tsushima. It’s a popular tourist spot The sea is beautiful Extremely transparent The calmness of these waves The high degree of transparency of the sea It’s pretty amazing and a mountain near here This location is quite a beach Isn’t it the best spot? Hitakatsu’s Toyoko Inn is over there. It’s located in a place overlooking Miuda Beach. I came to Toyoko Inn Hitakatsu There is a horse stable next to the Toyoko Inn here. You can see Taishu horses. Toyoko Inn, which has horses, is not available here in Japan. It’s quite rare, isn’t it? I had a tour of the stables. The male horse of Taishu is Satohiro. Are the Taishu horses scheduled to come to Toyoko Inn and are there all these stalls? Trainer: We are planning to take one more dog. Thank you very much I enjoyed it Tsushima City is renting out the Tsushima horse as part of its efforts to attract Korean tourists. You can also see the Taishu horses at Toyoko Inn, which is really cool. I enjoyed it I arrived at the domestic terminal at Hitakatsu Port. The inside of the terminal is also new and clean. The boat “Umiterashi” that goes between Hidakatsu and Hakata. Looks like it’s being prepared now The ferry connecting Tsushima and Busan is just leaving. The ferry to Busan and the ferry to Hakata are co-located. It’s good timing This is what Hitakatsu Port looks like A town has been built surrounding the port. I arrived at the international terminal of Hitakatsu Port. There’s also a small souvenir shop. There is a rest space on the second floor that overlooks Hitakatsu Port. Hitakatsu Port has a domestic terminal and an international terminal. Located on the opposite side of the port This area is just a short walk after exiting the international flight. It will be in the central area of Hitakatsu town. This area is the central area of Hitakatsu town. Seafood Don I had lunch at Sushidokoro Shinichi. It was really delicious. It’s a popular store, so there were people lining up even before it opened. It was a good decision to come before the store opened. I’m going to take the ferry home now. The ferry I ride is a nuclear power plant. I would like to take a final drive from Hitakatsu to Izuhara. On the way back, I passed through Funashi’s Momiji Kaido in Kamitsushima. This place is covered in clusters of maples and maples along a 7km stretch of the river. Known as a scenic spot for autumn leaves There are parks along the way where you can stroll. It was a very pleasant place just to drive. Said to be the oldest ginkgo in Japan I came to Koto’s large ginkgo tree. It’s too big to fit on the screen I was on my way home so I stopped by. From Hitakatsu in the north after crossing Manseki Bridge I returned to Izuhara in the south. After all, the northern part is quite far away. It takes about an hour to get here. I returned to the Izuhara ferry terminal. The return ferry “Kizuna” has arrived. I enjoyed Tsushima for 3 days and 2 nights. Tsushima is a place where you can enjoy history, nature, and delicious food. It was the best island It was much better than I imagined and a place I would like to go to again. Thank you for watching till the end I’ll take that ride back to Hakata. There was just a fireworks festival going on at Hakata Port.
