ブリティッシュコロンビア州レヴェルストークのMTBトレイル トップ10

[Music] the skinny way up here. Look at that. Revel Stoke is one of my favorite all-time places to mountain bike ride in British Columbia. The cool, funky, small town outdoor activity vibe in Revel Stoke is outstanding, making a very enjoyable place to spend a few days. As you can see from this weather graph, the best time of the year to ride Reveloke is in the summer months of July through September. While many of their trails are at lower elevations near town, you’ll also note that Frisbee, Keystone, and Martha Creek rides are high up in the mountain alpine regions at significant elevations as shown by the elevation profiles of the Martha Creek Trail. So, you need to recognize that while you can probably start riding at lower elevations in May, the higher elevation trails will have a shorter ride season, typically starting around mid July. The trails high up in the alpine will also have long climbs to access the top of the trail and so generally involve a full day commitment. So now here’s my list of the top 10 mountain bike trails in Revel Stoke. You’ll also notice that the list includes four black expert level trails and six intermediate trails. I’ve also provided a trail type descriptor whether the trails flowy, scenic, or technical. From the brief trail videos and descriptions to follow, you can decide for yourself whether these trails are suitable for you and your group. I would also strongly recommend that if you make a big road trip visit to Revel Stoke, then you should also choose a time frame where you can ride some of these epic alpine trails. For the ride plan, I would start with the trails on Mount McFersonen. This region has mostly intermediate trails and is a good place to warm up your trip with some moderate clims. So, I am a little cautious. Oh, cool. This is new. Here you can ride the TNT, Burm Donor, and Flowown trails. This is a great rip. maybe four years. Each trail is characterized as smooth burmy flow trails with a burm donor trail also offering the best scenic segment of the rebel stoope valley below. Yeah, this is such a great rip. I believe the Flow Down and Burm donor trails are some of the most popular trails in Revel Stoke. Nice. Oh yeah, I remember this the last time following a couple of little kids across this. Very cool. So fun. So fun. I would then look to the Boulder Mountain region to ride more flowy Burmy trails such as man quads and logging leftovers, but also a couple of spicy, much deeper and technically demanding gravy bacon and boondocker trails. Heat. Heat. Gravy Bacon is a number of optional jump ramps to challenge skilled riders. Yeah, that gap was about my limit. Boond doctor is best characterized as a continuous steep gnarly shoot. Thanks Boondocker ends at the detention center while you find some very cool optional wood jump features that you might want to session a number of times, but have a good look before you leave. For Keystone, it’s best to shuttle up the Forester Road to the parking lot at the top of the mountain. It starts with a very steep, brief climb, which might be a hike a bike for some, but you’ll be rewarded with an outstanding cross-country trail through the mountain meadow at the top. There are outstanding views throughout this entire alpine segment. The entire trail is 22 km as an outback ride, including a cumulative climb and descent of 760 m. So, makes for a very big day, and be sure to take plenty of water and snacks for a 4 to 5 hour ride. [Applause] And so for Martha Creek, we will again shuttle to the top of the mountain. Martha Creek is one massive downhill trail. The trail will descend 1,500 m over its 9.3 km length for an average gradient of 16%. The trail will begin with a long segment through the high alpine meadows, offering excellent views of the local mountain range. The skinny way up here. Look at that. But it’ll then descend into a steep, shooty, gnarly descent. Steep and technical in here. Wow. And lower down. It will surprise you with numerous ladder bridges. Wow. Is that ever nice? Seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The very bottom you’ll spill out in the highway right across the road from the Mark the Creek provincial campground. Frisbee Ridge is my favorite trail in all of Rel Stoke. And once you view the scenic views throughout the upper trail segment, you’ll see why. It’s ranked as an intermediate trail and it only has one brief optional expert level segment. So nearly everyone should be able to ride this one. The one caveat is that is an out and back trail with a total return length of 22 km and it also involves a 720 m climb and then a further 100 m descent to the small lake at the far end of the trail. So, I would highly recommend you be very physically fit or plan to take your time on a long climb. But the return trip is outstanding and the lower Floyd segment where you rip through the forest canopy remind you of the Ewok scene in the Star Wars movies. Well, that ends my top 10 trail list for Rebel Stoke. I hope this video has motivated you to ride one of my favorite regions to ride anywhere. There’s so many incredible unique trails to ride. And as always, thanks for watching, and I’ll see you next time.

I continue to return to Revelstoke, BC to ride their awesome mountain bike trails, over and over again. They have a wide range of trails, from the bermy flowy trails in the lower valley to the epic, scenic trails way up in the mountain alpine region. They also have more than enough, technical, feature ladden skill trails to suit everyone. And the outstanding, small town, adventure/hospitality vibe is so much fun! Check it out!!

  1. Nice and useful video as always 🙂 We've discovered several trails in the west thanks to your videos ! You should come visit the east side of the world one day (Quebec…you'd be surprised by the quality of the tails, the food, the beer…everything 😉 )
