注意!AKASO360とDJImic3の再生速度が違うぞ!
Hello. Today, I’m preparing for a verification experiment. I recently bought this DJI Mic 3. I also bought this AKASO360, this 360° camera. I’ve started using these two devices. And, I noticed something a little strange. ;
The audio files recorded with the DJI Mic 3 and the video files recorded with the AKASO360 seem to play at slightly different speeds on my computer. Even when I sync them up at the beginning, the audio gets out of sync over time. So, I’m going to record the same audio source simultaneously using some gadgets I own, and then line up all the files created by each gadget in audio editing software on my computer to see if there’s any lag. Okay. First, I’ll start recording with my smartphone. Mic 3, start recording. AKASO360, yes. start recording. Action cam, yes. Start recording. So, this is fine. Okay, let’s go. Okay. Where’s the microphone? This? Oh well. (Time warp…) I imported files. Um, so, this software is called Audacity, I think? It’s an audio editing software. And, the one at the top here is DJI mic3. Below that is this strange action cam. Next is AKASO360. And below that is AQUOS. This is the one I recorded with my smartphone. And finally, the Sony Alpha, um, the one I’m recording right now. This is it. Um, the last one, this Alpha, seems to have a bad microphone connection, so there’s a ton of noise, so um, I’ve turned the volume down quite a bit. So, um, I tuned it all in. I adjusted everything to where the sound was coming in, and um, I’ve recorded about 15 minutes in total. Um, let’s play it. Let’s play them all at once. Something like that. All five audio files, 1, 2, 3 , 4, and 5, are playing simultaneously. For now, the metronome sounds like one sound. So, if this continues… Let’s jump ahead a bit. This is the two-minute mark. Just past the two-minute mark. Oh, they’re already out of sync. It sounds like two sounds. You can mute each one individually, so first, mute mic 3, and nothing changes. Unmute this, then mute the action cam. Well, there are still two sounds. This one’s playing three sounds now. Muting the action cam makes it two. And next, AKASO360. Muting this makes it one. So, these two sounds are out of sync. That’s for sure. Let’s go a little further. Right now, we’re past the three-minute mark, about five minutes in. That’s about the five-minute mark. For now, there’s just one sound. AKASO360 is muted now. I’ll unmute it. Okay. Okay, one more sound has been added. I’ll also unmute this action cam. Okay, three sounds now. So, the four sounds now are this, this, and the other one—oh, not four, three. There are three, bang-tat-tat, bang-tat-tat— this action cam, then AKASO360, and the other ones. There are three other ones, but these three are not out of sync. It’s obvious, isn’t it? If I mute these two, see, they’re all in sync. The interesting thing about this software is, you can also change the pan, so, um, what’s set up now is the DJI mic3. This to the left all. The AKASO360 to the right all. And the smartphone to the left. The Alpha to the left too. See, they’re completely out of sync. Only the AKASO360 is to the right. Now I’ll mute the AKASO360. That’s how it works. Can you see it when you put it in 360? Zoom in a bit. See, the right side is completely ahead, right? The one on the right is the AKASO360. The others are panning to the left. Yes. This is the culprit. Well, it’s not really a culprit,
it’s a majority vote. By majority vote, this one is fast. Oh, by the way, this cheap action cam is actually slow. Yes. So, on the other hand, the playback is a little slow. So, the conclusion is clear. It’s not the slow playback of the DJI mic3, as I initially suspected, but rather the AKASO360’s playback speed is a little too fast, I think. So, when I superimposed the sounds, the two sounds gradually became out of sync. AKASO, can you somehow address this with a firmware update? But first, AKASO, please verify this in-house, not just relying on my shoddy experiment results. Please. Is the playback speed correct? Oh, maybe it’s the recording speed. I’ll give you my conclusion once more. This Sharp AQUOS, the DJI Mic 3, and the Sony α57, all three matched in speed. The AKASO360 didn’t. (Except for the odd action camera) This is the only one that’s off. These are the results of my experiment. I’ll report it for now. Please take action. That’s all. Yes. Goodbye. I’m counting on you, AKASO.
