How much I eat in a day to cycle 140km across Japan! (a LOT)

This is how much I have to eat in a day to cycle 140 km across Japan. The goal for today is to push around 85 miles from Sapo to Asahikawa. But before leaving, there’s no way I was going to depart without stopping for one final bowl of Sapo’s miso butter corn rum. This one was on the more premium side with a branded egg and plenty of meat and toppings to complement the rich, salty, and tangy miso broth. As I got rolling, a good majority of the morning was spent making my way out of the city. But once I did, it was pretty much farmlands from here on out. But eventually, I stopped by this very geometric yellow house in the middle of nowhere for some lunch. The inside of this place was super homey and was giving some small town vibes. And their menu was handwritten and simple with pretty much two core items. I decided to go with their sauce cutlet doi where the pork cutlet was super juicy and had a freshly fried crispiness despite being coated in that sweet and tangy katu sauce. It also came with a little bit of this spicy mustard which added a nice little bite to keep things fresh. As it kept moving, the rest of the afternoon was textbook Hokkaido cycling. massive, massive stretches of wide open farmlands and plenty of passings through small rural villages. So, in one that I passed through, despite not seeing a single other soul, I made a stop at this restaurant that was just opening up. Here, you can order all you can eat chicken wings and soft drinks for about 13 bucks as long as you supplement it with at least two other sides. So, I decided to start things out with a light 30 of their sauce, salt, and spicy variants with a little bit of kimchi and fried octopus as the sides. These kids came fresh out of the fryer and were really nice and plump. If this shop was in my neighborhood back home, my waistline would be in deep, deep trouble. Then, as the sun was setting, I finished making my way into a Sahikawa and found this burger restaurant that was loaded up with some super interesting items. But, I went with this Hokkaido Wagu smash burger that was absolutely decadent with some Gouda, red cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses, and a nice little fatty double stack of Wagyu beef patties. Then, to balance this meal out, I also ordered it with a fluffy little stack of these pancakes that had some walnuts and a berry See you guys tomorrow.

This is everything I eat in a day on my bikepacking trip across Japan! Today, we travelled from Sapporo to Asahahikawa!

  1. Why don't you use your platform to speak about the genocide in Palestine? You have a big platform and could make a difference, I love your videos but I think anyone with some influence should be highlighting what is going on because thousands of civilians are being murdered there

  2. I often wonder how those restaurants in such desolate places survive. The food they serve always looks incredible.

  3. This series is why im also going to make a series when i start earning about quitting my job temporarily to cycle across japan

  4. Wow, loving this short and now I find out there is a whole series to catch up on. Japan looks amazing.

I've just finished cycling around the complete coastline of Sardinia and for a foodie, I'd fully recommend it. Hopefully I'll have a video of it on my channel soon.

  7. Whoevers reading this, Jesus Christ is real and king. He died on the cross for our sins and we must acknowledge that. Lastly, remember to live for his word.
