【烏干達】跨越邊境,被邊境官要錢後,我走到了尼羅河的源頭

I was just at the customs officer, and he asked me for $15, but I refused. Now I’m at the source of the Nile River. The river is 6,400 kilometers long and flows through more than a dozen countries. I heard it takes three months to reach Egypt. In other words, if I jump in here now, I’ll be in Egypt in three months . Hello everyone ! We’re heading to the Kenya-Uganda border today. I heard the border official up ahead is incredibly corrupt and easily scams people like us. We don’t know if we can get through for free this time , so let’s go without paying . Wow, this motorcycle and umbrella are super cool ! Oh, this border is a bit dangerous. That black guy up ahead said he’d be our guide. I’m afraid he might ask for money. This is clearly an Evergreen container, as it’s the only one green. The border is also crowded, and it feels like we can just pass through casually. But this black guy insisted on taking us. I think he ‘ll really ask for money. Come with me. Why are we giving you $20? $20. Why is that a service fee for entering Uganda? It’s a service fee to get you there. It’s okay. We can come on our own. No
, we’re just trying to help (scam you) so you can enter Uganda more smoothly. And then what? Once you enter … After crossing the border, you will give me $20 x3. I don’t have US dollars , so I can come by myself. You can give me Kenyan shillings. He is dressed like this and has a badge on him. I don’t know if he is a border guard. If he is, he would have been inside a long time ago. Yes , he might be like this… His job is to specifically cheat tourists . I will help you and then charge a $20 service fee. They really like the conical hats. Everyone wants to touch them when they see them. But the officer at this window was kind enough to tell us that there is no need to pay. Temporary vehicle exit certificates can be provided here for free. Fortunately, we were not cheated. We just saved $20 and are now heading to the Ugandan border. Why do I feel that the people of these two countries are like shopping in a vegetable market when crossing the border. There are people everywhere. Wow, the black guy who wanted to make $20 is still here. After checking the yellow fever vaccine, I went to queue up, but I didn’t expect that the black guy who touched my conical hat just now dug another one. I was tricked. They suddenly asked me to walk through the long queue and come to the border customs window. I thought they were very nice and told me not to queue. Later I realized that I had overthought. Seven hours later, it was already 5 pm and we had been here for seven hours. Their efficiency is really ridiculously slow. I was just at the customs (border officer) and he asked me for $15 but I didn’t give it to him , so I went out to queue . While I was waiting in the queue, their inspector said he wanted to check my luggage, so I moved all my luggage to the small room for him to check. After that, I went back to queue. But I went back and queued obediently. The male customs officer still didn’t let me go. I kept making things difficult for me and asked me for money . I ignored him and went directly to the window next to me to apply for a visa. It went smoothly. Everything went smoothly . He didn’t ask me for money. After I was done, I thought it was over when I came out, but the person who helped me process it ran out and told me to go back. I went to find the male colleague who was supposed to help me with the process. I thought, ” I’ve already got the visa and passport, so why should I go back?” So I ignored him. Then at the border , many black guys will come up to you and tell you to follow them and they will help you with the fast clearance, or sell you insurance. But don’t trust them easily. The prices they quote are super expensive. To ride a motorcycle in East Africa , you can buy a yellow card , which is valid in all East African countries. The price we buy for one person is US$50 for six months. If you only buy for a single country, it ‘s super expensive. When buying these insurances, you must keep your eyes open and carefully distinguish them. Some people sell you insurance that is not real. It’s just a piece of paper. It hasn’t even been entered into the system. It’s a fake scam. Only the insurance that can be checked in the system is valid. This guy brought this copy and told us that it had been done, and then kept asking me to scan this QR code. The code will display an insurance policy. Indeed, there was an insurance policy when I scanned it , but anyone can forge one. So I found a way online to confirm whether it was a genuine policy. I went to their official website and followed their steps to confirm whether the policy was genuine. The result showed that there was no information about the vehicle , so it was a fake policy. Afterwards, we bought insurance from another insurance company. It was almost 7 o’clock now, and we could finally go to Uganda. There were so many trucks here , ready to go to Kenya . There were obviously fewer people on the Ugandan side than on the Kenyan side. It felt less busy here. It was an Evergreen container ship . These days, it’s really common to see Evergreen container ships arriving at the accommodation. The service here is very good. They will even carry your luggage for you. The next morning at the hotel. There is also a free breakfast, which looks good, but you see, it actually contains milk. He gave me a full cup of hot milk, and then there is this tea bag. He should be making milk tea for me. This is the first time I have seen this way of making milk tea. He gave us a tea bag and milk , and then you see, he gave us a lot of sugar . Are they trying to make me die of sweetness? A few minutes later, it was still a sunny day today , but because I changed into a thin coat , I didn’t get sunburned and it wasn’t too hot. The temperature was just right and quite cool. I think the roads in Uganda are very straight. The road we are riding now stretches to the end , but in Uganda it’s the same. Many drivers like to overtake. It seems that there is no right of priority to use the road here. If you want to overtake, the oncoming (car) will squeeze past you. Now we are stopping at the side of the road to rest. Every time we stop by the roadside , a group of black kids will gather around us. No matter young or old, they will come to watch us. We feel like we are seeing rare animals. I just happen to have a biscuit here , so I will share it with these kids. Can you share it with your friends ? They are very fair. One for each of us. Bye. After enough rest, it is time to set off. I rode to one of their towns. I found that the towns in Uganda are really not as lively as those in Kenya . There are not many people and vendors. These two cows are really leisurely crossing the road. Haha , to be honest, the road conditions in Uganda are obviously much better than those in Kenya. The road is also straighter and easier to ride (walking God Ancestor brand) . I am almost out of gas again . Let’s go fill up the gas. Hello, can I pay with a credit card? Credit card? Yes , no. Okay , thank you . But this one does n’t have I can only go to another store that accepts credit cards . Can I pay with a credit card? Credit card? Yes, no. Okay, thank you. It turns out this store doesn’t accept credit cards either . It seems credit cards are really not very popular in this country . Hello, can I pay with a credit card? MasterCard, MasterCard? Yes , yes, is that okay? Let me try it . Okay x3. He said he wanted to try it. He wasn’t sure if his machine would work. Is that okay? Yes. I did n’t expect him to force me to get out of the car before I could refuel here. I told him that it was too much and he could leave it for me (tip). No x5. Three thousand yuan is too much. Bring some cash back. What are you going to do? I want food , food? Yes,
you can make money yourself. Wow, this black guy came over to me and asked for money while I was refueling. There are really people asking for money everywhere. I’d better leave quickly. It’s better. Black guys don’t wear helmets when riding motorcycles. If we Asians ride without helmets, we will most likely be stopped by the police and fined. I have a feeling that the closer you get to the capital, the better the roads are . The towns are also larger. I rode the motorcycle and found that there was no power. Later we opened the cover on the battery side and found that the nut was missing. No wonder there was no power. Now we can close it slightly to generate electricity. Let ‘s go to the hardware store to buy some nuts (slip of the tongue). I didn’t expect that the motorcycle would have a problem as soon as I arrived in Jinja, the second largest city. But fortunately, it was just a nut that fell off. Now I’m going to the most famous attraction here, the source of the Nile. By the way, look at this second largest city in Jinja. Their street lights are actually solar-powered, unlike other cities. Compared to the city , it’s really much more advanced. Oh, we’re at the intersection. Wow, I have to pay for this. Wow, the entrance fee is ten dollars. Hey, how much did you just pay? I paid 50,000 (Ugandan shillings) in total. They should have originally paid 60,000 (Ugandan shillings) for two people. If you bargain with them shamelessly, you will definitely get a deal. Otherwise, just say you don’t want to go in. Awesome, awesome! Now I’m at the source of the Nile. These lakes come from Lake Victoria. Without these lakes, Egypt would be barren today. This river is 6,400 kilometers long and flows through more than a dozen countries. I heard it takes three months to reach Egypt. In other words, if I jump in from here now and float for three months, I will reach Egypt. After seeing the source of the Nile, we will head to Kampala, the capital of Uganda . Let’s continue. Let’s go. The (bridge) we are crossing now is the first bridge on the Nile . The next time I cross the Nile, I should be in Egypt.

雖然進入這個國家的第一感覺很不好,但看到美麗的景色,我不後悔到烏干達。
