日本を自転車で横断するために1日にどれだけ食べるか!🇯🇵🍜
This is everything I eat in a day to cycle across Japan. The plan for today is to crank out about 62 miles from Ichinoi to Morioa. So, before making too much progress, I pulled over to this little roadside ramen shop for some breakfast. There’s something about the vibes in this place that were absolutely impeccable. Here, they struck the perfect balance between care and efficiency. The food itself was elite and they gave me a ladleized spoon. Here, they specialize in creations using their local green onions. So, I got a miso green onion ramen with roast pork and also a green onion rice bowl on the side. This is miso broth, so it was a little bit salty and tangy and was infused with a little bit of sesame seeds and oil. Also, the shop advises that you load up on the garlic, so I did so as well. The crazy thing about this place is when you pay, it’s just based on the honor system. You leave your money and give yourself the correct amount of change. As I was heading out, one of the lovely ladies working there gave me the drink that she packed for her break to help fuel my journey, and another came outside to bid me farewell. As I got moving, today’s route was pretty much all alongside some big highways with a little bit of rural dirt roads that eventually led me to this 60s era canteen with a massive dining area, especially considering the size of this town. I ordered up this guoza set that had the crispiest bottoms I’ve ever had, and they were super tiny, so you could pop a couple of them at a time. I honestly wish I got more. So, to make up for that mistake, I ordered this absolute unit of an ice cream cone. I started off by just dogging that boy down, but I saw some of the other customers using chopsticks to approach this beast, so I decided to do the same. Slightly unconventional, but the ice cream was thick enough that it worked pretty well. And it honestly makes you savor it a little bit more. Still got a brain freeze, though. As I kept on cranking, I eventually made my way to some quieter roads, which led me all the way into Morioa, where I was able to check into my hotel that ran me about 40 bucks a night, and then made the stop that I was most excited for. this little New York Citystyle shop that was run by a dude who spent some time working in the city at pizza shops. And I was lucky enough to get their last slice of the day, which was super super classic and tastes exactly like it does back in the States. And what’s even crazier is they also had halal plates. So I was able to get some chicken over rice with the white and red sauce. And it all tasted exactly like it does back in New York. See you guys tomorrow.

don't let the dirty immigrants ruin this majestic nation❤
Maybe this is a dumb question. I haven't followed your channel super long, but you don't have a lot of luggage so, do you buy what you need over there? And your clothes?
japan has awesome foods 😲
I'd love a kind of travellers guide to this trip in japan including prices!
Giving you a gift that she intentionally packed for herself is so generous and kind! I love the wide array of people who you've met along your journey!

Your trip brings back so many memories of when I toured heavily in the 1970’s, when I was in my 20’s. Well, close to being in my 30’s – 😂. I have lived vicariously through you during this time. Thanks for sharing your trip and making memories that you’ll never forget and how you’ve made me remember mine! ❤❤
