芝浦工業大学、Team Birdman Trial（通称TBT）は、毎年琵琶湖で行われる鳥人間コンテストに、 大会唯一の二人乗り人力プロペラ機として出場しています。機体はもちろん学生自身で設計しています。丸一年をかけて、機体の設計、制作、試験を行い、7月に琵琶湖の空へと飛び立ちます。
“Team Birdman Trial (commonly known as TBT) from Shibaura Institute of Technology participates in the annual Birdman Rally held at Lake Biwa with the competition’s only two-seater human-powered propeller aircraft. The aircraft is, of course, designed entirely by the students themselves. Over the course of a full year, they design, build, and test the aircraft, culminating in its flight into the skies above Lake Biwa in July.”
