【長野旅】軽井沢|上田|念願のブックカフェ|看板犬かわいい|2泊3日|大塚のパグに会いに行く

I spent three days and two nights in Nagano. I departed from Tokyo by Shinkansen . The journey from Tokyo to Nagano took about an hour. The scenery gradually became more rural, which was fun, and I arrived in no time. There’s a large outlet mall in front of Karuizawa Station. I stopped off at the food court to fill my stomach. I was curious about the maitake mushroom truffle burger, so I decided to try it. The cheeseburger and maitake mushroom truffle burger had an amazing aroma . The truffle aroma and the teriyaki-like sauce went perfectly together, making it delicious. The bun was a panini, so it was filling . It was very spacious, and I saw many people with their dogs. I returned to Karuizawa Station and took a stroll around Old Karuizawa on the other side. The mushrooms were so cute ! I went to the Karuizawa Contemporary Art Museum. There were so many books! There were many by Atsuhiro Yoshida. There was also an exhibit I wanted, and I was allowed to take photos of it. It looked like an oil painting based on a ship’s signal flag. There was a French bulldog! It was huge! Your butt is so cute ❤️ This was fun! Heading back to Old Karuizawa again ! A unique shop 👀. Arrived in Old Karuizawa. It was a weekday afternoon, so it wasn’t crowded, which was nice. They picked me up at Karuizawa Station and we arrived at the hotel. I’m staying at Hotel Wellies today. I’ll be giving a room tour . The interior is cute, and the wallpaper is lovely. It’s so uplifting! The view of the greenery is gorgeous. The bathroom has lovely tiles, and there’s a bathrobe. The garden is lovely, too. I’ll have welcome tea and scones . It feels like I’m overseas. I chat about silly things while having tea with my mother. I go out to eat with her about three times a month, but this is our first trip together. Looking for dinner, I headed out for a walk. I went to a soba restaurant . I love the walls. I ordered duck soba. It’s been a while since I’ve had duck, and it was delicious. It was a zaru (seaweed) style, but the broth was warm. I bought dessert at a Western-style pastry shop in Old Karuizawa. It’s called Napoleon, and it’s like a mille-feuille with strawberries on top. It was delicious . It rained from the morning on the second day, so I got up early and headed to the bakery. 01 Bakery opens at 7:00, which is nice. I was hungry and wanted to eat on the terrace, but it was raining and cold, so I headed back to the hotel. There were no convenience stores around here. Traveling helps me understand what I want in a home. Things like, “I’d like a view of the greenery from the window,” ” I want a quiet room, so it has to be reinforced concrete,” or “I’d like to have a bed, but it has to be spacious.” I’m pretty particular about my room. ☺️ My mom and I shared four different kinds of bread. My favorite is the cream bun. Naka gave me a ride to Karuizawa Station. Since the Shinano Railway doesn’t accept IC cards, I had to buy a ticket. Ueda was my main destination on this trip. We came to Ueda for the Loppis Ueda event . There were multiple venues. First, I headed to the KOKAGE area, the closest to the station. I had Khao Man Gai! It was amazing! This area had a wide variety of restaurants. My second breakfast at 10:00, lol. If there was Khao Man Gai, I’d definitely eat it. The chicken was tender and delicious. There were also many handmade shops. A wooden bead accessory shop. It was poppy and cute. I walked up the hill to my next venue, arriving at my destination, NABO! NABO is a book cafe I’ve always wanted to go to. There were a lot of families with children in this area. It seemed like the rain had stopped. They sell steamed buns, coffee, books…all sorts of things. There’s something I want to buy at NABO : freshly fried French crullers! There was a 30-minute wait after I ordered, so I browsed through the books while I waited. Just seeing so many books is exciting! There’s even a second floor! It feels like an attic. If it was closer to me, I’d definitely go there ! The French crullers arrived! They had lemon and rum flavors . The lemon was refreshing, while the rum had a hint of alcohol, making it a more mature taste. It had holes in it, so it had zero calories. There was another bookstore nearby, this one with a lot of manga . I walked to the MAIN area . I met this book bus a few years ago in Shimokitazawa. It was an emotional reunion. The MAIN area has the most stores. I headed to the next area through the shopping arcade. Apparently they also have lodging here. I arrived in the UNNO area. I feel like I’ve walked quite a bit. There are many restaurants here. I found muffins! They looked delicious, so I bought four of them. On to the next area. Is this the Yard? I actually went around to all of them to collect these stamps. I baked bread, lol. I missed one because I was closed, but I got all the others . I received a book-shaped notebook as a prize from the stamp rally at Kotobaya. I found a stamp with a great atmosphere ! Apparently, this stamp was carved by Kotobaya . The streetscape is charming. The willow trees are beautiful. I love rivers. I took a break at Tully’s in front of Ueda Station . It’s comforting to visit a familiar chain restaurant when traveling. Oyako and I had a great time talking about our favorite idols. We then headed to Shigeno Station. The hotel staff came to pick us up in their car. Goosuke drove us home. I’d heard the carp dishes were delicious, so I ordered carp risotto and an unusual pasta dish . I had the thickest ginger juice I’ve ever had in my life . It was a strange drink, cold yet warming. The delicious salad arrived. It was filled with a bunch of unfamiliar vegetables, and it was so much fun to eat, wondering what they were. Carp and egg mushroom risotto, a gnocchi-like pasta with pumpkin and greens? This pasta tasted similar to peperoncino. The risotto had a strong mushroom flavor, and I could also taste the bonito flakes. The carp was light and easy to eat. The Shinshu pork was also delicious. There was also dessert, but I forgot to take a picture (lol). Today’s room tour of the inn. The first floor of the house is the guest room, and the second floor seems to be the owner and his wife’s residence. This bed was perfect, as I slept soundly. The bathroom is spacious, so even families can use it. It’s also nice to relax in the lounge. The owner and his wife prepare breakfast . This view is luxurious every day. For dessert, we had Shine Muscat grapes from Nagano. Luxurious! Apparently they were harvested nearby. We went for a walk with Luna, the mascot dog . I wanted to see the beautiful rice terraces! There are many mountains lined up . Our trip is almost over. Komoro Station . Back to Karuizawa . I bought some souvenirs and boarded the Shinkansen. I had muffins for lunch. I also bought some salty ones. The peach and cream cheese muffins were delicious. Are we going home already? It’s early, so I’ll make a detour. Otsuka Station. A customer, Moi the pug, couldn’t wait to hear that the mascot pug was working today. The back of his head is so cute. The flesh on his neck is amazing ☺️Thank you for coming ☺️Ah , so cute! His little teeth are so cute too . Thank you for the close-up 🥰 I’m having some apple juice . Winnie, the mascot dog, is a customer, Yume-chan the pug. Petite and beautiful Yume-chan 😍 Winnie followed him . His tail is so cute . Winnie is so cute. I’ll come again!
