Hi everyone. I’m here downtown to show you our new signs about our new biking ordinance. Don’t use anything with wheels on the sidewalks downtown. Walk it, don’t ride it, and be safe.

In this Mondays with the Mayor, Mayor Elizabeth Fagan shows you the new signs that are up throughout our downtown reminding you of our ordinance that prohibits riding bikes or scooters on sidewalks in the Central Business District. This is both for pedestrian and cyclist safety. We encourage parents to remind their kids to walk their bikes and scooters on downtown sidewalks. And, as a reminder, no e-bikes or e-scooters are allowed on sidewalks anywhere in the city. We have lots more bike safety info at https://www.cityofsummit.org/bikesafety.
