🇯🇵 廃村を自転車で探訪 (福井県道34号) 籠掛・蒲沢・尾緩・西青 福井県池田町 July 2025 [4K]
福井県道 34号松ケ谷宝慶寺大野線沿いを自転車で辿り、廃村である籠掛・蒲沢・尾緩・西青を探訪し、折り返すルートを記録したものです。
この地域では現在、足羽川（部子川）にて洪水調節専用の「足羽川ダム」が建設中であり、普段は水を貯めない流水型ダムとして、日本最大級の洪水調整能力を持つ構造になる見込みです。 この工事に伴い、従来路線は一部水没または通行不能になったため、迂回路や付替道路が整備されつつあります。山間にあった美しい山村風景は醜い巨大な人工物に取って代わり、従来のルートが緩やかな登りであったのに対して、新しく設置された迂回路は非常な急坂になったため、あまり楽しめないルートになってしまいました。
この宝慶寺線沿いには日本の滝百選にも選ばれた龍双ヶ滝があり、そこにはかなりの多くの人々が訪れている一方で、支流にたくさん存在している廃集落に訪れる人はだれもいません。この動画では、籠掛・蒲沢・尾緩・西青の4つの廃集落を目指しながら、変わりゆく道筋と、かつては人で賑わっていた山間風景を映し出します。
This video records a route to abandoned villages in Ikeda Cho: Kagokake, Gamasawa, Odarumi, & Nishiao, following Fukui Prefecture Route 34 “Matsugatani – Hōkyoiji – Ōno Line” by bicycle.
In this region, a flood-control–only “Asuwagawa Dam” is currently under construction on the Asuwa River (Bekogawa branch). The dam is designed as a “flow-through” type, meaning it normally stores little to no water, and is intended to have one of Japan’s largest flood regulation capacities. Due to this construction, parts of the original road have been submerged or become impassable, so detour routes and replacement roads are being constructed. What was once a beautiful mountain village scenery has been replaced by ugly, massive artificial structures. Compared to the original gentle slopes, the new bypass route includes extremely steep climbs, making the ride much less enjoyable.
Along this Hōkyoiji Line lies Ryūsōga Falls, selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls. Many people visit the falls, yet almost no one ventures to the many abandoned villages on its tributaries. In this video, we aim for the four abandoned villages of Kagokake, Gamazawa, Odarumi, and Nishiao, while showing the changing road routes and the once-lively mountain landscapes that people once inhabited.
